Dear Pen Pal
Description
Candice Young is a small girl living in the States, half Korean and half American. Her father, determined that she would learn her heritage, encouraged her to learn Korean. To help her, he gave her a penpal, the son of a close friend of his. HIs friend had agreed it would help his son learn English as well, and so things went smoothly from there. But when an accident occurs, thing turns upside down for Candice, and she must fight for her life, her freedom, and for her new-found love.

"Daddy..."
"Yes, Candy?"
"What's a pen pal?"
"Well... It's someone you send letters to and they send letters back. That's what I want you to do with the boy I was talking about."
"Ohhh. What's his name?"
"His name is Yoseob. He's six, just like you." Candice smiled at that. She liked the idea of having a friend she could write to all the time.
"I hope this will help you learn their language, and in turn, part of your heritage."
"Daddy?"
"Yes, Candy?"
"What's a heritage?"
"*Sigh*"
