Chapter 1

Golden Eyes
One gloomy, dim night. Filled with echoes of gun shots, and storms carrying the humans joyful
laughs, and sounds of water splashing from hitting the wet ground with their heavy boots
chasing after the artful creatures. They were hunting every Fox they had noticed. The humans took
pleasure in splattering their blood all over the forest. It was a gruesome scene that made one shiver
from the sight of it. The watery ground turned to bright red that reflected the hunters smirks.
The trees were dressed in red, and all the flowers had the same crimson color.

There was a Fox named Kitchy, who was coming back from the rivers, with a catch in his mouth brought
to his family. Just as he arrived, the rain shower made the stench of blood rouse to his nose, and thunder
the ground. One look was all it took to fill the little one's eyes with rage. The fish once were
in kitchy's mouth now seasoned with dirt above the ground. Didn't take him long to find his family
members forming a mountain with their dead bodies. The little one started to nod s
with his head searching for response, and biting their tails for reaction. His fur got dyed in red, his
whining ceased from lack of breath. One man glanced at kitchy moving from far, and couldn't help
but feel itchiness to trigger the gun, and shoot one of his legs. The injured one already lost his will from
crying, so much that he fell on the wet ground without any signs of living. Any one could have thought he
was dead, and that made the man walk away with head held high that he left no fox alive. Kitchy was
laying there, facing his family with eyes that lost it's brightness, and a body that was heavy, soaked with water, and a leg with no use of walking on. His vision started to blur, and his eyelid slowly started to close.

At the far north of the forest, there was a river called "Nixie". So clear, it was transparent. You could
see the fish swimming, and filling the river with its colors. The water had glitters, and it was so shiny as if
someone scattered diamonds all over it. It was home of the fairies, who were friends with the creatures
of the forest. They filled the place with their beautiful tones. The birds, the rabbits, the deer. Even
vicious ones like lions, and hyenas would go there to listen to their peaceful melodies. The little ones
could also fix a bird's broken wing, close an open wound, and stop a bleeding. Their healing powers came
from the dust within their golden eyes. One of the fairies named "Diana," was a cute, very playful
fairy. She was very associated with the other animals. She liked to make friends. More over, she was
Kitchy's friend. Diana would wait impatiently for the time he comes, to talk to him, or play, or even just
sneak glances of him.
Kitchy, one night, when he was about to fetch his family's dinner, Diana spotted him searching for
fish in the Nixie. She went to him feeling happy and anxious, wanting to ask a question.
"Coming to get something for your family to eat again?" she asked. Not that she doesn't know the answer.
All she wanted was for him to look at her, and give her the sweet smile she has always liked. As he went back
to his family, she was looking at him go with eyes that said it all. She loved him. Diana's sister "Donnella"
felt it, and she told on her to the fairies' elder "Afreda". It was sinful for fairies to fall in love. At
the same night, Diana was driven far away, and wasn't allowed to seek any fairy for any help needed.
