False Premises
YG Family: B.I. x Lee Hi“Hayi, are you okay?”
“Huh? What?”
One of the CRAZY dancers held Hayi by her shoulders and couched down to her eye-level and asked her, “Lee Hayi-ssi, are you okay? Would you like to stop now?”
“I’m fine, I’m fine. Let’s go on, I’m sorry about that” Hayi said as she snapped back from her daze
“Hmmm… I think we’re done for the night.” The dancer unnie tells her, noticing that Hayi’s mind was off somewhere else “You were already perfect in the last couple of runs. You shouldn’t wear yourself out too much. We’ll just go at it again tomorrow at the sound check, okay?”
“Okay…” Hayi resigned to her unnie who looked her straight in the eyes
“Alrighty then. It’s a wrap. Go home and get a good sleep, Hayi-yang. You shouldn’t worry about anything, you’ll do great”
“Yes, Unnie. Thank you for your hard work today” Hayi said with a bow as the CRAZY dancers got their stuff and headed out.
Left alone inside the practice room and waiting for her manager oppa to arrive, Hayi began tinkering with her phone and somehow ended up opening her Kakao conversation thread with Hanbin.
“Hanbin-ah… Are you really mad?” Hayi sighed as she reads her long, unanswered message to Hanbin which read,
Kim Hanbin, I’m really sorry for what happened yesterday. I’m really, really sorry. I shouldn’t have walked out on you guys like that, I just felt frustrated with myself too. I know you want this performance to be good and that it means a lot for all of you; that’s why I promise to be more helpful this time and practice more. There are a couple of days left before the performance after the Family Concert, let’s do our best ‘til then... I’m sorry.
“Ahh… What do I do? I think he’s really angry” she grunts to herself frustratingly “Why would he not reply back when he already read it? Ahhh… This is so bad.”
In the middle of staring at her empty screen, contemplating whether to message him again to say sorry or not, she receives a message and was so surprised, she almost dropped her phone. She hurriedly checks who it’s from only to be let down when she finds out that it was a message from her Manager Oppa telling her that her car was already outside, waiting.
“Tsk… Oppa, you always have the best timing” she sneers as she grabs her bag and made her way out.
There was no one inside the other practice room and nobody seemed to be around either, but there seemed to be people in one of the rooms on the right just before the cafeteria which made her felt more at ease and less scared.
As she made her way out and got closer to the room though, she heard distinct and familiar voices. Her piqued curiosity had her trying to eavesdrop but she couldn’t really make out who they were so she leaned in a bit closer, with her back against the wall.
“Why are you being so stubborn?!?” the first person said in an annoyed tone “I already told you last time that you’re not allowed to change songs anymore…”
“Change songs?” Hayi repeated to herself “Who is this?”
“But hyung-nim, I can make a whole new track in just a day or two! I already have a couple samples here. If you could only liste-“
“Ya, B.I.! Hanbin-ah!” the other guy’s voice boomed
“Hanbinnie?” Hayi gasps
“I’m sorry” sighs the other guy, breathing out heavily “Hanbin-ah, if it was only up to me, I’d be okay with it but we possibly can’t have you guys change it now with just a few days away from it. We’d need Sajangnim’s approval too. And he’s busy with a lot of things right now including the Family Concert right now... You should be too...”
“But Hyung-nim, if we could just-“
“Look, I have no doubts with your talent to produce music, Kim Hanbin-ssi, but it’s just not possible now. I know you can do well
