No One LIke You

Who's That? - Sunggyu

Ash colored clouds covered the sky the next morning, the humid, muggy air surrounded you as you knew the all too familiar smell of rain from the night before. Picking yourself up off of the bed, you trudged into the shower to face another day at work.

“Hey is everything okay?“ Spencer tapped your shoulder for the fifth time that day.

“Not really, but we should work on the project anyways” You shuffled your papers in your hands as you tried to distract yourself from loosing the single, most important thing to you.

“We don’t have to if you don’t feel up to it, we are really far along. I am sure we can take a break for today” Spencer gently rubbed your shoulder as you lifted your hand and took it off of your shoulder.

“Let’s work on it” You whispered, nodding his head he got right to work as you had spaced out a few more times thinking about Sunggyu and the night beforehand. With the project mostly done, you decided to head home early today from not feeling your best.

“Is your boyfriend picking you up today?” Spencer questioned after you told him you were heading home early.

“No, i am going to walk home today” You replied while packing your things in your backpack.

“Why don’t I take you home, how you aren’t feeling your best. I am sure your boyfriend wouldn’t mind” Spencer offered

Oh he would mind if you brought me home, you couldn’t help but think as you just nodded your head.

Grabbing his jacket, he carefully led you out to his car and opened the door for you, letting you get in, he closed the door then got in behind the wheel.

“Did you want to listen or music or talk…” Spencer offered as you thought about it and sighed loudly. Spencer some light music so the cab of the car wouldn’t feel so quiescent.

Looking out your window, you noticed a few tears rolling down your cheeks as you quickly wiped them away and guided Spencer towards your apartment.

“Thank you for driving me here” You replied once he pulled up in front of the lobby doors.

“You are welcome, if you need anything let me know, I live just a few blocks away so just call or text me” He rested his hand on your seat as he gave you a small yet kind smile, nodding your head you muttered a muffled thank you before stepping out of his car.

Opening the lobby door, you waved him off and then headed up to your secluded apartment to try and file through your feelings hopefully finding a solution on the process.

His eyes coated over with tears as he looked down at the alcoholic drink that sat in front of him, the tips of his fingers followed the grain of the wood at the bar while his eyes slowly swtitched to the phone sitting next to his drink.

Mentally fighting himself, trying to convince himself that you are fine, he fought the urge to call you for the hundredth time that night. Lifting the glass to his lips, he took a sip of the bitter drink before his fingers picked up the phone and called your number, tapping your contact information he saw that he had already called you five times that night. Listening to the tone ring in his ear, his head dropped as he knew that he was going to get your answering machine… again.

Hi this is ______, I can’t come to the phone right now, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  Your cheery voice called over the phone before the beep sounded.

“H-Hey it’s me, I just wanted to hear your voice, I wanted to make sure you are okay…. when you get a chance can you call me? Please?” Pausing for a moment or two he wet his lips, “Thanks _____, talk to you soon”

Pulling the phone from his ear, he ended the call before letting the phone fall against the wooden bar. Sipping some more of his drink, the dim lighting and the laughter or drunks throughout the bar filled the air, turning his head slightly he watched some guys play darts before a woman began to walk over towards him, tapping his shoulder, he dropped his head before turning the other direction to greet the person who caught his attention.

“Hello” She smiled and slid into the seat next to him

“Hi” Sunggyu’s hoarse voice replied softly

“What is a cute guy, like you, doing here?” She turned her body towards him crossing her legs as her already short skirt inched up higher on her long legs.

“Please leave me alone” Sunggyu requested with almost a pleading tone lacing his words.

“You shouldn’t be alone, you know that right?” She cooed trying to convince him that she should stay.

“I asked you to leave me alone” Sunggyu told her a little more firmly turning towards her letting his bloodshot eyes meet hers.

“Have a nice night then” She nodded and bid him, picking up her drink her heels slowly clicked across the floor as Sunggyu’s eyes started to follow her a little.

Adverting his eyes, he ran his fingers through his hair as he couldn’t stop thinking about you. Tears swelled up in his eyes as he slipped some nuts into his mouth.

“She doesn’t want someone to be alone… just like you” Sunggyu whispered to himself as his thoughts were turned fully towards you.

Throughout his stay at the bar, multiple women came up to him and chatted, yet he turned ever single one of them because he found something in every single one of them that reminded him of you. Checking his phone every five minutes, he couldn’t help but ache to see you again.

Standing up, he paid for his drinks and grabbed his jacket and phone before shuffling out of the musty bar scene. Pushing open the heavy doors, fresh, crisp air welcomed him outside, the night was dark yet clear as the moon hung proudly against the ebony sky. Stars twinkled brightly alongside their friends, Sunggyu’s eyes wondered across the galaxies above him for a few minutes before he made his way to his car. Slipping into the drivers seat, he the car, glancing at the digital number, 1:30 am, shifting the car into drive he navigated through the city.

Making a quick pit stop, at one of the only stores that was open in the early morning hours, Sunggyu bought some of your favorite flowers as a peace offering before he started back on his route to your place.

His lights traveled across the several parked cars in the lot, pulling into one of the empty spots, he grabbed the flowers and his phone. Locking his car, he slowly headed up to your place, once he arrived at your door, he realized that he didn’t have any way to get in. Looking around the door frame, he saw a shadow on the top left of the door frame, lifting his hand up, his fingers blindly searched for what was making the shadow.

Feeling something cool, he grasped the little object before pulling it down and looking at it with his eyes. Discovering it was a key, he thought just maybe, it was a key to your place. Grasping the door handle with one hand, he pushed the key into the keyhole with the other. Twisting the key, he heard it unlock as he pulled the key out and twisted the door as it swung open. Returning the key to the top of the door frame, his tired body slipped through the front door’s opening before closing it behind him.

His tired eyes leisurely dropped down to the other pair of shoes by the door, slipping off his street shoes, his socks gently slipped across the wood floor as he made his was further into your place. Gradually moving his eyes from one of your apartment to the other, a smile slowly crept on his face as he saw that nothing had really changed, except for a few pictures that were face down against the shelves. Padding into the living room, he approached the built in shelves, lifting his hand to turned down frames, his fingers slowly grasped the edges and slowly lifted the frame so it stood upright.

The picture of you and him together stared back at him while his fingertips gently glided down over the sleek frame. His worn eyes slowly moved over your happy figure and his, the memories flooding back causing his heart to ache in wishing he could go back to how things were. Moving along the shelves, he set up all of the pictures of you and him that you turned down, taking in each one and reliving the memories that you two had once shared.

A yawn escaped his mouth as the clock read just before 3 am, moseying over to the couch, he placed the freshly bought flowers on the table in front of him as he sat amongst the cushions on your couch. Bringing the flowers back on his lap, his fingertips slowly brushed over the petals of your favorite flowers. Taking in a deep breath, he allowed his eyelids to slide over his chocolate orbs allowing sleep to pull him away from reality.

Chapter 3: Awww I'm glad that they returned to each other (as expected of course)
There is so much love between them and when sunggyu returned to her house my heart fluttered ❤️❤️❤️

Hmmm but my opinion is that she was wrong from the start.. if he was just a coworker she should have made some boundaries cuz each relationship is different.. keeping on texting him while she's with gyu would definitely lead to a misunderstanding.. of course she shouldn't hide that but explain to him that it's just normal ~

Thank u for writing for gyu..I'm waiting for woohyun now haha ❤️❤️

Chapter 3: Aww babe I'm actually quite surprised you chose to do a "multi-chaptered story" outside your one-shots. I saw the Seungri one but I didn't have time to catch up on that yet....

As usual, I loved this story it was so sweet <3
