"Joshua..?" I asked, "Who are you?"

"I told you, " He smiled, "I'm you're guardian angel."

"No.. But who are you.. Really?" I carefully asked

"Not yet." He replied

"Huh?" 

"Not yet. Soon. I'll tell you soon. Just not now." He answered

"Okay.." I replied

And with that, the silence took over once again. The world was so quiet, but my mind filled with questions. 

He said he knew I had hardships. He said he knew about my abandonment. 

I'll be honest. I was scared. I didn't know who he was, or how he knew. I've never seen him once in my life, but it seemed he knew so much about me. As if... He was watching over me..

I looked at him

Are you really an angel? I thought to myself.

How do you want me to trust you.. If you won't tell me anything about yourself?

If you are an angel.. Then.. Why weren't you ever there to save me.. Why now?

Thoughts piled one after another. 

"Ha.." I sighed

"HAHAHA" He laughed

Confused, I asked him, "Why are you laughing?"

He smiled, "You know, you can just ask me yourself. You don't have to keep it to yourself."

Wait. What. 

"D-Did Y-You just.. Read my mind...????" I asked, alarmed

"You really are stupid, huh?" He said, laughing

"I'm so confused." I said, eyes widened, "Can you really hear my thoughts??"

"Nope" He replied

"Joshua!! I'm not kidding!!!!!" I yelled

"Hey, you remembered my name!" He yelled back

"Stop changing the subject!!" I yelled, "Can you really hear my thoughts or what??"

He laughed, "I'm not!! And I can't!! I was just kidding"

Cautiously I asked, "Are you sure?"

Five. I thought to myself

"What number did I just think of?" I asked

"How am I supposed to know??" He said

"One through ten. Go."

"Um... Seven??" He replied

Thank goodness

"Okay." I said

He stared at me, "Was I right??"

I smiled

"What does that mean?"

"I'll keep my silence." I smiled

"Okay! I will too."

We turned our backs against each others

A few minutes passed and nothing was said. 

The forest was absolutely still. 

"Joshua? Are you there..?" I asked

-Nothing-

"Joshua???" I said, turning my back towards him

I turned to see him staring straight at me, "Hi" 

"You scared me! I thought you left!!" I yelled

"I told you, I'll keep by your side. " He said, smiling

"You know," He started, "I haven't laughed like this.. in such a long time."

I smiled, "I.. haven't either.."

"Thanks" We both said, together

We both laughed, "I'm glad I finally get to talk to you. In person." He said

"I am too. You should've came earlier." I said

"I should have.. I'm sorry." He replied

"Why?" I asked, still laughing

"For leaving you alone.. For such, a long time." 

I smiled, "You really are an angel, huh"

"Something like that" He replied, "Something.. like that.."
