When Two Worlds Collide

Description

One day, Umemoto Kai's group is assigned to work with SM Entertainment's EXO for a photoshoot and a new music video. With this group, it's not hard for her to get along with them all, especially since it's her job to keep tabs on their needs. Between the travel, errands, and times when both EXO and Kai are working, it's hard for Kai to not want to hang out with one of her favorite idol groups, especially since she's never gotten to work with them.

And to make things better when she's down, she's still got Hien and Ari there with her and Jaewook to call if she's not with EXO. However, being around idols comes with a price, and crazy sasaengs. Will Kai be able to keep the new friendships she's made, or will all the odds stack against her and force her to give it all up? How will she be able to manage herself when both her worlds are colliding together?

Foreword

Let's Meet The Characters!

(Main Character) Umemoto Kai is a production assistant that works with an agency that does a lot of business with many entertainment companies. The sector she works in works with many top idols. This means that Kai works with many popular idols on music videos, drama versions, and photo shoots. Her job entitles her to frequently talk with the idols she's working with, but it always ends with her doing something for them because it's her job. She doesn't have many chances to sit down when she's working but she's happy because all the movement she does keeps her fit and active. Kai is very laid-back and doesn't talk much, she's a good listener, doesn't hold grudges, doesn't lose her temper easily, hard-working, dedicated, upbeat, and generally a happy person. She sometimes comes off as serious, but only when she's working. If she's not, she's practical and thinks things through before putting herself completely into anything she wouldn't normally do on her own time. That is, unless it involves her bias...

Nguyen Hien is Kai's best friend and a make-up artist in the same group as Kai. While they both joined the same agency at the same time, Hien has more experience in the entertainment world, despite being the same age as Kai. Hien's job means that she gets to be closer to the idols than Kai, but she uses that time strictly on make-up until she and the person she applies it to are completely contented with it. After that, she's very preppy and energetic. She also tends to zone out and talk to herself when she's doing her job, but once informed on that, she will begin to pay half of her attention on the things around her unless it's something Ari involved.

Yo Jaewook is Kai's neighbor and male best friend. If there's anyone as hyperactive and bubbly, it's him. Jaewook is really easy to find if you ever lose him, find a place with food near where you lost him and he's probably there. He's got a huge appetite but he stays active so he can be healthy in order to continue eating unhealthy foods. Whenever he sees someone feeling down, he makes it his mission to make them laugh. Weird faces are his specialty and if he's not making one he can be seen smiling, laughing, or his bottom lip into his mouth. He doesn't like to sit still or else he'll most likely fall asleep if it's quiet enough, usually with loud snoring. He has really good hearing and can hear really quiet sounds, but he's a heavy sleeper. If he's not at Kai's house, work, or a place with food, he's sleeping or eating or playing Minecraft. He works at a really expensive restaurant too, which isn't a surprise to those who know him.

Ari Cloud is the director of Kai and Hien's group. Coming from America with a passion for film, he was recruited by another director at Summerbolt Productions, the agency where Kai and Hien work. He is forgetful sometimes, which makes Kai's job a bit harder when she doesn't know what he needs. He's usually seen with his trusty camera and extra batteries just in case. He sometimes asks Kai to buy things for him even when they aren't working, which makes Jaewook upset because he doesn't like seeing Kai so tired everyday. Ari also tends to get stressed out when they don't have any projects and writes a lot in his mysterious journal, which he always carries when there are no projects. He always gets really happy about cameras and films so he's usually in electronic stores or movie theaters. He's always seen smiling, even when behind the camera or upset about something. He's a bit clueless sometimes ,adorable, and awkward, which make him strangely lovable. He and Jaewook sometimes tinker together, building weird inventions that never work.

Jun Isaya is Kai's crush from Japan. Usually found with a smile, he's the sweetest guy Kai has ever met. Being that they are already friends, the two are comfortable with each other and often go places together. He's also very reliable and helps Kai whenever she needs it. Since he works on his own schedule as a popular author, he makes sure to be ahead of schedule in order to help Kai and still get work done. This also means that he has more time for himself as well. Hien finds that he likes Kai too but she doesn't believe he has the capacity to do anything about it. He's organized and caring, but more than anything, he's trustworthy, loyal, friendly, and impossible to hate. His welcoming smile and warm nature make it very hard to dislike him, which is one of Kai's favorite parts about him.

EXO as themselves, with some possible differences in personality. I'm sorry, I might make certain people completely out of character, or maybe just slightly. My hands sometimes have a mind of their own and will go completely out of my wishes. I'm going to apologize now for that, which will definitely happen in the future. I'm so sorry *bows deeply because I can't use bow emoticon on this keyboard and I'm too lazy to switch it* At least I was honest about it though. ^-^ Okay, look forward to the first chapter.

I will add minor characters along the way, so check back sometimes to see them when they are introduced. I'll be sure to tell you when I put any on here.
