Small Talks
Aldebaran
It was another night. There he was again - sitting on the rooftop and staring at the night sky. Blue shirt together with blue long pants accompanied with a blue scarf and matching blue shoes and mittens. Jung Hwan figured that he really loved blue.
“Hi,” he muttered. “You’re here again,” he added.
“Hello!” Jason replied. “The stars are lovely.” He pointed up. Then he turned to look at the boy standing beside him.
“Can I sit here?” Jung Hwan asked politely.
“Sure, why not?” Jason let out a soft chuckle. “I’m a Korean-American. I’m born on the 20 April.” He continued.
The boy was puzzled.
“Why is he telling me that?” he thought.
Jason chuckled again after reading Jung Hwan’s expression.
“Every birth date is represented by a star in the sky,” Jason explained. "My birth date happens to be on the first date of the horoscope Taurus." He chirped.
Jason seemed excited about the topic.
“That makes me part of Aldebaran!” he exclaimed. “The brightest star in the Taurus constellation!”
Jung Hwan listened in amazement; he never knew that.
"You can't see it here, though." He looked dejected. “I could see it during winter in America.” He sighed. "So, what's your birth date?" Jason queried.
“20 March,” came a tiny voice.
“That makes you part of the Pisces constellation, but you’ll be part of the least bright star in that constellation!”
Jung Hwan looked at Jason quizzically.
“Your birth date is the last day of the horoscope Pisces.” He answered his thoughts.
“Oh,” he replied.
They spent the night chatting merrily about the different stars, bathing in the moonlight.
“I really like the night sky…”
