The past 2 years went by in a flash

Seohyun was now fifteen. And she was beginning to develop some curves in her body. Her omma told her that she’s an early bloomer that’s why at fifteen she has a body of a full grown woman.

“You need to act like a maiden now. And stop following your oppas around from now on.” Her mother instructed her

That one thing that she couldn’t do

“But I’m not following my oppas, it was Yonghwa omma” she whispered while her mom was still lecturing her about the do’s and don’ts

“You know what guys? Now is the time for me to make a move!” she said, excitement in her voice, one afternoon while she was staring at her reflection in the mirror.

They were in her room, supposedly studying. They were talking about something else even though the books were opened in front of them. And who would it be? Yonghwa of course

“What do you mean make a move, Seohyun-ah?” Hyoyeon asked

“Maybe I need to propose to him so that he’d know that I’m dead serious.” She said passionately while standing in front of a full-length mirror

For the past years, she has been giving bold signs to Yonghwa that she likes him but it looks like he was not taking her seriously. He had always treated her with kindness but only in a brotherly way.

Not the way she wanted.

“Are you kidding? Do you want him to laugh at you?” Krystal said aghast, she couldn’t believe she heard from Seohyun “You know what, when it comes to that guy, you’re being a nutjob!”

“Why would he laugh at me? You’d never know, all these time, he was waiting for me to confess my feelings to him. Maybe he was shy. So I’d be the one to initiate the move” she said, imagining the scene, that after she’d propose to Yonghwa, he would hug her tightly and kiss her on her lips passionately

Oh my, delicious!

“That’s why we always saw him with that Jimin? Because he was waiting patiently for you?” Hyoyeon said with eyebrow raised

Her Kwangsoo oppa and Yonghwa graduated together. And now after college, she saw different girls with him. Different girl every week. She could not say that he knew them for work because like her Kwangsoo oppa, they were taking a rest before applying for a job.

But these past few weeks, Jimin was the one tailing him. She still remembered the time he introduced Jimin to her. She treated her colder than ice, Jimin caught on, so she got the same treatment from her too.

She turned her attention to Hyoyeon “Yah, maybe guys are like that. They’d go for a couple of flings before they go into a serious relationship.” She justified basing on what she saw with her Kwangsoo and Jonghyun oppa

“You mean, Jimin and the other girls were the flings and you’re the serious relationship that’s still coming?” Krystal confirmed her logic

“Right!” she exclaimed, wiggling like a manic

“Aigoo, Seohyun-ah, you know that you’re very pretty. Some even thought that you’re eighteen instead of just fifteen because you’re so… uh, well-developed already. Why are you going gaga over that long time crush of yours that’s not giving you the attention you want? There are a lot of guys around, like Jin Woon!” Krystal pertained about the guy they were introduced to, at that soiree they attended.

Jin Woon was sixteen years old and a drummer in a band

“I don’t like him. He’s childish” she complained frowning

He has been calling her up after the soiree. He even waited for her at the gate after school hours were over.

“Excuse me, he’s no more childish than you are. Besides, he’s a cutie and only a year older than you. Unlike your Yonghwa, he’s sooo old for you” Hyoyeon said

“I don’t have any other choice. My heart belongs to Yonghwa oppa and no one else” she answered and sighed

“Suit yourself” Krystal said shaking her head

Seohyun decided to go on a tour around the village with her mountain bike after her friends left. It was a wonderful Saturday afternoon, and a nice weather for biking. Besides, she also needed time to think.

She has decided after a few rounds around their subdivision. She would tell Yonghwa that she loves him

I won’t lose anything. He could have told me to stop following him around. And he can’t deny that I was following him around because I like him, of course he’d know. It’s obvious even to me.

“Annyeong Seohyun-ah!” a loud voice said

Because she was surprised at Yonghwa’s presence in front of her, she hurriedly hit the break and fell down.

“Ouch!” she landed on her right side, she felt the pain on her right leg

“Seohyun-ah, are you okay?” he said while approaching her

He assessed her. Very gently, he touched her right leg. And she moaned in pain.

“You’re hurt. Let’s go inside the house, I’d give you first aid.” She tried to stand but he stopped her. without saying anything, he carried her. Like a groom crying his bride for the first time. “Put your arms around my neck. So you wouldn’t fall” he told her, almost making her faint

“Oppa, I have to tell you something. I…” this is her chance to say what she wanted to say. That’s why despite the pain she’s experiencing, she tried to open the topic. It’s the perfect opportunity and the perfect setting.

“Hush… stop talking first. First aid is more important. There’s plenty of time to talk later” he said.

He stared at her. After a little while, he sighed and shook his head

“Yonghwa oppa…” she tried again

“Shhh”

She stayed quiet. And just like her knight in shining armor, he carried her off to the castle, or popularly known as the Seo’s residence

Her mom did not allow her to go out for a week after that accident. Making her plan of confessing move to later

Finally, after her limping was gone and Yonghwa was at their house, she looked for him. The maid told her that he was at the garage with her Kwangsoo oppa helping him fix their car.

She saw him looking something under the hood of the car.

“Oppa annyeong” she greeted her like usual

“Omo, Seohyun-ah. Your foot’s fine?” she heard concern on his voice

“Of course. Where’s Kwangsoo oppa?” her brother was nowhere in sight. A good sign. She thought.

“He went out. Juri asked him to fetch her at the campus” he informed

Her Jonghyun oppa and Minhyuk are out taking their respective guitar and drum lessons. Her mom is not someone to go inside their garage. And her dad would be home late, it’s Friday night. “This is my chance” she whispered
