Standing still in the cover of night looking at the river under the moonlight, she feels cold even in her light gray windbreaker with the hood-up, and her gloved hands inside her pockets. She wanted to step out for just a minute. Her manager is in the car with the motor running, and waiting for her. 

'A good hot chicken soup would be good just about right now.' She tries to comfort herself. 'A steaming really hot brewed black coffee.' A wind blows to her right side, and she takes a breath. 

It's this time of the season that she feels so lonely. She remembers him..her first love, but it was a onesided love on her part. 

When she was young she was always teased for the color of her skin. Every word was a stab to her young heart, and it made scares that she carries upto this day. She made up her mind, since she was a kid, that she will make something of herself, and make them feel sorry. 

She is really thankful for the singing talent that she has, but she  always wants to improve it, and become the best one out there. 

She had to work harder than anyone, she had to push herself harder, and
