"Why are you hiding behind a bush?" I ask her and she jolts in surprise.

I waited for her outside the school building. I sat by a bench for two hours with my thoughts as company, at exactly five minutes after six I see her rush to the hedges and squat behind the bushes. I watch her, wondering if she was about to pee or whatever the she was meaning to do. But after a couple of minutes had gone past she just remained crouched peering out from time to time. It wasn't rocket science to figure out she was hiding.

"Shhhh.... Don't look here!" She shushed me and gestures for me to look forward. I scoffed at her but otherwise followed her instruction. Was she playing hide and seek? "I'm waiting for Jiyong." She tells me in her hushed voice.

Still looking forward, I ask her, "Behind a bush? Are you planning some sort of ambush?"

I hear a "Tsk." of impatience coming from her. This girl is unbelievable! It's like I made an illogical assumption with my statement... If anyone was illogical it would be the girl crouched behind bushes, I think. I glance at her and she shakes her head and points forward a number of times while biting her lip. I wrinkle my brow at her, this is not making any sense. She looks exasperated and keeps on pointing for me to look forward.

The sound of chatter and the scuffle of shoes came from the entrance of the building; a group came into view. It was her friends from earlier and Jiyong's seemingly all paired off with each other. Was she hiding from them?

"Ah!" Seungrat the rat exclaimed, "Hyung! Have you seen Dara?" Suspicion confirmed.

"I might." I answered.

"Huh?" He looks at me confused with my answer. I wonder what kind of face she's making.

"I mean she might be the girl that ran past a few minutes ago."

"Ah, she went home already." The blond girl commented.

I shrugged. Seungrat proceeded to introduce the girls to me. Chaerin, Bom and Minzy, I think their name was. I was only half paying attention, my mind somewhere behind the bushes.

"Ah, hyung, what are you doing here anyway? Aren't you heading home?"

"No, I'm on tokki duty."

I smirked at him, "Nothing, I need to do something I'm just waiting."
