Their Light

Until She Came Along

“Baby Good Night” – G-Dragon’s part

(Translation by: [email protected])

Baby good night

Should I draw the image of her sleeping

Don't be shy anymore; You're already my girl

Even if it's not clear it's that way to me

You're more than I deserve

You're perfect; Thank you for being by my side baby, my lady

Know how much I love you beautiful girl

Like a picture of a child to me

And frozen before a shadow

There's nothing I can do

With a shaky voice

With dry lips

(Come a step closer to me and tenderly whisper)

The surrounding firelight dances

I always dream of you

When the darkness of the black night finds us

Those beautiful eyes close and drift off

I sit by your bed

And caress your hair

Looking into your face

I want to convey my love

I wish time would stop like this

You are just so beautiful

Park Bom made her way to the boy’s hostel.  Raising her hand to knock on the door, she was surprised when it was open by a familiar face.

“Noona, what are you doing here so early,” greeted Seungri.  It looks as if he was just getting ready to leave.

“Ah Seungri, I came to see Jiyong, and bring him some food.  Are you on your way out?”

“Aww, food!  That’s not fair noona, you never cook us any food, always for Jiyong hyung only.  If I didn’t have a recording to go to, I would like to try some of the food you cooked.” He pouted.

Bom could only laugh as she replied, “Next time Seungri.  Next time, I promise.  I’ll cook for you all next time.  Do you know if Jiyong is awake yet?  Is it ok if you just let me in?”

“That’s a deal then!  I’ll be waiting for your food, noona!  Don’t forget about the rest of us BigBang.  And no, I don’t think hyung is up yet.  He’s been kinda down lately, and staying in.  Good luck, noona.  Hwaiting!” exclaimed the maknae as he moved out of the way for Bom to go in.

“Thanks Seungri, I’ll do my best,” Bom said smiling sweetly as Seungri left.

Bom made her way into the kitchen first to put the food down.  She took off her jacket as she walked towards the end of the hall where Jiyong’s room was.  Knocking softly, she opened the door to peer inside.  Seungri was correct; his hyung was still in bed sleeping.  Looking at the small form in curled up in the middle of that big bed made Bom’s heart clenched a bit.  He looked so much more frail than before.

Bom walked to the side of Jiyong’s bed and sat down lightly at the edge.  Looking at his sleeping face she could tell that he had indeed lost some weight.  His cheeks had sunken in a little bit and his face looked much more pale than ever before.  Reaching down, Bom sweeped his hair to the side and caressed his cheek with her fingers.  She leaned down until her lips were by his ear and whispered softly.

“Jiyong-ah, wake up.  It’s time to wakie wakie Jii~.”  Bom glanced at his face.  His eyes fluttered a bit, and then remained motionless.  He couldn’t trick her, she knew he was awake now but pretending to still be asleep.  She could hear it in his breathing too.  Going along with his charade, Bom crossed her arms and puffed in annoyance.

“Yah, I come over to wake this boy up and he refuses to wake.  I should just leave,” pretending to give up Bom got up to leave when an arm shot out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her down onto the bed.  Sprayed on top of the warm body underneath, arms encircled her, pulling her into a hug as she settled in against him.  With her face in the crook of his neck, Bom looked up to see that Jiyong still has his eyes closed tightly, face scrunched up in what looks like pain.

“Jiyong? Jiyong, did I hurt you?  What’s wrong?  Let me up,” she asked as she struggled to get up and out of his embrace.  Bom had expected a playful smile to be gracing his features like always before.  Not this hurt painful expression that made her heart bleed.  Jiyong shook his head and held her even tighter, preventing her from getting up.

“Give me a few minutes, Bom.  Just a few more minutes like this please,” Jiyong whispered hoarsely.  Bom relaxed her body and settled back into his arms.  Sighing to herself, she snuggled into his side and gave him exactly what he needed.  Her.

As time passed Jiyong could feel his stress disappear slowly.  His tense muscle started to relax and loosened itself, his mind clearing up and the dark haze that’s been surrounding him for days finally lifted.  It was amazing what one person can do for another that thousands of others could not.  This was why he loves Park Bom so much; her presence can pull him out of whatever rut he was in.  Burying his face in her hair he took a deep breath, taking her into him.  The mixture of her shampoo and a smell that was uniquely hers revived him at last.

“What took you so long to come save me?  Do you know how much I’ve needed you these past weeks?”  Jiyong pulled back to look at the face of the sweet angel beside him.  Bom looked up shocked at the accusing words coming from him.  He had never blamed her for anything before; making her feel even worse that she’s been neglecting him in his time of need.  Despite the accusatory tone in his voice, a wide grin was on his face.

“Yah!!  I came as soon as I could.  You scared me there for a second, I really thought you were angry with me,” Bom exclaimed.  The smile on Jiyong’s face faded as his eyes turns serious.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean it that way.  But its true, I really needed you.  I still need you.  I’m so glad you’re finally here.”

“I’m sorry, Ji.  I really wanted to come by sooner, to see you and talk to you.  You could have answered my calls and texts you know!  I was so worried about you.  I’m so sorry I wasn’t here for you?” Bom asked, rubbing his back in a soothing motion.

“No, its ok.  What matters is that you are here now.  Seriously, Bom.  These past few weeks were hell for me.  There were times when I felt like I couldn’t move on anymore.  I still don’t know if this type of world is right for me.  What did I do to warrant such hate, am I not worthy of living?” Jiyong choked out as tears that he couldn’t help fell down his face.

Bom reached up and tenderly wiped the tears away as they ran across his beautiful face.  Holding Jiyong’s face within her palms, she shook her head vehemently.

“You are human, you make mistakes just like everyone else.  There are people who can only judge and hide behind a computer screen to put others down, to make themselves feel better.  There is nothing you can say to get through to those people.  The only thing you can do is to keep trying, to keep working, and to prove to them how wrong they are.  You are a better man than all of them, and their hate cannot break you. You are stronger than that Ji.  You have friends and family that loves you, always at your side cheering you on.  And me, I’ll always be here for you.”

His heart swelled.  She always knew what he needed to hear, Jiyong thought.  This amazing person, so strange and silly at times, was able to say some of the most insightful things when it was needed the most.  Jiyong felt happy that he was able to be friends and know this very special lady so well.  He was glad that she felt the same way as he did.  Someday, he’ll be able to tell the rest of the world just how special she was to him, that his heart belongs to her, and no one else.  And that she was his.

“Thanks, Bom.  I’ll always be here for you too,” he said looking into her beautiful eyes.  They smiled at each other.  Moving out of his arms, Bom got up from the bed suddenly recalling the surprise she had prepared for him.

“Jiyong-ah, go wash up and come out to the kitchen.  I have something for you!  Hurry!”  She said excitedly as she pulls his arms and dragged him out of bed.  Laughing as he allowed himself to be pulled, Jiyong stumbled behind her as she pulled him out of his room and towards the restroom.  She pushed him towards the door as she made her way to the kitchen.

“Yah, Park Bom-jang is so bossy in the morning,” Jiyong teased.

“Just hurry Jiyong!  Don’t make me wait long or I’ll karate chop you!”  Bom yelled over her shoulders as she walked away.  Chuckling at the memory of her cute karate chops, he thought how he wouldn’t mind being karate chopped if it was her.

Jiyong walked into the dining area as Bom came out of the kitchen slowly holding a bowl with unknown contents.  It was steaming and it smelled delicious.

“Just sit Jiyong, I’m almost done,” she said as she noticed him coming over to her to help.  Bom placed the bowl down and quickly went back into the kitchen to get the rice.  She placed a bowl in front of him and took a seat across from him at the table.

“Braised chicken? Wa!  Is this Park Bom’s infamous braised chicken here in front of me?”  Along with the braised chicken, Bom had packed up many side dishes and food for Jiyong.  She wanted him to eat healthy again and regain his strength.

“Ne, you have to eat a lot.  Look at you!  You haven’t been eating?  Do you know how unhealthy that is?  How worried and sad it makes me? You have to take better care of yourself,” Bom reprimand as she filled his bowl up with chicken and food.

“Yes, ma’am!” Jiyong saluted her and picked up his chopstick to eat.  The appetite that he did not have for weeks came rushing back at him.  Not being able to help himself, he ate fast and stuffed his face with the food that Bom had prepared for him.

“YAH! Kwon Jiyong slow down before you choke to death!”  Bom yelled as she watched him choke on his food from eating too fast.  He threw a charming smile her way, his eyes glittering.  She smiled at his antics as she ate at a much slower pace.  He knew that she couldn’t resist that smile.  It always made her feel weak, and forgetful of everything else.  Finally, a real smile.

After finishing breakfast, Bom suggested that Jiyong go shower and get dress while she cleans up.  She had other things prepared for them today.  Giving her a questioning look, but not asking he did as he was told.  When he finally stepped out of his room he found her sleeping on the couch peacefully.  Kneeling down next to her sleeping form, he couldn’t help but feel even more love for the woman in front of him.  He was grateful that God had created this person for him.

To pursue his dreams, he had made so many sacrifices along the way.  Giving up a normal life and joining YG, Jiyong had never fathomed just how much of his own privacy he had to give up.  He had realized that as the years went by that the expectations everyone had of him started to weigh heavily on his shoulders.  Building up to the point where he felt like he could no longer remain standing from all of the weight.  He never claimed to be a genius or a great musician, and it became another burden.  There were times when he felt so alone in the world, that no one could possible understand him or what he’s been through.  The hardships of growing up and maturing were finally getting to him.  When he was at his lowest point in life, lost and confuse, she had appeared.  It was her strength and her love that motivated him to keep going.  Whenever his confidence waivered, she was there to set it back in place.  He was truly lucky to have her because he was nothing, until she came along.

“Thank you Park Bom-yang, I love you.”

THE END

A/N: Sorry it took me so long to update, I had too many exams this week and was busy studying.  Hopefully now with this finished, I could move on to the other one I started.  I hope you guys were inspired some what by this story.  Especially now with all the scandal and drama that Jiyong is going through.  Please always keep an open mind, and don't judge him too harshly.  We all make mistakes, lets do our best as G-Bom fans and/or VIPs, and/or Blackjacks to remain supportive of our artists in their time of need.  If you scroll back up to the top and read the lyrics to "Baby Goodnight" I couldn't help but thought how fitting it was describing our couple's relationship.  In my own delusional world I support them with all of my heart.  She's already his girl, even if its not clear to the rest of the world.

thus far, out of all the work you've posted, this has got to be my favorite. i like how you incorporated both POV's of bom & ji so that the close bond they share is well established. it truly shows how much the two care for each other even if they go weeks without spending time with one another. the simple gestures & thoughts really add to it as well (: great job on this one love!

Thank you so much for sharing this. With the drama that Jiyong is going through...again, my heart really hurts. All I can do is giving him support from afar and wish him all the best. I honestly can't say what he did was not wrong. But people do make mistakes. We should commend him for admitting & I think he deserves a chance and forgiveness. Yes, Ji has suffer so much because his fame. But I'm sure he'll get through this. He's a strong man. And he has people around him that love and care for him. This was written really well. I loved the relationship between them. Because somehow when it comes to G-Bom, I don't actually picture them as an "official" couple... not yet, not now. But more like they're in a relationship where they love and care for each other deeply. So this was realistic for me and I like it a lot! Thank you once again for writing this. It seems like there aren't may G-Bom writers out there. This ship was the first ship I like, so I have a slight bias towards it. lol

lol, no i cant be either of them... But it was funny that i was thinking something of a similiar nature. If one of these story were are writing... how true is it? Wouldn't it be really funny if someone wrote a story and it was exactly how it was written? I would think so. =) I am just a avid G-Bom fan, that loves both Jiyong and Bom very much =)
