“NO NO NO NO NO, na-ah! I am not coming!” Joohyun said adamantly to her grinning friend Hyoyeon. They are inside her room chilling, they have all afternoon free, thanks to the faculty’s emergency meeting

With raised eyebrow Hyoyeon replied “Yeah, yeah I heard you. Alright” stifling a laugh

Joohyun gave her the eye and frowned “I told you I’m not going!”

Hyoyeon finally let out the laugh “And yes, I definitely heard you”

Joohyun stomped her feet “But it looks like you don’t believe me!”

“Well, I sort of” Joohyun gave her the evil eye “do” she finally said and smiled giving her the peace sign.

Joohyun went back to the book she was reading then sighed her heart and mind still in collision, suddenly she felt her phone vibrated inside her pocket “OMO!” she said a bit surprised then pressed the answer button

“Who is that?!” Hyoyeon asked her eyes darted from the magazine she was skimming to her friend, curious as to who called, Joohyun signaled her to shush and she shut up

“Annyeonghaseyo Omoni” she answered in a gentle voice fit for a queen that made Hyoyeon’s eyes wide and mouthed “Yonghwa Omma?”

She nodded and in a second, Hyoyeon’s ear is pressed on her phone eavesdropping.

“Neh, neh, Omoni” she answered “I wouldn’t miss it for the world!” she nodded as if Yonghwa’s mother can actually see her. “Ok. See you! Bye” she replied and waited for the other line to turn the call off

Hyoyeon guffawed! She knew it from the one sided conversation she heard “So, you REALLY REALLY ARE NOT COMING HUH” she stressed for more emphasis. And laughed out more.

Joohyun felt her warm face and knew she was beet red. “Tsk!” that was all she can say

“So when did you say was the party?” Hyoyeon asked going back to her comfy bean bag

“Saturday” she squared her shoulders as she absentmindedly brushed her hair

“You mean THIS Saturday?” Hyoyeon’s tone alarmed

“Yes” Joohyun nodded

Hyoyeon take in a sharp breath “Saturday is tomorrow Joohyun-ah” she complained which earned a nonchalant look from Joohyun

“And the theme?” Hyoyeon continued

“Just casual, I think, I think they invited just close friends and family” she replied

“So what are you wearing?” Hyoyeon eyed her
