She stood by the doorframe – leaning against it, there were few boxes right in front of her feet but her eyes remained on the single movement of a body – working diligently as he taped the boxes to secure it. Her hair was still wet from the morning shower but she couldn’t care less about it as she crossed her arms, her mind thinking of what to say.

“Are you-“

“Nope, stop right there. I’m almost done”

His foolish grin made the fire inside her grew larger as she furrowed her eyebrows and ran her fingers through her half-wet long brown locks. “Does it look like I want to give you a hand?” she said, annoyed.

He didn’t say anything in return, instead – a soft smile appeared on his lips. His eyes adoringly looked at the girl by the door of his apartment. “You know, looking at you makes me want to stay. This can’t do” he shook his head but his smile didn’t falter at all.

“Cheesy, eww”

His laughter rang through the empty apartment as he ushered her to step back in caution as he carried the boxes out and closed the door.
