You Ruined Everything

“Marry me.” Yoongi smiled from the couch as he watched the man in front of attempt to copy a dance move they had just seen on the TV. The man paused and turned to look at Yoongi with wide eyes. Yoongi was still smiling as he sat up waiting for a response from the man. He smiled the smile that still hurt Yoongi’s eyes a little because it was so goddamn bright. The man laughed.

“Wow Yoongi, I didn’t think my dancing was THAT good.” He said walking back towards Yoongi and sitting next to him.

“It’s not.” Yoongi rolled his eyes “You kind of at the moment.”

The man put his hand over his chest feigning hurt. “Ah, that cut me deep Yoongi” he grinned “And just for that my answer is no.” he said standing back up.

Yoongi panicked slightly “Wait hold on!” he grabbed the man’s wrist before he could take a step. “I was kidding.”

The man laughed. “So was I”. he sat back down. “I will marry you.”

Yoongi and the man smiled at each other for a few minutes, not saying anything. The man suddenly leaned and whispered “I love you, Min Yoongi.” His lips only centimeters away from Yoongi’s own.

“I love you too, Park Jimin.” Yoongi responded leaning in to close the distance.

Just as their lips were about to touch, Yoongi sat upright in bed. He was sweating and breathing heavily.

“What the ?!” Yoongi half yelled with wide eyes. “I met the stupid kid yesterday! How am I already having those kinds of dreams about him?!”

He saw the sun was already streaming through the curtains and looked at his clock. 9:33 am. Yoongi groaned and laid back down. He had the day off of work until about 3:00 but he knew that he should still get up.  He rolled to the left until he fell of the bed and stayed on the floor.

“Maybe I should go visit Hoseok and his trainee today.” He sighed and stood up, not really wanting to start the day.

It took him two hours to even take a single step out the door, and another ten minutes to make it to the gym. When he got there he asked the woman at the reception desk to see Hoseok.

“Mr. Jung?” She asked as Hoseok was trying to explain how one of the machines work to the new trainee. “Your friend is here to see you.”

Hoseok smiled. “Which one?” he inquired turning toward the woman. “The tall pretty one, or the short grumpy one?”

“Excuse me?” she asked, the trainee also looked confused.

“Well, I only have two non-work related friends” he started. “A tall guy, broad shoulders, really awkward but also impossibly pretty.” He laughed at his own description “And then a short grumpy grandpa, even though he’s still in his twenties, he just reminds me of a grandpa.” The trainee tried not to laugh.

“I uh…he’s kind of shortish?” she guessed. Hoseok grinned.

“Send him in!” he beamed The receptionist left to go get Yoongi and Hoseok turned to the trainee. “I think you’ll like my friend, he’s about your height.” Hoseok joked.

“I’ve known you for like four hours and you’re already making fun of my height?!” The trainee feigned hurt.

“It’s just a sign I like you.” Hoseok grinned looking towards the door. The moment he saw the familiar head of faded green hair, Hoseok ran and engulfed him in a hug. “You came! Yay! Bro you’re gonna like the trainee, he’s a lot like me!” Hoseok rambled while Yoongi was struggling to get out of Hoseok’s hold.

“Why would I want another one of you?” Yoongi said finally escaping. “I mean- “

“Yoongi?” The trainee interrupted. Yoongi looked to where he was and

“Jimin?” Yoongi raised an eyebrow. ‘what the is he doing here? What the .’ Was the only thing going through Yoongi’s mind as he stared at Jimin with wide eyes. He really did NOT need to see him after that dream.

“You guys already know each other?” Hoseok asked light heartedly to the two men that were staring at each other in shock. They nodded. “Can I ask how? I mean, Yoongi only has like two friends.” He added. Yoongi immediately snapped out of his shock and punched Hoseok’s arm.

“This idiot got stuck in a fence.” Yoongi shrugged as he watched Hoseok rub the sore spot. Jimin laughed also coming out of his initial shock. Hoseok sent a confused look over to the laughing boy.

“It wasn’t my fault!” Jimin defended

“Yeah, that’s right...” Yoongi also grinned “A squirrel stole your homework.” Yoongi rolled his eyes and Jimin nodded.

“A what did what?” Hoseok asked in with wide eyes. He was extremely surprised to see Yoongi joking so comfortably with someone besides he and Seokjin. He was also surprised hearing about a squirrel steeling his trainee’s homework and then said trainee getting stuck in a fence. This Jimin guy was something else.

“A squirrel stole my homework, I then chased said squirrel and got trapped in a fence.” Jimin said seriously.

“That doesn’t explain how you know this grandpa.” Hoseok said trying not to laugh.

“He got me out of the fence and I got him a hot chocolate as thanks.” Jimin smiled. Yoongi squinted, his smile seemed brighter in daylight, if that was possible.

“Yoongi you don’t even like chocolate.” Hoseok laughed pulling Yoongi back into a headlock.

“Yeah, but when have you known me to refuse free anything?” Yoongi struggled in Hoseok’s hold.  “That reminds me! Next time I make a life changing decision let me tell Seokjin instead of you sending a ing text!”

“What’d he do?” Hoseok laughed.

“Let’s just say that I’m pretty sure he would have actually murdered me if this guy weren’t there.” Yoongi said with a grave voice, nodding his head towards the still smiling Jimin. Hoseok and Jimin laughed.

“On another note” Jimin started “When’s lunch break?” he asked Hoseok, who immediately checked his watch from around Yoongi’s head. His eyes widening when he saw the time.  11:44 AM.

“In literally one minute.” Hoseok said finally letting go of Yoongi. “Nice catch Jimin!” Jimin only smiled in return.

“You guys should join me and my best friend for lunch.” Jimin stated.

“Really?” Hoseok asked, he wasn’t expecting Jimin to be so straight forward.  Jimin nodded.

The words ‘best friend’ Yoongi’s attention. He recalled Jimin saying that his best friend was dating Seokjin last night. Seokjin hadn’t let Hoseok nor Yoongi meet his boyfriend yet, even though they’ve asked so many times.

“We’re up for it.” Yoongi smirked. Hoseok looked at Yoongi in surprise.

“I’ll just text him then.” Jimin said taking his phone out of his pocket.

Within five minutes the three of them were waiting outside the coffee shop Jin worked at for Jimin’s best friend.

“All I’m saying is that fish shouldn’t get thirsty because” Jimin stopped in the middle of his sentence “TAE!” he called louder than was probably necessary. Yoongi and Hoseok turned just in time to see a man wearing sandals, loose fitting pants and chocolate brown hair sprinting towards them at full speed. They didn’t even have enough time to react before the man tackled Jimin to the ground. Jimin laughing as he went down. Hoseok and Yoongi stood there in shock.

“Jiminie!” the man laughed “I haven’t seen you in forever!”

“you literally saw me yesterday Taehyung.” Jimin giggled pushing his friend off so he could stand up. “And I’m still upset at you for stepping on my goddamn sandwich.”

“Still though.” Taehyung sighed standing up as well, finally noticing the two that Jimin was with “Hi! I’m Taehyung, Jimin’s friend.” He smiled a very rectangular smile at them.

“I’m Hoseok, I work with Jimin.” Hoseok laughed. “And this is Yoongi, my best friend.” Yoongi just nodded his head in acknowledgment. “We should head in already though, I’m starving.”

Taehyung nodded. “My boyfriend actually works here so I might be able to get us a discount.”

“Really?” Hoseok grinned “my other best friend besides Yoongi works here too! Our chances of discounts are doubled.” Hoseok and Taehyung high fived each other.

Jimin and Yoongi only gave each other knowing glances as they walked in. The hostess greeted them and took them to a booth near the back of the restaurant. While they were waiting for their waiter, who they were all hoping was Seokjin, they all chatted. And that was when Yoongi realized it.  He realized that he was sitting at a table with three beings that were obviously actually just pieces of sunlight that took human form. All of them were just too bright, especially the one with orange hair sitting across from him that went by the name Jimin. Just as Yoongi was about to reach for his sunglasses in hopes of maybe saving his eyesight from looking at the ‘sun’ for so long, they hear a huge clatter, as if somebody just dropped a tray filled with glass. Which, coincidently is what happened. They all turn their heads and see Seokjin staring at their table with wide eyes, not even paying attention to the fact that he had just dropped everything he was holding until one of his coworkers asked if he was ok. He quickly smiled, apologized and started cleaning up the mess he had made. Taehyung attempted not to coo at how cute his flustered boyfriend was, but failed miserably. The cooing got a laugh from Jimin, an amused smirk from Yoongi and a questioning glance from Hoseok. Before Hoseok could question him though, Seokjin was already at their table, glaring at the four of them.

“What are you guys doing here?” Jin hissed.

“What do you mean?” Yoongi feigned ignorance.

“You know exactly what I mean, grandpa!” He shot back. Taehyung’s eyes widened at Jin’s outburst.

“We’re just here to eat” Jimin played innocent. Jimin knew very well that Taehyung hadn’t met any of Seokjin’s friends yet and he thought this was a good way for him to meet them. Yoongi seemed to catch on without even needing to be told.

“Why are you all here together though?!” Jin snarled.

“What do you mean Jin?” the two who actually didn’t know what was going on asked in unison. Their brows furrowed in confusion. Hoseok and Taehyung looked at each other surprised that the other knew Jin’s name. Yoongi and Jimin just smirked mischievously at each other.

“I’m asking why my best friends are having lunch with my boyfriend, featuring Park Jimin.”  Jin said crossing his arms over his chest. Hoseok and Taehyung’s eyes both widened almost comically as they looked back at Jin. “Wait… did you guys not know?” Jin asks in realization.

“We knew!” Yoongi and Jimin practically sang. Jin deflated as he realized that he was the one who let it slip to the two that didn’t know.

“Anyways what can I get you?” Jin sighed and decided it was best to just do his job and let it go, for now.

“Strawberry milkshake” the ‘sunshine trio’, as Yoongi decided to call them, said simultaneously. The perfect unison making the two eldest jaw’s drop. Jin wrote it down and then glanced at the still gapping Yoongi. It took a few seconds before Yoongi was finally able to ask for a simple soda.

“Got it. Three strawberry milkshakes for the three biggest balls of sunshine I’ve ever met and a soda for the youngest grandpa in the world.” Jin smiles. Yoongi scowled while the other three just grinned.

“I cannot believe you guys are Seokjin’s friends!” Taehyung finally said turning back to Hoseok and Yoongi. “You guys don’t know how many times I’ve asked to meet you!”

“And you’re his boyfriend!” Hoseok laughed “YOU don’t understand how many times WE’VE asked to meet you!” he tried to emphasize.

“Why didn’t he let you guys meet before?” Jimin wondered aloud.

“Probably because we know all of his dirty little secrets and he doesn’t want us to embarrass him in front of his boyfriend.” Yoongi shrugged finally putting his sunglasses on.

“You look like a douche” Hoseok deadpanned.

“You three are too bright.” Yoongi defended. “It’s like staring straight at the sun.” That statement got Jimin to laugh, a lot. Jimin had never heard such a statement. “See? Right there, look at that! Literal sunshine just from that laugh!” Yoongi exclaimed pointing to Jimin, who started laughing harder. Hoseok and Taehyung couldn’t help but laugh as well. And that was what Jin came back to, a pouting sunglasses wearing Yoongi, Jimin who was laughing so hard that he occasionally squeaked and could barely breath, and the other two attempting to stifle their laughter with their hands.

“What the hell did I miss?” Jin asked raising an eyebrow as he set down everyone’s orders. Jimin started to calm down and attempted to start drinking his milkshake.

“The sunshine trio here seem to think it’s funny to try to blind me.” Yoongi declared adjusting the glasses. Jimin snorted grabbing a napkin to prevent his milkshake from coming out of his nose as he started laughing again.

“What? Are the three of them too bright for your old eyes, grandpa?” Seokjin laughed

“Yeah, they are.” Yoongi glared “I just don’t understand how some people could be this close to the sun without going blind. I’m impressed with you, Mom.” Yoongi added the nickname as revenge for all the ‘grandpa’ jokes that day.  Seokjin only laughed and told them to wave him down if they needed anything.

“So how’d you even meet that guy?” Yoongi asks Taehyung as soon as Jin started tending another table. Hoseok perked up to listen and he heard Jimin mumble a small ‘oh no’ and kind of regretted asking, but it was too late.

“Ok, so here I was in the park right?” Taehyung started “Totally trapped up high in a tree. Jimin as in the next tree over laughing his off at my predicament of not being able to climb back down.” He continued while making exaggerated hand movements.

“Why were you in the tree in the first place?” Hoseok interrupted.

“Friendly competition?” Jimin answered shrugging as he started drinking his milkshake again.

“So anyways, there I am hanging upside down on one of the top branches of a tree, this jerk’s laughing in another tree, I’m trying to think of a way down when all of a sudden” Taehyung pauses for effect. “the branch breaks and just as realized that I was about to die, I landed on this guy.” he takes a breath “just as I was about to apologize, the dude beat me to it.” He laughed “Can you believe it? the guy apologized after I landed on HIM” They all laughed, except for Jimin.

“Tell them what happened next Tae” Jimin sighed crossing his arms over his chest.

“I ditched Jimin who was still sitting in the tree to have coffee with Seokjin.” Taehyung scratched the back of his neck. Jimin stopped pouting as he heard Yoongi start laughing he most genuine laugh he’s heard yet. Jimin couldn’t help but think the sound of Yoongi’s laughter was beautiful. He didn’t even realize he was staring until Taehyung interrupted his thoughts.

“Right Jiminie?” Taehyung asks making Jimin nearly jump out of his seat.

“What?” he asks quickly turning his head toward his best friend. “Sorry I spaced out there for a second.”

“I said,” Taehyung paused rolling his eyes. “I made it up to you the next day though, right Jiminie?”

“I’d hardly call taking me to the zoo and then ‘accidentally’ pushing me into the duck pond, making it up to me” Jimin retorts back, sending a glare at Yoongi when he heard a snort come from him.

“Wow, you really are living up to your birthday Jimin.” Yoongi grinned “So unlucky…”

“You already know his birthday?!” Taehyung gasps “it took him over a year to tell me his birthday, how long have you guys known each other?” Taehyung asks squinting his eyes as Jimin laughs.

“Like a day” Yoongi shrugs.  Taehyung glares at the still laughing Jimin.

“It came up in conversation!” Jimin tried to defend.

“What is it?” Hoseok buts in

“October, thirteenth.” Jimin sighs

“Friday the thirteenth” Yoongi and Taehyung added simultaneously. Hoseok just nodded.

“Oh come on its not that unlucky! After all, that was the day the adorable me was born!” Jimin added putting his hands on his cheeks and smiling, trying to look cute. Taehyung cringed at his act. Just as Hoseok was about to comment, Jin showed back up.

“Ok, I’ve got a five-minute break” he grinned “Hoseok scooch” Jin slid into the booth next to Hoseok effectively squishing Yoongi against the wall.

“Really Seokjin?” Yoongi complained, getting a sympathetic look from Jimin.

“Oh stop complaining Yoongi” Jin swatted his head from around Hoseok. “Anyways what was that story you told me last night Tae? With the Monkeys or whatever? I think that these two would enjoy it.” He grinned as Jimin covered his face with his hand.

“Oh! That one!” Taehyung grinned “Once there was a Syrian prince who lived with the peaceful monkeys near his aunt’s boyfriends cabin and had an old sheep dog named paco sinbag”

“No, no, no” Hoseok shook his head at Taehyung. “Stop. Stop.” Everyone laughed as Taehyung apologized with a grin.

After a few moments of talking about random things something caught Hoseok’s eye making his eyes widen. “!” he tried standing, only to knock the table with his thighs making everything shake.

“What is it?” “Yoongi asked grabbing his drink so it wouldn’t fall.

“Jimin he need to go,” Hoseok said as he climbed over Jin’s lap “we have less than five minutes to get back to the gym.” Jimin nodded and climbed out of the booth as well. Hoseok immediately grabbed his wrist and started dragging him out of the café.

“Wait what about the bill?” Jimin asked turning back toward the table.

“No time. You can pay Yoongi back later.” Hoseok responded quickly. “Nice meeting you Taehyung!” he called back.

“Did...Did Hoseok just volunteer me to pay for everyone’s lunch?”  Yoongi asked as he turned back around after watching the two leave.

Taehyung laughed “I’ll pay for Jimin and myself don’t worry.”

Yoongi nodded as he took his sunglasses. He sighed and pulled his wallet out and placed the money on the table.

“Are you leaving already?” Taehyung asked as Yoongi was about to stand up.

“I have some work to do,” Yoongi responded “Why? Did you want me to stay?”

“I just thought that you could tell me some stories about Jin, and I don’t know maybe get to know you?” Taehyung paused “I could also tell you about myself and Jimin.”

Yoongi was taken aback for a few moments. “Alright.” Yoongi responded before he even completely processed what he was agreeing to.

“I need to get back to work.” Jin said standing back up and fixing is apron. Taehyung smiled at him. “Yoongi I swear to god if you share anything too embarrassing, I will put tooth paste in your pillow case.” He stated before walking away from the table.

“Again?!” Yoongi called after the retreating figure.

“What do you mean ‘again’?” Taehyung inquired.

“He used to put tooth paste in my pillow cases whenever I said anything embarrassing about him” Yoongi crossed his arms with a scowl on his face. “And sense we were in high school, my mom would just let him into the house and do whatever he wanted.”

“Wow really?” Taehyung asked. Yoongi nodded.

“Sometimes I felt like he was better friends with my mom than he was with me.” Yoongi sighed “like one time Hoseok and I invited him to the movies, and he said he had plans, and then when we got back to my house Seokjin was sitting in my living room drinking tea with my mom!”

Taehyung burst into hysterical laughter. “That’s… so cute” He said between giggles.

“How is that cute?” Yoongi scoffed “He literally blew off his best friends to hang out with my mom.”

“Jin is a very motherly person.” Taehyung stated as means of explanation.

“Although that is true…” Yoongi began to protest “That doesn’t mean he should hang out with my mother.”

“Well, I think that you’re probably equally weird.” Taehyung laughed. Yoongi raised an eye brow about to ask when Taehyung continued “I mean, who goes up to someone stuck in a fence in the middle of the night?” He explained.

“I was curious.” Yoongi shrugged.

“I personally would have kept walking if I were you.” Taehyung pouted “no matter how curious I was.”

“Yeah, well I got a free hot chocolate so...” Yoongi defended

“You don’t even like chocolate Yoongi.” Jin said as he passed by their table with someone else’s food.

“Leave me alone.” Yoongi attempted to swat him but was a second to late and hit the air.  “It’s not my fault, you know. My body reacted before my mind.”

“Jimin’s a lot like that too.” Taehyung nodded. “that’s why he ends up doing stupid things like getting stuck in fences.”

“Well at least I’m not that bad.” Yoongi laughed.

“Jimin is also Psychic!” Taehyung added enthusiastically. Yoongi could only stare at his table mate. “I mean like, he has these dreams and then they come true within a year and basically that’s the only reasonable answer.”

“Or they’re just coincidences?” Yoongi sighed.

“No way!” Taehyung shook his head “Last month he dreamed that he would meet someone with green hair and here you are.”

“A lot of people have green hair.” Yoongi tried to deny

“Name one other person besides yourself that has green hair.” Taehyung crossed his arms.

“You win this round.” Yoongi squinted. “You’re an odd one Kim Taehyung.”

“I take pride in that.” Taehyung laughed as he looked down at his watch. “What the heck?”

“What?” Yoongi looked up from his drink to see Taehyung frowning.

“What time is it?” He asked adjusting his watch

“Its…” Yoongi pulled his phone out “almost one?!” Yoongi’s eyes widened, it didn’t feel like they had been talking for that long.

“Damn it!” Taehyung pouted “I have to get going, I have a job interview soon. And I still have to get ready.” He started standing up. “It was nice to meet you, Yoongi.” He smiled and waved at Jin before leaving.

Jin slid into the booth that Taehyung had just left almost immediately.

“What’d you tell him?” Jin interrogated

“Only that you hung out with my mom, and put tooth past in my pillow cases.” Yoongi grinned.

Jin’s eyes narrowed “You guys were talking too long for that to be the only thing.”

“No I swear!” Yoongi shook his head “He mostly just talked about how he thought you were cute, and a little about Jimin”

Jin hummed in thought. “Alright, I’ll believe you for now.” Yoongi let out a breath of relief, he really didn’t feel like washing tooth paste off of anything besides his teeth. “So what’d you think?” Jin asked after a moment.

“Think of what?” Yoongi cocked his head to the side

“Of Tae.” Jin leaned forward to hear Yoongi’s answer.

“He’s different from what I was expecting.” Yoongi laughed “I was expecting someone more reserved and less energetic and sunshiny, like the other people you have dated, but… I think he suits you well. You guys contrast each other but still somehow seem to fit.”

“I know he’s a lot different from the anyone else.” Jin smiled “But I think he’s also better.”

“How whipped are you?” Yoongi joked. Jin just laughed in response.

“Are you sure you don’t want anything to do with love anymore?” Jin inquired calmly, changing the subject. Yoongi lowered his head and stared at the table for a few moments. “Yoongi?” Jin spoke in an oddly soothing manner, almost like a mothers.

“Can you keep a secret Jin?” Yoongi asked suddenly, looking at his nodding friend. “I had this dream last night…” Jin’s eyes widened and leaned forward for him to go on. “That I asked that kid to… marry…me” Yoongi whispered the last part of his sentence, his cheeks turning slightly pink.

“That kid?” Jin raised an eyebrow.

“Jimin.”

“YOU HAD A DREAM THA” Jin’s yell got cut off by Yoongi’s hand over his mouth. They stayed like that until the people in the surrounding tables stopped staring at them. Yoongi eventually removed his hand and Jin continued quietly. “You had a dream that you asked Park Jimin to marry you?!” Jin shrieked in a voice just over a whisper. Yoongi nodded, blush deepening slightly.

“What do you think that means?” Jin wondered aloud.

“Something bad.” Yoongi said taking a sip from his almost empty glass. Jin gave him a confused look. “It probably means that Park Jimin is going to ruin my plan, no matter how hard I try to stick to it.”

“Your plan to not fall in love or whatever?” Jin questioned. Yoongi nodded.  “That’s a good thing Yoongi.” Jin smirked.

“No, it’s not Jin.” Yoongi protested “What if something happens, huh? I don’t want another heart break. I don’t want to have to get over another lost love. I don’t want to go into another relationship scared that the same things will happen again. I don’t want to fall and be broken again… Not again Jin.” Yoongi scowled as a single tear rolled down his cheek.

Jin was shocked at the reaction he got. He hadn’t seen Yoongi like this before, not this intense. He’d seen Yoongi cry over a break up and over books. He’d seen Yoongi angry enough to break things. He’d seen Yoongi yell, and sob, and he’d seen Yoongi hurt. But Jin had never seen Yoongi look this broken and vulnerable. He didn’t have a response to what Yoongi just said. Jin knew that Jimin wasn’t the type to do cheat, or do anything that would possibly hurt the person he loved. Jin knew that if Yoongi were to give love just one more chance that he’d be happy with Jimin. Jin knew these things, and wanted to tell Yoongi, but the words were getting caught in his throat as he watched Yoongi angrily wipe away the tear from his cheek. The only thing he could think of to do was move to the same side of the booth and hug his broken friend. He wrapped his arms around Yoongi and the faded green hair gently. Yoongi didn’t respond to the hug, he sat there while Jin attempted to sooth him.

“You know…” Jin murmured quietly “If you give Jimin a chance…”

“There’s another thing Jin” Yoongi interrupted “We don’t even know if Jimin is interested in me, or in guys in general.”

“Oh trust me, he’s interested.” Jin laughed as he loosened his grip on Yoongi. “I’ve never seen him laugh as hard as he was earlier when you called him the human embodiment of the sun. He was literally dying.”

“That doesn’t mean-“ Yoongi was cut off by Jin shushing him.

“Just give him a chance.” Jin smiled and stood up. “Breaks over, I have to work.”

Yoongi stood up as well. “I might as well go to work early today; it’s not like I have anything better to do.”

The time flew by while he was at the studio and before he knew it, it was already 8:00 pm. Yoongi sighed as he packed up his stuff, ready to go home. He really was bad at estimating time, he learned today. Just as he left the building his stomach growled at him.

“I’ll just get some take out or something” he mumbled and started walking home.

Yoongi passed by the gym that Hoseok and Jimin work at on his way and bumped into somebody, causing them to drop what seemed to be keys.

“Ah sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” Yoongi said as he reached down to pick the man’s keys up for him. When he stood back up he locked eyes with a smiling Jimin. “What the- Jimin? What are you doing here, didn’t the gym close at like 7:30 or something?”

“New guy has to stay behind and clean everything by himself for like a month.” Jimin laughed as he took his keys from Yoongi. “What about you, what are you still doing out?”

“I was working.” Yoongi shrugged. Jimin smiled wider, making his eyes turn into crescents. Yoongi wanted to put his sunglasses on even though the sun had gone down hours ago. “Anyways, I’ll see you later Jimin.” Yoongi said as he started walking again.

“Wait!” Jimin called as he jogged to catch up. “Have you eaten yet?”

“Yeah, I have.” Yoongi lied, and as if on cue his stomach growled loud enough for Jimin to hear. “But it was around five hours ago.” He lied again, the last time he ate was the lest time he had seen Jimin, and that was before noon.

“Do you want to join me for dinner?” Jimin asked. Yoongi raised an eye brow at his offer. “I mean- like- I live alone, and- I mean, I like having company while I eat, and normally I would invite Tae, but he and Seokjin have a date so- I was wondering if…” Jimin’s frantic explanation was cut off by Yoongi laughing.

“That was a cute explanation” Yoongi commented through giggles. Jimin began to blush.

“So, would you like to?” Jimin asked again while rubbing the back of his neck.

Yoongi hesitated. He knew that Jimin was going to ruin his plan if he said yes, but just as he was about to decline, he remembered what Jin had told him earlier. ‘Just give him a chance.’ The words echoed through Yoongi’s head for a moment.

“Sure.” Yoongi nodded. He couldn’t help but smile back when Jimin grinned at him.

And that was how Yoongi ended up sitting on Park Jimin’s kitchen counter watching Jimin cook spaghetti. Out of all of the possible scenarios Yoongi thought his day would go, this was not even close to any of them. Jimin was humming while he was chopping garlic and Yoongi sat there in silence. It wasn’t an awkward silence, actually quite the opposite, they were both comfortable. Yoongi looked around at his surroundings. The kitchen was painted a light blue and everything was a lot cleaner than he was expecting.

“Aren’t you renting?” Yoongi decided to break the silence. Jimin looked up from what he was doing and turned to Yoongi.

“Well obviously” Jimin laughed “This IS an apartment.”

“It’s just that your walls are painted.” Yoongi defended “My landlord would kick me out if I painted my walls.”

“Are your walls still just plain white?” Jimin asked with wide eyes. Yoongi nodded. “How do you live?!” Jimin gasped.

“It’s not that bad honestly.” Yoongi shrugged. Jimin shook his head in disapproval.

“Color adds more to life. You can’t just live in monochrome.” Jimin said as he began to stir the noodles.

“That’s why my hair’s green” Yoongi stated as he got down from the counter. Jimin laughed, he related sense his hair was bright orange. Yoongi made his way over to where Jimin stood, looking over his shoulder. “Is there anything I can do?”

Jimin jumped slightly at the sudden close proximity. “Nah, we just have to wait for everything to finish cooking.” Jimin responded after a moment. Yoongi shrugged and stepped back letting Jimin pass him to go to the refrigerator.

“Do want something to drink?” Jimin asked “I have…. Juice.”

“What kind of juice?” Yoongi asked. Jimin only laughed and waved him over as response. Yoongi walked over next to Jimin to see what made him laugh. What he saw was defiantly surprising to say the least. Jimin had at least seven different kinds of juice. “What the Park Jimin?” Was all Yoongi could say.

“Sometimes, when I go shopping I see that the store has a new kind of juice and I buy it without thinking.” Jimin laughed. “My body reacted before my mind did. And now I have juice.”

Yoongi chuckled as he took out a dark purple juice, half drunken already. “Pomegranate juice” Yoongi mumbled. “I’ll try this.” He said handing the bottle to Jimin, smiled and poured the rest of the juice into two glasses and throwing the container away. Yoongi took a sip from the glass Jimin handed him and was surprised by the taste.

“What the hell? It’s sweet and bitter at the same time!” Yoongi scoffed as he took another sip.

“Yeah well, so are you Min Yoongi.” Jimin laughed as he also took a sip.

“Rude” Yoongi deadpanned as he turned around to hind the blush he felt creeping on his cheeks. Jimin laughed and went back to the stove.

“It looks like everything’s done” Jimin cheered. “Do you want to sit at the table or in the living room and watch TV while we eat?”

“It’s your house, you choose.” Yoongi shrugged.

“Living room it is.” Jimin laughed as he finished serving the food on to plates. He handed Yoongi his plate as he walked passed him into the living room, turning the TV on in the process. Yoongi sat next to Jimin on the floor and focused on the Television as he absentmindedly ate probably the best spaghetti he had ever tasted. About half way through dinner they ended up watching a show for people to show case their talents.

“Wait hold on that was cool!” Jimin Said standing up. “How did they do that? Like… this?” Jimin attempted to copy the dance move that they had just watched on the screen. Yoongi suddenly remembered his dream and started choking on the soft pasta. “Woah Yoongi! Are you ok?” Jimin asked as he rushed over to rub Yoongi’s back.

“Yeah, I’m…” Yoongi coughed “I’m fine. Do you always do that?”

“Do what?” Jimin cocked his head to the side “Try to copy dance moves I see on the TV?” Yoongi nodded. “Yeah, every time I see something cool I want to try it before I forget!” Jimin shoots Yoongi an eye smile before standing back up and trying the move again, Yoongi sits there in awe of how different Jimin looks when he dances. He becomes more serious and, for lack of a better word, y. Not that Yoongi thought Jimin was y. Jimin tried the move a few more times, both he and Yoongi forgetting about their dinners and the TV playing in the background. Both of them focusing on the dancing.

“I think you got it.” Yoongi says after watching for a few minutes. Jimin immediately switching back from serious into his normal sunshiny self.

“How was I? Did I look cool?” Jimin asked while he sat back down.

“You were eh.” Yoongi lied. Jimin didn’t look ‘eh’ he was actually really cool. Yoongi would never admit it though.

“Awe I wanted to look cool!” Jimin pouted, sticking his bottom lip out.

“You’re never gonna look cool if you keep pouting like a kid.” Yoongi joked.

“I want to be a cool kid.” Jimin said with a seriously. Yoongi couldn’t stop laughing after that.

They joked with each other for the next hour, forgetting about their food and the TV that was still playing in the background. By the time they had even remembered their half-eaten plates the food was already cold. They shrugged and cleared their plates, they weren’t really that hungry anymore anyways. The only thing that actually made them realize how late it was, was when Taehyung suddenly burst through the door scaring the out of Yoongi and making Jimin sigh.

“Jimin! You’ll never believe what…” Taehyung trailed off as he saw Yoongi sitting there in his best friends living room. “Yoongi? What are you doing here at 10:30 at night?”

“It’s 10:30 already?!” Jimin and Yoongi both asked in shock, Jimin spinning around to look at the clock over his stove.

“, it’s late.” Yoongi sighed as he stood up. “I better get going.”

Jimin nodded and stood up as well, to walk him out. “Bye Yoongi, don’t get stuck in a fence on your way home.” He joked.

“You should be telling yourself that” Yoongi rolled his eye, as he walked out the door. “Bye, to the both of you.”

Jimin turned to Taehyung slightly annoyed. “What did you want Tae?”

“I was gonna tell you that Seokjin and I almost got arrested because I chased a squirrel, but” Taehyung paused “Now I’m interested in why Yoongi was here.”

“First of all, why would you chase a squirrel, and second how would you almost get arrested for that.”

“Revenge, and I ran into a grumpy police officer.” Taehyung shrugged “Why was he here?” He asked again.

“I’m not going to ask about what kind of revenge…” Jimin shook his head. “And he was here for dinner.”

“Dinner?”

“Yeah, we had spaghetti. You know I don’t like eating alone and I ran into him outside the gym so I invited him to dinner.” Jimin grinned.

“So, like a date?” Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows

“What? No, not like a date!” Jimin denied, a slight blush dusting his cheeks. Taehyung shook his head in disbelief before walking over to the refrigerator and grabbed a random carton of juice.

Meanwhile Yoongi had gotten home quickly with no trouble. Jimin lived surprisingly close to him, only three blocks away. When he walked through the door he immediately flopped down on his bed, not caring that he was still in his everyday clothes.

As Yoongi fell asleep that night he was positive of three things

  1. He planned to stay single for the rest of his life
  2. Park Jimin was the idiot who was going to ruin that plan
  3. He was probably going to let him

A/N: oohh man it’s been a while sense I updated this fic. I’m sorry for the long wait, I hope that the hella long chapter makes up for it lmao. I figured that part two was already too long as it is so I changed it to three parts instead of only two so that one chapter wouldn’t be too long… let me know what you think in the comments! (Up vote and subscribe too maybe)

Chapter 5: You almost killed me with all that fluff! I was in a class and I had to stop myself from squealing and smiling to myself too much XD

It's been a while since I read fluff (I've been reading a lot of angst lately) and I can honestly say that it's refreshing. I'm starting to ship these two and imagining Mr Grumpy and Mr Cutie together Is a dream (a good one XD) hahaha

Well, I'm off to read your other fics XD
