“I’m sorry for what has happened earlier. Chanyeol-ah” Joohyun said as they head home riding his car. They watched the last full show of the movie they decided to watch, it’s almost midnight now.

She yawned

“It’s cool. You know I’d do anything to help” Chanyeol replied, his eyes still on the road. “Sleepy?” he added

“A bit, but I’m also hungry.” She smiled at him when she saw him glanced her way

“You want to grab some bite before I drop you off?” he asked

“Nah. We’re almost there.. I can drink some warm milk before I sleep” she answered

“Uh… okay” he replied as he stepped on the break

“Here we are” they are now parked outside Seo’s driveway

The headlights caught on a figure sitting on the gutter, which stood up when he saw them arrive

“uhh-oh” Chanyeol said as he recognize the guy and caught Joohyun staring at the him, unable to move

“What is he doing here?” Joohyun said through gritted teeth as soon as she found her voice

“You okay Joohyun-ie?” Chanyeol asked, concerned

“Why shouldn’t I?” she looked at him before sliping out of the car and marched her way to Yonghwa

He followed her close behind but kept mum

“What are you doing here?” she asked with a steely voice

“I….uh… I need to talk to you” Yonghwa started then looked at Chanyeol as if saying he was not invited “Alone” he added

Chanyeol’s arm flew on Joohyun’s shoulder on instinct then pulled her close. He does not like what it sound and he felt a ball of irritation starting to ignite, but he held it in.

Joohyun felt Chanyeol’s grip on her shoulder and felt assured “I’m sorry but we have to go somewhere” she said

Yonghwa’s forehead creased “You just got here and you’re leaving? Again?” he voiced, his eyes boring a hole on Chanyeol’s hand on her shoulder

“Exactly. We…. Decided to park the car here and just walk to the nearby convenient store. We wanted to spend more time together, right Mine?” she nudged the still silent Chanyeol beside her, who was having a stare competition with Yonghwa

Chanyeol looked and smiled at her tenderly as he nodded, easing up his tensed expression

Yonghwa felt like his head started to spin in anger. His fists balled “Can you excuse us for just a minute?” he stared at Chanyeol squarely in the eye

“You can say whatever it is you’re going to say in front of me”
