Unpretty Rapstar
Description
Unpretty Rapstar is about Krystal, a 17 year old girl following her dream to be one of the most "sickest" female rapper to hit the streets of Seoul (South Korea). Sadly she has to hide her microphone and instead pose for the camera as a model due to her mother trying to prepare her future as well as trying to marry her off to the next rich bachelor. Instead of shooting for Cover Girl she starts her search for a rap coach, someone to help her way to the top. Then ending up meeting Zico, one of the most skillful and popular rappers in Seoul; but while he's coaching Krystal he ends up learning a thing or two from her. With her friends and family by her side, they go threw crazy and life-changing adventures—from legendary rap battles to harsh discrimination from society. With the help of Zico will Krystal dominate the competition and rise to Hip-Hop stardom or will she be stuck on the front of a magazine with broken dreams?
Quick Side Note: All of the songs except for Zico, P.O., and Kyung are written by me. :)
Foreword
Hey everybody, this is the first story I've done and I'm really excited to hear what you guys think about it. What inspired me to do this story is of course the TV show Unpretty Rapstar, but instead of being a fan I'm actually really disappointed. That's why I wanted to do a story about a girl wanting to be the best female rapper in Seoul and the challenges that helped her along the way. It's not going to be cliche' story about a girly girl wanting to be cool or bad, I tried to make this story not only realistic but relatible. Definitly the story has a hidden messege in it and the messege is that your status, education, nor your looks define who you are and what your limited to do in life.
