After many anonymous reports of celebrities abusing substances behind the scenes, an insider has reported that Jo Hwayeon of Phoenix is being investigated for drug usage. Although we cannot confirm it personally, it is interesting to see the face and leader of one of 2013 rising girl groups to be accused of drug usage. 

For those who of you who do not follow this girl group, Phoenix is a girl quartet that debuted early 2013 under Jellyfish Entertainment. They are the younger sister group of VIXX, and they have been charting quite well for a new girl group. Phoenix was labeled as one of the top rookie girl groups of 2013.

Jellyfish Entertainment representatives did not have an official statement prepared, but they did say, "We will cooperate with the police investigation of Jo Hwayeon. We do not know if she is guilty or not, but our company will not be interferring with the process. Please do not associate the rest of the Phoenix girls with this scandal as they have already been drug tested and have been confirmed to be drug free. Thank you."

There isn't much to say as of now, but we wonder what the fate of Phoenix is? There are four other girls, but only Hwayeon is publically recognized. We'll see when this scandal is resolved.
