Yoong is standing in front of his appartement waiting patiently for the door to open from the inside. He knew the password, heck it’s his appartement  of course he knew it. So why the hell he just stand still and waiting for the door to open. It’s because her daughter Yumi love to open the door for Yoong when he came home from his work. And if he open the door by himself, he will get cold shoulder from his daughter, that happened once and he will not repeat that. The other reason is because he loves it, and he knew that he will not wait too long since upon hearing the door bell ring Yumi will come running to get the door open immidietly.

And he is right, the door open right after he count until 10. Yeah right her daughter will become a good runner when she grow up and if she wants it. But until then she will just become his angel, his sunshine, his world and many more. He will give everything her daughter want, and he will do anything she ask for.

“Appa…” Yumi said after she open the door for her Appa to come in. She is clinging to her father legs and smile brightly to her father.

Yoong looked down to his daughter and smile, gone all his tiredness and any other thing work related after he saw the smile in her daughter face. He can be dead and be alive right after he saw his daughter bright smile.

Yumi take her Appa hand and hurry him inside with little impatient, she really want to introduce her pretty unnie to her father.

“Palli Appa, pretty unnie is waiting” Yoong just shake his head at his daughter antic.

When they are arrive at the living room, Yoong see someone who he is sure she is who Yumi’s called her pretty unnie. He just see her back but he feels familiar with her back view. He shake his head to clear his mind, what a fool though to think that he has ever meet her daughter pretty unnie.

And when she turn around to face him and his daughter, he froze in his step and couldn’t believe with what he saw.

“Appa, that is my pretty unnie. She is really pretty right” Yumi said to his father and face her pretty unnie.

“Pretty unnie this is my Appa, he is good looking right” she said exactly the same as she said to his father.

“Appa you met pretty unnie already, so when will she become my mother?” Yumi ask her father who still frozen in his place. And when she still not heard her father answer she tug his father shirt that wake Yoong from his though.

Jessica heard the sound of foot step coming toward her. She turn around to face them, and come to shock of what she saw in front of her. She doesn’t even heard Yumi voice when Yumi introduced her father. Yoong clear his throat and that wake her from her day dreaming. Yoong put his hand out for her to shake and she takes it.

“I’m Im Yoong Yumi’s father, miss Jung. Nice to see you” Yoong said while shaking his hand with her.

“Call me Jessica, we are not in the office. It’s really nice to see you too.” Jessica said after Yoong introduced himself.

Yumi who is watching her  Appa and her pretty unnie finally met is happy. And repeat her earlier question for her father.

“Appa, she is pretty right, so when will she  become my mother. I really want pretty unnie to be my mother.”

She then face Jessica and said “You want to be my mother right pretty unnie? I really want a mother like all my friend in school.” Yumi said with teary eyes. And Jessica doesn’t know what to answer her question.

Yoong who sence Jessica nervousness then answer her daughter question.

“Yumi don’t ask something to stranger that not nice”

Jessica who heard Yoong answer feels hurt and sad because Yoong still think of her as stranger. She then answer Yumi’s question with something that she herself not expect it.

“Of course, I want to be your mother  Yumi.”

“Yeayyy, I have a mother now. Thank you Eomma I love you” Yumi is really happy with what she heard. She come to Jessica and hug her legs and then to his father and hug her leg too.

On the other hand Jessica and Yoong once again froze in their place but woke up right away when they felt Yumi’s hug.

Yoong still can not believe that his boss said that to his daughter. He feels that all of what she said is only because she feels  sympathy toward his daughter. And he doesn’t want that to happen, he doesn’t want Yumi to be broken when Jessica found someone that she really love and leave Yumi broken and hurt. Just like he felt  when Yumi’s mother leave him and baby Yumi alone. But at the same time he can do that and make the smile form her daughter face gone.

They are watching Yumi’s favorite cartoon while waiting for Yoong to change his clothes. Jessica is still thinking of what she said to Yumi about becoming her mother. She feels that even though she said that because she felt hurt by Yoong answer, but she can not denied that she really meant what she said to Yumi. She will gladly become her mother even if Yumi not asked her for that.

In his room, he keep thinking what will his next move to make Yumi change her mind about making Jessica to be her mom. A solution that will not make Yumi’s hurt. But what is it, he still couldn’t find a way. He will ask his friend idea about this.

He came out from her room and saw her daughter  playing happily with his boss in his living room.  He clear his throat that make both of them turn their head and looking at him. Yumi smile to his father and running toward him with Jessica following her from behind. There are awkwardness around them, except from Yumi’s side of course. Yumi asked them to go play ice skating and Yoong who can not say no to his daughter just nodded his head yes.

And here they are in the ice skating place, Yumi with his father help wear her shoes. Jessica on the other hand just stand still, she doesn’t know how to skate. She doesn’t want to tell them because Yumi seems really want to skate and she doesn’t want to make her sad. So here she is looking like fool just standing watching the interaction between father and his daughter (her daughter too she hope).

“Why are you still standing there miss, err I mean Jessica-ssi” said Yoong who is looking at his boss just standing there watching.

Jessica shocked with Yoong question since he is not talking to her or even looking at her right after what she said to Yumi’s before.

“Ehm, I will just wait here you can playing there with Yumi.” Jessica answered after she gain her composure.

“Why eomma, you don’t want to play with Yumi anymore?” Yumi asked with sad expression plester in her face. She heard Jessica answered to her Appa question.

“Oh it’s not like that sweety, unnie really want to play with Yumi. It’s  just….”

“Eomma”

“huhh” Jessica said with confused expression in her face.

“Eomma, it’s eomma not unnie, right Appa” Yumi said and face her father face. Yoong who caught of his guard with Yumi question just stay still and then nodded his head when Yumi  once again asked him.

“oohh” Jessica said while nodding her head when she understood what Yumi meant.

“So come eomma play skate with Yumi and Appa” Yumi said and pull Jessica hand toward ice skating place.

Jessica is looking at Yoong like she ask for his help, and Yoong who understand that said  “Wait angel,  let Jessica-ssi put her shoes first so she can play there with us.”

Jessica let out a breath of relief, and thanking Yoong with smile in her face. Yoong who is looking at her face and see her smile feels something strange within him like when he saw Yumi’s smile for the first time to him.

They are inside the ice skating place, with Yumi skating around and already make a few friends around her age. When Yoong want to skate toward Yumi he feels Jessica tug his shirt and won’t let his arm go. Like she want to say don’t leave me but Yoong who feels it will be dangerous for him if he always alone with her, just shrug his shoulder and take a skate toward Yumi leaving Jessica alone.

Jessica feels sad when Yoong just leave her like that, she stay still and try to skate but it will always end with her falling. She wants to cry, she takes a look at Yumi who is smiling from ear to ear and toward Yoong who is talking to someone and that someone is a she. She feels alone and feels her tear fall she wipe it away but it keep falling.

 Yoong who secretly take a glance at Jessica watching her fall and her sad expression, and when he saw her tear fall from her eyes he can’t take it anymore and skate  toward her. Leaving whoever is talked to him.

He come in front of Jessica and extend his hand toward her to take. Jessica who is still focus to wipe away her tears look up and see Yoong in front of her, she take his hand and Yoong pull her to stand up but since she can’t control her balance she fall into his arm. And Yumi has to come in the right time, she smile of what she saw.

“Appa, Eomma”

They are surprised and pull away immediately, but Jessica fall again this time to her back but before that happen reflect Yoong wrap his arm around Jessica and pull her toward him. Yumi smile looking at them and turn around to skating with her new friends again.

“Bye Appa, please take care of eomma okay.” Yumi scream toward his father.

They are still hugging and when they heard Yumi scream the pull away but this time Yoong arm still secure around her.

“I will teach you how to skate Jessica-ssi, do you want me to teach you?”

“Please call me Jessica or sica no need for formality, and yes I want you to teach me. Thank you”

Yoong is holding her hand to guard her to skate toward him slowly. Jessica hold Yoong hand tightly afraid if he will let go and she will fall again.

“Come on Jess, skate don’t be scared I will not let go of your hand again”

Jessica is happy don’t know why, maybe because Yoong called her name and without formality or because of what Yoong said. He will not let go of her hand. She feels good so she take a step toward him and skate to him very slowly.

And true for his word, they are skating around with Yoong still holding her hand. Even though she feels she can skate around by herself now but she will take the option to skating around hand in hand with Yoong.
