Sleep Away
An hour later, Taeyeon was at a park outside of school, in Siwon’s
arms crying her eyes out. She know that it was against school rules to
leave the grounds during school hours and that classes would start
again in about five minutes, but she didn’t seem to care. She had just
lost the woman she loved and the woman who she thought loved her
back...
“M-maybe I was too h-harsh Siwon...” Taeyeon said, her face buried
into the dark haired boy’s chest, her voice still racked with sobs.
Siwon hated this. She knew Krystal would hurt Taeyeon but didn’t say a
damn thing. This was his fault. He let his best friend be manipulated
by that self-centred little...
“No Taeyeon. You did the right thing. Krystal doesn’t deserve you.” He
said, gently cradling the blonde in his arms.
“But I…I made her choose between me and her friends, that’s selfish
isn’t it? W-what if she asked me t-to choose between you and her? I
might have done the same thing...what have I done?”
“I’m telling you, you did the right thing. It’ll be alright Taeyeon, I
promise you...” Siwon said. The blonde musician continued to cry, not
able to say anything more.

Four hours later, Ms Kim was sitting on her couch watching TV,
when the phone rang. The blonde haired mother stood up, and picked up
the receiver.
“Hello?”
“Ms Kim?”
“Krystal? Hi, how are you?”
“I’m okay, I…I just need to speak to Taeyeon. Is she there?”
“No I’m sorry, she’s at Siwon’s house, she just phoned a minute ago
to tell me that.”
“Oh. Okay. Sorry to bother you. Goodbye, Ms Kim.”
“Ur, bye Krystal.”
With that Krystal hung up. Ms Kim then became puzzled. Krystal seemed
so sad and her voice was broken, like she had been crying for a while.
And in her heart, Ms Kim felt it had something to do with Taeyeon…
“I wonder if...something happened between them…”

The next day at school, things were hard for both of them. Krystal would
come to class and sit down, waiting for Taeyeon. When she got there,
Taeyeon would just take a seat and ignore her. All through the class,
Krystal would throw glances in her direction, but the blonde either
didn’t notice or didn’t care, because she never responded. For Taeyeon
it was equally hard. She knew if she looked back at Krystal, she’d break
out into another bout of tears. And she was tired of that for the most
part. Although it did make her feel a little better, she felt so
guilty about dropping her problems on Siwon like that, but he said
that he didn’t mind looking after his best friend.
After the class, Taeyeon left quickly, she was too fearful that Krystal
might try to talk to her. She was right though. Krystal did want to
speak to her, but Taeyeon was too quick. Later on in the day, Taeyeon
went to the library, to get a geography book for the next test that
was coming up. The blonde saw a book that caught her eye on the top of
the geography shelf, and stood on her toes, fumbling to reach it, her
fingertips gently grazing it. A hand then smoothly grabb
