Shy. Even when she wants to go over and introduce herself, she doesn’t because she feels extremely nervous when she has to initiate a conversation. She’s terrible at making conversation, so even when a stranger is approaching her, she tends to try to slip away. Her worst fear is awkward silences. Even when fans approach her, she gets very nervous. She has a cute sense of humor, but she is terrible at telling jokes. In general, nervous to perform and very aware of the many eyes watching her. Though, of course, once she begins to perform, it gets much better. ^^

Girly. She loves cute things. Once she sees a stuffed animal she wants, nothing can separate them. She loves fangirling. She likes to look up her biases on the Internet (as we all do) and just fangirl at their pictures… She loves fashion. She loves to shop like a maniac and dress up and do make up and hair. She also loves to laugh with and tease people she is close to. Very bubbly once you get to know her.

Emotional. She cries extremely easily when it comes to things like music and dramas. She’s also the first person to laugh at jokes, no matter how lame they are. Although she does get rather defensive when someone cracks a joke about her or a person that she personally knows. In that way, she is quite sensitive. When something bad happens to her, she doesn’t cry easily, but she does get frustrated easily and often acts without thinking. She also gets very emotional when it gets to relationships; she tends to overanalyze everything the other person says. But because she is emotional, she is a very caring and understanding person. These emotions also attribute to her singing; singing is her outlet for how intently she feels the emotions around her.

Responsible, but whiny. Once she knows she has to do something, she will absolutely finish it. She’ll think about it 24-7, without rest until it is done. She has the ability to focus, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t complain about it. She’ll do it, of course, but not without 50 complaints about how ridiculous or tiring it is. It can get annoying.

Secret Adrenaline Junkie. With how shy and emotional she is, you would think she would hate anything adrenaline-producing. But she loves to do it. She loves to sneak out at night to buy snacks and she loves to go to amusement parks. She also loves to sit on the roofs of tall buildings at night; she loves the adrenaline of the heights. Finally, this adrenaline is the thing that lets her break her shell and be a fantastic performer. The pressure she feels often adds to her performance. As a performer, this is her saving grace.

Family Background:

Hae Jin was born in Busan, South Korea to her parents and an older brother. Her father is a marketing agent for large companies, thus he is often required to move. Hae Jin’s parents were never very happy with their lives. Her father loved to travel, but hated being responsible for constantly moving his family around. Hae Jin’s mother was someone who physically couldn’t handle stress and the couple divorced when Hae Jin was living in France. Her mother took Hae Jin to Seoul in South Korea to restart her life, and her father took her brother to New York. Hae Jin was enrolled into an art school, because that was what she had studied the most in France. Hae Jin had always had an interest in music, since she was extremely young. This is probably because her mother was a cellist and pianist.

At age 14, Hae Jin self-entered a National Poetry Contest that was being advertised at her school and won. From there, Hae Jin begged her mother to let her pursue a life on a musician and idol. Her mother, understanding what it means to love music, allowed her to being taking formal lessons and such at age 14 and a half. Her lessons ranged from vocal lessons to dance to guitar to acting.

Her mother still lives in Seoul and she doesn’t know where her brother and father are.

Father: Kim Choi Suk: 48: Marketing Agent: Extremely dedicated to his job. Loves to live life so that he always experiences new things. Exciting, but not very stable.

Mother: Kim Hae Sun: 46: Professional Cellist/Pianist: Extremely responsible. Quiet, but a strong-willed and independent woman.

How you Were Discovered:

Hae Jin initially debuted as an actress in Love in G Major with Bi Rain and CN Blue’s Yonghwa under Woolim Entertainment’s Company. From there, she auditioned and was selected to participate in the variety show Immortal Song 2. After 3 consecutive wins on the show, she was scouted by SM Company, auditioned, placed 6^th out of 2,5000 applicants, and transferred to begin her music career.

Love Interest: Myungsoo, 21, Infinite Member

His Personality: Cold ice prince, and very suave about everything. The kind of guy who pretends to hate you clinging onto him or pretends to forget your birthday, but then secretly smiles to himself or does everything he can to make it a special event. Doesn’t use aegyo very much, but still warm and cute when he wants to be. His ability to laugh at himself and move on with his life, plus his overwhelming charisma is attractive to Ha Jin. Never superficial like most idols. Overprotective and very perceptive. Loves to be a slight rebel sometimes. For example, (sometimes when he misses seeing her), he likes to come and steal Hae Jin from work just to take her shopping or somewhere fun even though they both have practice everyday!)

How You Two Met: Had to model together and Hae Jin was their makeup artist. Originally, Hae Jin likes Myungsoo and tells him shyly, but he brushes her off because he’s so tired of girls just asking him for dates. Later, though, I wish he would like her back just as she decides to give up on him. JHae Jin was also a trainee at Woolim, although Myungsoo didn’t really notive.

Back-Up Love Interest: Sunggyu from Infinite.

His Personality: Extremely gentle, understanding, and kind. Sunggyu reminds her of her brother, except, of course, the feeling is more romantic. He will drop everything for his friends and family, so extremely loyal. Although he can get a little sensitive and uptight, he is ultimately very romantic and sweet.
