se ryung started dancing at the age of 7. but unlike most kids who liked ballet or hip hop or even ballroom dancing, se ryung did traditional korean dances. her mother brought her to a traditional dance performance. she found the moves and stories fascinating and was constantly entranced so her mother decided to let her pursue it despite her young age. the more se ryung got into this genre, the more she fell in love.

se ryung and seungcheol's first meeting was a few weeks before the university's 50th anniversary. because it was a big event, the university decided to have various performances to commemorate it. se ryung was chosen to do a traditional dance and their art faculty advisors decided to make the performance even more special. she was to do a traditional dance with modern music. so they were paired together. seungcheol was in charge of the music.
se ryung wasn't entirely too happy about it. to her, traditonal korean dancing isn't just art or culture, it's a way of life and she basically felt offended that she had to perform with modern music. sure, the times now are modern and people like fusion but it just isn't her style. then seungcheol got offended that she didn't want to work with him. but at this point, they haven't actually met each other officially or face to face. all the complaints were relayed through their advisors.
seungcheol decided to directly confront se ryung and ask her what her problem actually was. he walked throughout the dance building, searching for her practice room. finally, he heard a faint traditional music song and walked towards that room. slowly opening the door, he sees a girl dancing as if she was floating. at that moment, he realised how beautiful she looked. seungcheol stood there, staring at her. se ryung realised someone was at the door, stopped, turned around and stared back.

se ryung doesn't have a lot of habits but does have a few. when she sleeps, she has a minimum of three pillows because she likes to hug things when sleeping. another is that she stares a person down when she is unhappy or wants to argue. se ryung also fidgets with her fingers when she feels awkward.
