The Poet: Ravenous 50 Poems ChallengeQuiet and silent, my heart lay in fear
The slowly beating of another I could hear.
Curiosity and interest got the best of me
A little young baby I could see.
Round pinkish cheeks and tiny little hands
Bright small smile and light brownish tan.
She was the one that made me quake.
I knew she would soon make my whole world shake.
But she grew and grew into this wondrous girl.
With eyebrows arched high that could scare the world.
But, I could see beyond her facade
Was my little sister who was also flawed.
No one could tell when she was scared.
No on could tell that she really cared.
No one could tell her countless pains.
No one but me, her older "Jane".
I smile and cry along with her.
We've been through everything that made a blur.
Amazing how she kept inside
The glorious girl whom I take pride.
The world can be a mighty stranger.
Heartless and cold, it could bring many dangers.
But, for her I would never cast worries
Because she will always have a happy story.
Congratulations my dear little sister
For growing up and causing such a twister.
I will never fail to always say
"I'm proud of you everyday!"
