It is being reported that BTOB member Jung Ilhoon will be making his acting debut through MBCEvery1’s new variety drama titled “Webtoon Hero – Tundra Show” (tentative English title).
On June 24, a broadcast insider revealed to OSEN, “Ilhoon was recently cast as the lead of the drama ‘Webtoon Hero,’ and is set to begin filming soon.”
Despite being busy preparing for his group’s upcoming comeback album, the BTOB member is said to have decided to take up the offer for the drama, as he immediately fell in love with the character.
It is reported that popular webtoon writer known as ‘Kian84’ participated in the drama’s production from the very beginning of its planning stages.
Ilhoon is set to take on the role of the male lead named Sung Min, while ‘Kian84’ will play the character’s older brother, Hee Min.
The plot of “Webtoon Hero” focuses on the story of high school student Sung Min, as well as his father and two brothers.
Previously, it was confirmed that EXID’s Junghwa and actress Lee Si Eon will also be appearing in the drama.
Meanwhile, “Webtoon Hero – Tundra Show” is expected to begin airing this coming July.
