Chapter 4
The Lollipop Guild
Someone is shaking me into consciousness, or at least is trying to. I swat him away and turn over so that my back is facing him.
“Hey, get up!” He whines, “ I don’t even know why I’m doing this! I don’t even know who you are!”
“Huh?” I say in confusion, turning around to look at him.
He has jet black hair that hung in his baby face. He looks like he could be around twelve.
“Well, I don’t know who you are either.” I tell him, pushing myself into sitting position. My muscles ache from having to sleep on the couch.
“Jungkook.” He says.
“I’m Nicole.” I tell him, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
“But this note says that your name is Nix.” He says in confusion, holding up a red sticky note.
I snatch it out of his hand.
“I had to leave early for work, sorry. Jungkook, take care of Nix for me okay?”
That’s odd. I don’t remember hearing J-Hope writing anything.
“Why are you here?” He asks, sitting beside me.
“I was having some problems at home so Namjoon let me stay here.” I sigh, becoming tired of telling everyone this.
“Well, this isn’t Namjoon’s apartment, is it?” He challenges.
“Well, V knows I’m here.” I explain to him, “How old are you anyway?”
“17.”
“Did you just turn 17?” I ask him, wondering if he is older than me.
“My birthday is in September. When’s yours?” He asks, rocking back and forth slightly.
“In April,” I tell him, “I’m older than you.”
“Okay, noona.” He says, making me look up at him in shock
“You don’t have to call me noona! We’re born in the same year.” I insist, flustered.
“Suga says I should call any girl who is even slightly older than me noona.” He explains.
I notice for the first time how nice his clothes are. They look brand new. He’s the last person I’d expect to hang out with someone like Suga. He looks like the kind of kid who’s lived a pretty easy life.
“So, how did you become friends with them anyways?” I ask him.
“Well, my parents were pressuring me to do all of this stuff in school and it was stressing me out a lot. One day I had this huge fight with my parents, so I took off.” He begins explaining. “I went to this underground club where I met V. He offered me a place to stay while I worked things out with my parents. We’ve been friends ever since.”
“He sounds like a really nice guy.” I say, feeling bad for judging Jungkook so quickly before.
“You should know that already, though. You’ve met him right?” He asks, looking a little confused.
“Well, not exactly.” I admit, blushing a little bit.
“Wait, so you stayed at his house, but you’ve never even met him?” Jungkook asks, a look of shock on his face.
“Well, Namjoon was the one who wouldn’t let me go home and when I came over V wasn’t here.” I explain.
“Then how do you even know who he is?!” Jungkook asks.
“He’s my neighbor.” I tell him, studying the carpet.
“This is confusing. Do you know the rest of the guys?” He asks, still looking a little shocked.
“I know Namjoon, Suga, and J-Hope.” I tell him, “Are there others?”
“Well, you haven’t met Jimin and Jin yet.” He says, “Does V know who you are?”
“Yes.” I assure him, yawning as I lean back into the couch.
Why does he keep asking so many questions? It’s non-stop.
“Noona, do you wanna go get breakfast with me?” He asks suddenly.
A/N Sorry this chapter is so short! It's really just a filler chapter to explain Jungkook a little.Next chapter will be longer!
