Jong Kook and Ji Hyo couldn’t resist, buying presents for their little ones every Christmas. Jong Kook would put up a beautiful Christmas tree and they would gave each of their children a present and place it under the Christmas tree. They would also place presents for their kids from the other running men under the tree. They enjoyed looking at their children happily unwrapping their gifts on Christmas monring, after their Christmas breakfast.

This year was no difference, Jong Kook had arranged a present buying date with Ji Hyo. His parents had generously agreed to take care of their four grandchildren, it was not hard to persuade them. They dropped of their kids at their parents, “Be good and please remember, your grandparents are really old” Jong Kook reminded his kids, but not out of ear shots of his parents. His parents gave him a death stare, which made him scramble back to his car real fast.

Ji Hyo on the other hand was warmly welcome by his parents “Take care of your grandparents, the four of you, be good” she said.

“Oppa, why cant you gave that kind of advice before you reach parents’ house?” Ji hyo disapproved of his speech.

“I forgot and remembered when I got out of the car, who knew their hearing was that good” Jong Kook replied, he knew his parents had some sense of humor in them, and hopefully would have forgotten the incident when they are back.

They had already decided what to get for their kids this Christmas

• Their eldest son, a super hero toy set.
• The twins, a zoo collection
• Their youngest son, a train set

The children could share their toys and get more fun out of them. They reached one of the biggest toy store in town and start their selection. They also had decided to get some toys for the orphanage, Ji Hyo had emailed one of them and had picked up a few wishes, they were going to fulfil. They spend an hour or so selecting things on their shopping list, after getting all they needed, Jong Kook was looking really tired.

Ji Hyo couldn’t help but husband “Tired already, usually you could exercise for 2 hours straight without stopping”

“This is different, I don’t know how women can shop for hours but I had reached my limits, let’s stop for a break, ok?” Jong Kook was surrendering, his legs are tired, his arms are fatigue, his mouth was dried and his back pained. Luckily, he just needs to endure four times per year, the children’s birthday and Christmas. And thankfully, Ji Hyo always planned what they needed to purchase, and they did targeted shopping.

Ji Hyo agreed, she was worried about Jong Kook’s back, she was afraid the shopping would hurt his back. It did once, and now she learnt her lessons. Her husband usually didn’t ask for help but he would in front of her, because she is his wife. She smiled, she knew Jong Kook would only show his weakness when they were together, she was his confide.

They found a seat in the café, Jong Kook had ordered their usual, Americano and green tea. The cake looked good and he couldn’t help but wanted Ji Hyo to try a piece, he ordered a piece of mango moose cake. He returned to their seat, Ji Hyo was making sure they got whatever they wanted.

“We bought everything?” Jong Kook asked.

“Yes” she replied. “Are we getting anything for the running men gift exchange?”

“Oh Yeah, we forgotten to pick up something for the gift exchange and also the kids.” Jong Kook felt deflated, more shopping to do.

“Let’s plan what would they like.” Ji Hyo trying to make sure the shopping trip will be shorter.

Jong Kook gave it a thought, “Let’s buy them a gift voucher, let them picked up their own present. As for the kids, gave them some café vouchers.”

“Oppa!! That’s so insincere, how about we get two man wallets, some of you guys really need to change to a new one,” it included her husband, he was reluctant to part with his, giving Ji Hyo all sort of excuses. Ji Hyo didn’t force him too, she understood his principles. He nodded in agreement, they were the luckiest, they could get men items as gifts, the others were not so lucky, they needed to consider their present would be for Ji Hyo.

“As for their kids, café vouchers really sound practical” she sighed, she had to agree on her oppa's suggestion. Some of them were already doing university. Their drinks came together with the cake, Ji Hyo eyes lighted up when she saw the cake. They enjoyed their drinks and cake slowly before they spent another 15 minutes getting the rest of the presents.

Ji Hyo and Jong Kook took time to wrap all the presents together. Jong Kook made some beautiful gift cards to go with the presents. These was the activities that Jong Kook loved during Christmas, he would get to spend a lot of time with his wife. They still wouldn’t buy each other a present for special occasions, just the promise they would spend time together but that was the best presents they would gave to each other.
