A few days had passed without any conflicts between the two house animals, and so Kyungsoo had been searching for his next opportunity to attack. He spent most hours of his day thinking of countless plans that would inflict all sorts of pain onto Chanyeol.

But as he’s midway through planning something new, he heard an alarming noise, which he recognized to be the mother’s whimpering voice. He followed her scent all the way to the bedroom, and goes in through the barely open door, looking in to find the woman sitting on the bed, her knees pulled up to her chest, weeping.

The times the cat had heard such sounds were very few, since mother was a very strong woman who rarely cried, so he knew right away something was wrong. That noise always meant that she was sad, and Kyungsoo hated when she was sad. He could feel her pain, and it upset him. Her feelings quickly became his too.

He jumped on the bed, smoothly rubbing his furry body on her legs as he made his way to her hands, which were already calling him into an embrace.

Only a few seconds later, they heard another noise entering the room. It was the beagle, the sound of his heavy paws on the ground being quite distinctive. The animal ruffled his way to the side of the bed, and helplessly attempted to get up on it, but
