Shadow
Back to You
That was the time her brothers called her ‘shadow’. He followed Yonghwa anywhere possible, even at the basketball court. She would sit at the bench staring at Yonghwa, not caring about the raise of the sun.
“Yonghwa-yah, you brought your shadow again?” one of his playmates that afternoon
Her forehead creased. She could hear what Jungshin said from where she’s sitting, their neighbor and one of her Jonghyun oppa’s friend.
“You should put a chain and a collar, to prevent people from thinking she’s strayed.” A person she does not know added
They must have been trying to let her hear their taunts. But she does not care. Their opinion does not matter to her. All that matter is for her to see Yonghwa’s face.
At that moment, Yonghwa turned to look at her. She immediately fluttered her eyes and smiled sweetly at him despite the fact that she’s already soaked with her own sweat and is feeling sticky.
He shook his head
“Annyeong Yonghwa oppa!” she called with excitement while waiving her hand. He smiled at her. But she noticed his smile was a bit strained though. And he immediately shifted his attention to the game
“You know what, you’re still lucky, Yonghwa. She’s a beauty. Just a bit childish but it’s obvious to everyone that she’s a looker. A few more years and… Wow!” Jungshin said
She smiled at what she heard. Go on, build me up please.
“Yah, the reason why she’s childish is because she’s a child! To even think about her in that way…” Yonghwa said a bit irritated
She frowned
“She’s what? Thirteen or fourteen? Pretty little thing” Jong Hoon stated, one of their neighbors “But just be careful. She’s a minor. You’d end up in a gas chamber if not. Or maybe at the Intensive Care Unit after her brothers are done with you.” He added and let out a laugh
“What Intensive Care Unit? He’d go straight to a Funeral parlor if ever. Don’t underestimate Kwangsoo Hyung and his little brothers.” Jungshin chimed in, laughing out loud

Seohyun did not stop there, she asked her mom to teach her how to bake. As the saying goes, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. But the thing is, she never learned the art of baking and not because she did not exert efforts, she did, it’s just that, baking does not like her.
She really does not have the talent in cooking. In the end, she just asked her mom or their maid to bake some for her.
One afternoon, she was carrying a box of freshly baked cookies of her mother and was about to cross the street to Yonghwa’s house when a car stopped in front of her.
The driver rolled down the windows and called her “Excuse me, can I ask for some directions? I think I’m lost”
She approached the car and saw a girl sitting in front of the wheel. She smiled “Sure”
“I’m looking for number 22 Goguma Street, the Jung residence. Do you know them? Or do you know Jung Yonghwa? I’m a bit confused about the house numbering at this village” the girl said as she studied the piece of paper in her hand “The address must be wrong” she heard her whisper
Yonghwa? Why was she looking for Yonghwa? Her mood suddenly changes. She looked at the girl’s face. She’s beautiful and y.
“Do you know where it is?” she asked her again.
Unconsciously, she glanced at Yonghwa’s house across the street but she tried to hide it.
It’s good that Jung’s residence didn’t have a number on their gate. She thought
“Hmm, I don’t know any Jung on this street. You must have the wrong address, Goguma street is only until 21.” She crossed her fingers at the back for telling a white lie
