Personality: Jaesun is rebellious, adorable, and overflowing with unintended aegyo. Seriously, he does aegyo without even knowing. He often finds it annoying when people call him cute or adorable and always tries to block out those words whenever he hears them. He tries to act more mature but the bunny plushhe keeps in his backpack doesn’t help at all. Whenever he’s scared or happy, he’ll always cuddle with Chu (the bunny) and will whisper all his secrets to him. Even though he’s 16, if you take Chu away, Jaesun will act like an elementary school student and whine and make a fuss and cry. Chu was given to him when he was a little boy as a remembrance of his grandmother and is very attached to him. Jaesun never cries genuine tears, they’ll always be fake to see people’s reactions. That’s one way he’ll get what he wants. It’s clear to every Shawol Jaesun has ‘Onew condition’ or severe clumsiness. He is always tripping over his own two feet or bumping into the wall that ‘magically appeared out of nowhere.’

Being 16, he’s at the age where he’ll be really rebellious and not listen to anything anyone tells him. He’s a fighter of boredom, and will do anything to cure it, whether it’s pulling pranks or running up and down the stairs. Whenever he does pranks, people would call him mischievous, which he is and he acknowledges it. His blood type is type O, so he’ll take whatever people say seriously, even if they were just joking. Because of that, he doesn’t take criticism very well but that’s something he’s trying to improve in. He’ll often brood over it for 20 minutes at the most and go back to practicing. Jaesun is the type of person to strive to be the best at everything whether it is academically, athletically, or musically. Some people call him a nerd because when he’s having conversations with people, he’ll often find some way to relate the topic to something educational. Although he’s considered perfect in some people’s eyes, Jaesun can’t help but compare himself to other people. He always thinks of the negatives about himself and keeps up the cute image so he’ll have something positive to think about.

Jaesun has a tendency to get sick easily due to his weak immune system and asthma but he makes sure not to push himself very far. It’s usually not very serious, sometimes it’ll just be a cough and runny nose but other times if he gets overworked, he’ll collapse with a high fever. When he has an asthma attack, he won’t be able to breathe for 2-3 minutes and will just sit there, clutching onto Chu and taking deep breathes. He’ll be very quiet and awkward when he’s around new people or people he’s not very comfortable around. Meeting new people isn’t something he likes to do and when he absolutely has to talk to new people, he’ll start by introducing his bunny plush. That’ll always be the highlight of the conversation. Jaesun isn’t the best cook around and one time, he almost burned down a whole kitchen. At home, Jaesun isn’t allowed in the kitchen anymore without anyone watching him. He claims the kitchen hates him. He has a really good eye for fashion and likes dressing people up. When he used to live with his sisters, they would usually take him shopping and dress him up in girl’s clothes, so he’s used to cross dressing. One time while he was with his sisters, they dared him to walk around town all day dressed as a girl and dozens of guys asked him out on a date but his response was simply, “I have a boyfriend.”

 

History:  Jaesun auditioned for SM Entertainment to make a name for himself but 4 months into being an SM trainee, he got transferred to YG. He made cameo appearances in several music videos and appeared in many TV commercials. Before he got into SM, Jaesun was taking piano lessons from Lee Ruma (Yiruma). Yiruma and Jaesun were really close before they both became famous. Jaesun is still in high school, and currently ranked number three in the whole school. Jessica, Krystal, and Jaesun come from a really well off family. They were all born in America but moved back to South Korea to pursue music careers. Jaesun’s parents didn’t support Jaesun in becoming an idol because they knew once he became one, he wouldn’t be able to have any privacy like Jessica and Krystal. So Jaesun auditioned for SM behind their back to make a name for himself instead of being known as Jessica and Krystal’s little brother. But eventually, his parents found out and transferred him into YG so he won’t be grouped with his sisters.

What is your rapping like? Jaesun’s raps are good but could be better. He never seems to put enough charisma into them but he claims it’s just because he isn’t a ‘charismatic’ guy. Because that’s what he’s lacking the most, Jaesun is always practicing his rapping, getting help from his sunbaes so he could become the best.

What is your singing like? Jaesun’s velvety voice isn’t as deep as other vocalists’ so he prefers not to sing low notes. His specialty is singing long notes because of his ability to hold his breath for more than a minute. When he was younger, Jaesun would always imitate the way his sisters sang so he’s more accustomed to singing high notes.

What is your dancing like? Jaesun usually picks up on dances pretty quickly and sometimes makes up his own choreo. But he’d rather prefer to tut because “it’s like geometry with your hands!” He enjoys dancing to girl group songs since they’re easier to learn but boy group dances make him look more ‘manlier.'
