"It's been some time since I did this- Ugh... I think I'll have to warm up when we get there-"

It's been a long ride and the landscape outside has completely been changed to a picturesque view of a winter-wonderland. Every rooftop was covered in snow and the road was as slippery as they come.

"Hanbin-ah, do you think I have to wear this?" Yunhyung asks, holding up a pair of pink, fluffy earmuffs which he brought as a joke

"Where'd you get this?" Hanbin exploded with laughter "Hyung!!!"

"I'll wear these there! I'll get cold if I don't!"

"Eyy! Hyung~ seriously! You'll embarrass me-"

Winter's in full-swing, it's been a couple of months already since Mix & Match has ended and ever since then, the preparations for their debut has been on full-steam ahead. The break given in time for the Yuletide season was a welcome change of pace for the boys, especially Hanbin who has been burying himself too much in the studio writing and composing possible songs for the group.

"Oh, I almost forgot! Ya, Hanbin-ah, Hayi-ssi will be there too right?"

"Huh?" Hanbin's head quickly turned to face Yunhyung, shifting his attention away from his phone 

"Lee Hayi-ssi! you mentioned earlier that she'll be coming too, right?" Yunhyung says, putting back his pink earmuffs in his bag

"Did I?" Hanbin asks, to which Yunhyung simply replied with a nod, at that moment a kakao message popped onto Hanbin's screen:

Ya, Kim Hanbin-a, you better make sure you're as good as you say you are! 

Hanbin smiles as he read Hayi's message, then looks back at Yunhyung and proudly grins, "She'll be there."

It was a little bit past lunch time when Hanbin and the rest arrived at the ski resort and after a light meal, the boys headed straight to the slopes. Rocking their gears and filled with excitement, the two boys and the rest of their group enjoyed the lower half of the slopes until one of them suggested that they go all the way to the highest one, which they did.

"Ya! Hanbin-a, I thought you were good at this" Yunhyung sneers at Hanbin who was practically glued to him on the lift ride to the top

"I am good at this!" Hanbin retorted with a proud voice, unfitting of his cowardly clasp onto Yunhyung's left arm "I'm just not good with heights... You know that!"

"Alright, alright"

Reaching the top where the air was a bit thinner and colder, the boys were all set out to ski down. They jokingly pushed each other and eventually skied down one by one. Hanbin was a bit nervous but he was pretty sure that he could do it, especially after Yunhyung backed down - he wanted to look cool unlike his hyung.

So he set off, Hanbin raced down the slope at a very high speed and he was so excited, he kept shouting throughout. Everything looked okay until he reached the end and lost balance, face-planting onto the snow. People gathered around him, including some of the hyungs and noonas that they were with, they rushed to him but he sat down quickly and gave them a thumbs-up to say that he was okay. 

"That was awesome!" he said with a goofy smile and a face covered in snow and a collective sigh was heard from the people who crowded him before they all left, seeing he was fine.

"You look so stupid" someone said, Hanbin knew that voice. He knew that voice all too well, he immediately rubs off the snow on his face and sees Hayi in front of him with her cellphone in hand, "Ya, Kim Hanbin-ah, I knew you were just bluffing when you said you were good"

"Excuse you, Lee Hayi-ssi, did you see where I came from? I came from there-" He sasses, pointing at the highest peak of the slope "I just lost my balance a couple of meters from the bottom. I am good!"

"Well, I didn't see it. Tough luck!" she responds with a smug expression as Hanbin tried to look all hurt and sad. They met eyes and bursted out laughing, Hayi helped Hanbin up and were awkward because Hanbin tried to hug her while Hayi just high-fived him. Yunhyung joined them not too long after and they all headed back inside to have some snacks.

Coming back from the snacks bar, with food and drinks in hand - Hanbin eyes flared up seeing his Yunhyung hyung seated so closely to Hayi. He tried his best to squeeze in between them, shutting out their complaints for him to sit somewhere else. 

"Oh... Were you guys talking about Kimbap hyung?" Hanbin says as soon as he settled in and successfully shoved Yunhyung away from Hayi's side
