Chasing Rainbows
It’s funny how one can stay at the same place even though time has passed, and everything else has faded.
The air in the closed dome is cold, and Hanbin’s voice bounces off the walls of the empty dome from his hands cupped around his mouth.
“Are you there?” He asks, even though the seats are empty and the staff is on break. He calls out to no one in particular, but dig deep and find a name buried in his heart.
They are going to hold a concert for 50,000 people in a matter of hours, and Hanbin owes it all to that one name, though he can’t say for sure if he still wants to be there, if his feet are on that stage by his own will or if it’s just lingering feelings.
(You don’t really forget the feelings tattooed in your heart.)
It’s so funny he can laugh because he’s talking to no one and everything is empty, much like his soul.
He scans his eyes through the arena, and decides to lie on the stage just for the sake of it.
“Do you hear me?” He whispers and looks up at the set lights, wishing they shone brightly like one night did in the eyes of someone he knew.

“What are you trying to do?” Bobby asks.
“Sleep,” Hanbin smiles then, and accepts the hand that Bobby offers to help him up.
“Someone came for you,” there’s a smile in his tone and Hanbin just looks at him, wondering who it is.
“And they’re letting the audience in soon, and that we’re gonna head to make-up sooner,” Bobby puts a hand on Hanbin’s shoulder. “But yes, he came back. He’s here.”
Hanbin’s jaw slacks open, “No way.”
“Yes way,” Bobby pushes Hanbin and the latter runs off, mirthful chuckles echoing in the place and Bobby can only watch him adoringly.
Hanbin feels like he’s been brought back from the dead, chasing not rainbows this time, but his heart, his soul. He feels such a rush in his body as he runs to the dressing room and he doesn’t have the time to collect his breath because he’s turning the doorknob in excitement.
He jerks in surprise when he sees Jinhwan on the other side of the door, about to walk out. It’s as if time stops just for that moment, and Hanbin is happy that he’s here: Jinhwan is here but he looks almost tired. His hair is longer than Hanbin can remember, and his cheekbones are j
