Personality: 

              Lee Jaeyoon is a very open-minded person. She always looks at every side to every argument, and she is always willing to try new things and experience different cultures. She's not afraid to try something out or change things up a bit, which has lead her to take some choices that some have varied opinions on, such as getting her tattoos. She always knew there were people who wouldn't approve of what she did to her body, but being the type of girl she is, she would never stand up to people. Jaeyoon is very reserved too. Whilst she may not necessarily be quiet, she doesn't like to tell people about what goes on at home. She's afraid of being judged by others, and often finds herself being quite enigmatic and distant to others who try to get close to her in that way. Despite that, she's still a bright and bubbly girl who is always up for doing something fun and exciting if she can, and knows when enough is enough, and how to behave modestly. Jaeyoon is very intelligent and good at what she does, that being singing and dancing, and is a very passionate person. She is the type of girl, being a perfectionist that will do everything she can possibly do to make sure things are perfect, which sometimes comes as a real struggle of patience for her, but she'll get there eventually. Even though Jaeyoon cannot be a completely truthful person to even her friends, she's one of the most trustworthy people out there. Tell her any secret and it will never leave her, ever.                Overall, Jaeyoon's personality is a muddle of things. Background: 

             Jaeyoon was born to Jaemin and Hyunjin Lee, a couple who, once over, loved each other more than anything in the world. Jaeyoon was born as a twin and it the 17 minutes older than her sister Lee Jaehyun. The two were born in a hospital in London, as Jaemin and Hyunjin were both Korean and moved there for educational purposes many years ago. Jaeyoon and Jaehyun grew up together in a peaceful area, where nothing ever seemed to go wrong, until they started school together.  Jaeyoon was always the fashion-forward one, which left Jaehyun to get picked on by others, though back then, Jaeyoon had more of a backbone, and always stood up for her sister, but it always brought pain. This is what caused Jaeyoon's lack of a backbone now. She always related having the strength to do something with getting hurt, so she couldn't continue. One day they were walking to the bus stop to go home and one of the more hateful bullies came along and started shoving Jaehyun, so hard she fell into the road and was hit by an oncoming truck at full speed. She passed on two days after. To make matters worse, their father Hyunjin had been caught cheating and had walked out on them. After this, Jaeyoon and Jaemin moved to Seoul in order to find peace. They stayed with Jaemin’s parents, who were devastated over Jaehyun. They lived a happy enough life there as they tried to move on from it all, and Jaeyoon attended school in Seoul, where she met her best friend, Bae Suji, or Suzy as she went by. The two hit it off quite well, and were practically inseparable, but Jaeyoon never told Suji anything about what happened with her sister or her father. Suji visited her house many times, and became well acquainted with Jaemin and her grandparents, and was eventually a welcomed guest in the Lee household. Jaeyoon felt quite happy about things now. She had a new best friend; she had her mother and her grandparents, and a roof over her head. Things seemed to be looking up for the Lee's.

Just when things looked the best for the Lee's, Jaemin began to fall ill. Knowing how happy Jaeyoon was with her new life, she tried as best as she could to keep it from her. Jaemin battled with Lung Cancer for five whole months, trying to hold on and keep fighting for Jaeyoon's sake. Sadly however, she passed away after those five months and lost the battle. Jaeyoon only found out through a letter, which she barely managed to read without ruining with her tears. It took Jaeyoon a while to recover from the loss, but her grandparents helped her through it, and thinking it might help, bought her a puppy. It was a chow chow puppy, and Jaeyoon named him Bae. For the next few years of her life, Jaeyoon lived with her grandparents in Seoul. Throughout her life, she had constantly practiced singing and dancing. Jaemin had loved to hear her sing, so she would always sing lullabies for her mother. She auditioned for SM Entertainment with an average hope, unsure whether such a high end company would take her, but she kept up hope. Whilst she was waiting to hear from SM, she had her tattoos done. The one on her wrist was for her mother, to 'believe' that she was at peace now, and that she was happy. Suji found out about everything, and remains as the only person who knows every little thing about Jaeyoon and what happened in her life, but then she was signed with JYP Entertainment before Jaeyoon auditioned for SM, so their time to see each other became limited, but Suji was able to pull out between a few schedules to meet her best friend. Once Jaeyoon was accepted, that time shortened still, but Jaeyoon was just pleased that something good had finally come around. Once she was 18, she moved out with Bae, bought a flat in Busan, and pursued a life of her own.

Family: Father | Lee Hyunjin | 49 | CEO | Insensitive, alcoholic, rude, spontaneous, untrustworthy | Their relationship was never good. He wasn't the nicest father to Jaeyoon or Jaehyun, and when he walked out on them that drew the line. When he was still in Jaeyoon's life, he never did much to be a father. He never read to her as a child because he and Jaemin were both still quite young. Jaeyoon was a little happy after he left.

But Suzy still cares enough to drop a phonecall to Jaeyoon's cell phone every chance she gets to see how her best friend in the whole world is coping without her amazingness.

Friends: Kim Joonmyun | 21 | EXO-K | They met when she became a trainee at SM Ent. | Smart, mature, friendly, intelligent, kind | This is a simple relationship that was formed after Jaeyoon became a trainee for SM Entertainment. When the EXO boys came to visit, Suho and Jaeyoon chatted for a while and exchanged numbers as friends. Suho will never be as close to Jaeyoon as Suzy, but he's close enough to treat her like a little sister. He intends to become better friends with her so he can be there for her, like a real big brother would be.

 

Love Interest: Lee Taemin | 19 | SHINee | They met briefly after Jaeyoon became a trainee, similarly to Suho, except she didn't get to speak to Taemin as much. She fell in love with him long ago, and has always been a huge fan of SHINee. She hopes that since she's debuting, they will get more time to be together. | Crush | Taemin is a very sweet, but quiet guy. He's coming out of his 'shell' bit by bit and is very kind and polite to everyone, when he wants to be. He has noticed Jaeyoon around, but they haven't had much time to get along yet. Taemin is the type that will get along with someone in nearly any situation, and he does have a mature side to himself, which is considered to be quite attractive. | Their relationship isn't as good as Jaeyoon would like it to be just yet. She has seen Taemin around a lot more than he has seen her, and she, despite how shy she is towards him, intends to make it so they meet each other properly and become at least friends to begin with.

How did you get into SM?: Jaeyoon auditioned for SM Entertainment when she was able to have the chance, to pursue her dreams. She was accepted within weeks of auditioning and has been kept as a trainee under SM for some time. 
Trainee Experience: Jaeyoon wasn't popular as a trainee, but nobody bullied her. Everyone was kind to her, particularly the EXO boys given the fact they only debuted not too long ago themselves, and she befriended Suho pretty early on.
