Dear Giggling Guys,

I automatically assume you are gay. Period.

When I'm reading a story and I suddenly read that a straight male character suddenly giggled, I will close that tab to never view that fanfiction ever again. It makes me feel uncomfortable to actually visualize giggling guys. I'm not hating on gay community as my close gay friend would probably smack my head against the wall ten times if I do. I'm just saying that it is really awkward to read guy giggling as I think doing that will always have 'like a teenage girl' after it. Try reading this:

She smiled at him. This man who made her heart beat again. She playfully slapped his strong arms. Yongguk giggled in return.

Yongguk giggled in return.

Yongguk giggled.

Dude, Yongguk giggled. Do you now imagine how awkward I feel everytime I read a supposed straight male character giggling? But maybe this became my Pet Peeve as I always view male characters as manly man despite of how quiet or happy go lucky type they are. But still, can't find the reason to make cute baby Taemin giggle. Maybe if I know that the character is gay or something. But still, I dana.

My opinion is that giggle is a kind of thing only girls do. Heck, I even cringe when a badass type of girl giggle. So let me rephrase that. Giggling for me is only girly girls or average girls would normally do. For guys? Snicker, chuckle, smirk? Yes.
