Caught up in the buzz of life

We ended up at opposite ends

Once before we were in each other's arms

But now it is all pretend

I lost track of precious time

You lost track of love

Our differences finally took

What we kept hidden above

Memories gained what was gone

And laughter we shared was trapped

From the days we promised to forever keep

Fell between our laps

Now, there is no more fun and games

And the bond we shared is lost

What's left between our weary lives

Is a stranger who paid the cost.

note: this was written when i was in final year in high school. that was when i was at least 15 years old. thought i might share this.
