It was D-day.  The day Hyejin had been preparing for non-stop for the past few months.  She was auditioning for a new action drama even though she was going to play a regular high school student.

She looked at her ring that had a bear design.  It was one of the many presents her mom had bought her when she made it top of her class every year as a kid although it was the only one she hadn't lost.  Hyejin believed it to be her lucky charm because every single audition she went to without it she had failed them.  Then again those were for commercials, none of them had been as important as this one.

She looked at her phone realizing her mentor and friend had just texted her.

[ Don't worry too much Hyejin. Oppa believes in you and you have prepared well. I'll see you later to celebrate.  Fighting!

-Yonghwa Oppa ]

"Celebrate? I'm not even going to know until next week or... I don't know.  Whatever, he's crazy."

She kept looking around at all the new actors and actresses that were auditioning.  Suddenly she didn't feel as nervous as before.  Yonghwa himself had said that she had prepared well and not only Yonghwa but CN Blue was known for succesfully transferring from being musicians to being recognized actors.

"Next up number 225."

Ok Hyejin, that's you.  Remember Yonghwa believes in you, you'll be fine.  Just.... Relax.

Hyejin remembered the techniques she practiced for this kind of scene.  When she has to hide with an older man that unknowingly desires.  Yonghwa told her to imagine an older celebrity she was a great fan of.

The first time she tried it, lets say it didn't go as planned.  But later on it did work, thinking about her crush on her sunbae.  It wasn't something she could openly show, but the feeling was there.

The audition was done and she came out feeling accomplished.  She completed the scene better than even she herself had expected.  She didn't bring her hopes up but she was satisfied at least.  She went out and headed back to FNC entertainment.  She still had to do homework and she knows that going back to her dorm before doing it is a bad idea.

[ Oppa is your studio empty?

-Hyejin ]

[ Homework again?  Yeah Jin, its just me and Jonghyun here talking.  Come on up.

-Yonghwa oppa ]

[ Nevermind..

She stopped mid text and decided not to send it.  She knew it would look weird if she decided to not go up while one of his other band members was there when she had done it before.  She never decided not to go when Jungshin or Minhyuk were there so she shouldn't act any different if Jonghyun is there.  But it scares her.  It scares her how well Yonghwa can read her, especially when he helps her with her acting, he can read everything that's going through her mind.  Him being one of her very few friends and being the closest one to her her walls crumble and she spills everything, or well, almost everything.  Yonghwa had still not made her spill about the name of the object of Hyejin's affection.  He was like an older brother, trying to protect her after what she had been through, but sometimes he got too much into that role and she didn't want to share that secret to him because of that reason.

She breathed deeply in and out before knocking on the door twice.  The door opened revealing her friend that is like an older brother.

"You know you didn't have to knock right?"  He teased while ruffling her hair.  Unlike other girls she didn't mind her hair being messy, she just liked the affection.
"I decided to be polite."  She smiled.
"Oh my god I'm so proud of you." He fake cried while hugging the living daylights out of her.  When it became too much Hyejin hit him on his sides.
"Sorry Jin, oppa got carried away.  Anyways you can go ahead and study, me and Jong are just finishing up."  He motioned to the couch where she always sat to finish her homework.

She went over and got her books out and continued on her assignments.

Yonghwa couldn't help but think how much of a good girl Hyejin was.  She rarely got into trouble and when she did it was for petty things.  He felt bad she had to live a rough life before FNC.  But at the same time he was glad that sajangnim saved her and brought her into the family.

Only very few were truly close with president Han like Hongki or himself but once he saw president Han bring Hyejin in he knew he was like his real daughter.  Once sajangnim had confided the story to him and to Hongki he couldn't help but feel bad for the girl and want to become like a real older brother to her.  He wanted to protect her from the evils of the world and her past, those that came to hunt her in the form of nightmares.

"Hyejin-ah, finish up quickly so we can all go and eat dinner."
"All?" 
"Yeah, Jonghyun is here too.  Isn't it impolite to ditch him when we're going to eat delicious food?"

Hyejin sighed inwardly.  Having Jonghyun this close to her was enough, but she couldn't say no to Yonghwa.

"Oh, yeah, I didn't mean it that way.  I just wasn't sure who was included, it could have included more people you know." At this statement Yonghwa nodded and let her continue with her homework so she could finish quickly.

"Which scene did they give you?" Yonghwa asked her as soon as the food had arrived.

They went to a Japanese restaurant wanting something different for a change.

"It was the scene when my character is hidden in the closet, right before she gets found.  Its the same one we practiced."
"Then we got lucky."
"Yeah. I just hope I made it."
"Don't worry, you practiced a lot so I'm sure you did."
"Yeah and besides if you didn't then you need to change mentors and come over to my side."

Yonghwa hit Jonghyun playfully and it made Hyejin loosen up for the rest of dinner.  Right before dessert came Yonghwa received a call and went to step outside.  Hyejin felt awkward being left alone with Jonghyun.  He was older while she was still a minor for at least the next six months.  It was only nine months before her high school graduation, before she had to get worried.  She liked him too much and if he didn't get a girlfriend soon she was afraid of starting to hope that he would like her, she didn't want that.  She felt like it would never happen.
