GuiltThis chapter might be a bit confusing, there's a lot of skipping from one person to another and also the tense changes. I've used a line to separate these bits so hopefully it'll make sense!! You've be warned though if it doesn't!!
'Here you go Hoseok, always wear this bracelet!'
'Why?'
'Because Hyung, you see the crystal there? Well, which ever one of us dies first, half his soul will go into the other person's crystal. Then, we'll always be with eachother! Even after death.'
'But Taehyung, what if it's the bad half of our souls. You know that it's split into a good half and a bad half!'
'Well Hyung, nothing can ever be fully bad. So together we'll have to find the good bits that are lost in the bad half.'
I see, okay i'll wear it. But never talk about dying again! I don't want to think about not being with you forever.'
'But with this bracelet, you will be.'
Hoseok woke up, the dream still fresh in his mind. He understood now. The bracelet he'd worn for 11 years did exactly what 9 year old Taehyung said it would. Half of Taehyung's soul must be in the small crystal, but it had escaped and it was obvious where it was now. The half of Taehyung's soul that went into the crystal must have been the bad half and when it escaped it became Tsumi. It explains everything; why Tsumi has Taehyung's voice and body, and who Tsumi is.
'Is the real reason why I can talk to Taehyung because half his soul is still alive?'
'Yes.' Somebody answered from the corner of the dim room. Obviously it was Tsumi. 'If you remove that bracelet, the alive half of Taehyung's soul with die and you'll never be able to speak to him again.'
Hoseok didn't turn around to face Tsumi, he stayed with his back to him. 'Are you human yet?'
'I will be, I just need a little more strength. I can survive outside your shadow and reflection, but I can't leave this house.' Tsumi answered.
