14 years. They call me a nerd because I like to study and because I like to express my feelings in words, I had acne and braces. And maybe because I wear those big hipster glasses. I don’t talk much. I’ve never been a talker. I’m more of a listener and when I listen I hear everything. Sometimes I even hear too much and wish that what I heard people say about me was just in my head.

My name is Minah. I am a nerd and nerds get bullied. My bullies don’t just call me names- oh no, they take it to the next level.. even thought I’m a girl, boys seem to enjoy pushing, slapping and spitting on me. Very rude and unnecessary of course. I’ve never done anything to deserve being bullied, just like all other people that get bullied but I guess I’m just an easy target. That’s what makes the bullying exciting. Girls also keep on gossiping about me. And if you ask me, it’s because they’re jealous. I think I’m not that bad looking, if I wouldn’t have had these bad acne scars and terrible skin I would look so great. And those girls know that.

 Every morning I wake up at 6:30AM. My parent already left for work and I won’t see them until late at night. So I wash myself, change into my school uniform and pack stuff. I never was one of those people who had breakfast every morning. To be totally honest, I never had breakfast. Maybe that’s why I’m so skinny..

It’s still dark outside, the wind feels cold against my cheeks, I put my hands inside my pockets. I forgot my scarf once again. I sighted and I could see my breath. I looked down while walking and I listened to the music that comes from my headphones. I liked to listen to this boy group, I wasn’t a big fan really, but what where they called? BTS? I like walking very slow because I know I’m early and because I’m still tired. The beat is soft, it makes me dreamy. 

‘’Yah weirdo’’ I hear someone yell trough my music and I’m sure who’s voice it is. ‘’Namjoon’’ I whisper. I keep walking, hoping they think I didn’t hear them because of my headphones. I hear the footsteps. I hear the laughing. ‘’Aish- what’s her problem? Haven’t your parents learnt you any manners?’’ No, namjoon. You don't have any manners.  I thought.
