sharkboy — because of his praiseworthy adeptness in the water and amazing record for his age, seokbin takes pride in being called sharkboy by the locals.

like most athletes do, seokbin takes great pride in his sport, especially since he's the local phelps. he tends to show off but he doesn't disappoint either. he knows his skills in the water are unparalleled and he uses that to an advantage, either when chatting up a girl or just intimidating another guy. his talent in the pool has given him enough confidence to become an amiable social bumblebee.
despite being a little cocky, seokbin can be quite insecure. sure, he's daegu swim club's best bet however, constant doubt of his skills plague him whenever he steps on the old diving blocks. will he be able to top his best record? has he already reached his peak? because he's doing so well, will everything go downhill after?
because of his uncertainties, seokbin remains to be hardworking and commendably diligent when it comes to his training. not once has he complained to his coach despite the lulling ache in his right shoulder, or the tightening pang in his chest and his shortness of breath, or the awfully painful cramp in his left hamstring.

much like how he spent his last two summers, seokbin serves as daegu public pool's lifeguard. only this year, he isn't so lucky with his shift's time slot. the eighteen-year-old is on duty at 6 until 10 in the morning — the ungodly hours where the sun is angrily glaring down on earth that only children can endure such heat. and seokbin hates children.
the only silver lining in this direful predicament is 17-year-old kim sohyun who, coincidentally, babysits her cousins — taerin and taeoh at these hours as they enroll in daegu swim club's summer swimming lessons.
seokbin almost seems pleased with himself and has accepted such nasty job as long as he gets to see the doe-eyed sohyun. except, sohyun doesn't look as amused as seokbin. despite his charming smile, gorgeous body, and unsurpassable skills, sohyun isn't sweeped off her feet like most other girls usually would be.
and thus ensued seokbin's personal challenge to capture sohyun's heart over the summer.

APPEARANCE :
- standing at an astounding 188cm, seokbin turns heads as he saunters through the familiar streets of his suburb which turn automatically into runways the instant he sets foot on the cement.
- it is a passing joke among his peers that a pilot can land a plane on his shoulders. the beauty of the wide and broad lateral masterpiece where his arms and trunk meet through the network of bones and joints can be attributed to years and years of training in the pool, on top of the atrocious hours he spends working out daily.
- his shoulder-to-waist ratio is just ridiculous. in contrast to his broad shoulders, his waist is hilariously slim.
- being a swimmer requires seokbin to be under the sun for long intervals of time. instead of getting tanned, however, his pale skin remains unstained and unburnt, save for the occasional pink flushes on his cheeks and nose but even that fades rather quickly.
- his body might seem like it can dethrone adonis' perfectly sculpted one yet seokbin cannot escape the challenge that every swimmer cannot swim past: the horrible stench of chlorine. like every swimmer, seokbin is constantly plagued by the trouble of getting rid of the pungent reek of the formula. eventually, he just learned to live with it. at least he doesn't have foul body odor.
- when on duty, seokbin has no choice but to wear his designated lifeguard uniform: a red pair of speedo jammers that are way too fit for his liking. besides the red whistle hanging on a string and a pair of goggles around his neck as his primary accessories, he wears nothing more. he doesn't mind his near-ness (and neither do the ladies).
- when not on duty, seokbin just settles to wear what's not in his laundry. he usually sports a plain shirt and a comfortable pair of shorts. seokbin isn't really one to dwell on his daily outfits. perhaps this is why he is much better off without clothes.
- when he really doesn't need to, he disregards wearing a shirt altogether.

- kim jisoo — jisoo [ or soolphin ] has always been his best friend for as long as he can remember. he is the closest thing he has to a sibling. neither can be seen without the other; they're practically inseparable. from riding their first bikes and getting injured together to learning their swimming together to getting circumsized together, seokbin and jisoo are each other's plus one to almost everything. and while both are strikingly handsome, both are amazingly stupid as well. their crazy antics always gets them in trouble but it's not like it's a big deal for both goons. as long as they're in trouble together, then everything's a-ok.
- park byeongseop — coach park has served as daegu swim club's head trainor for twenty years and seokbin's advisor for life. he is responsible for all of seokbin's success and has pushed the younger to his limits, training him to exceed expectations. coach park's faith has given the young seokbin inspiration to become the best he can be. seokbin looks up to the fifty-year-old coach as a second father after his biological one died when he was twelve.
