Niel’s mother becomes very sick day by day. She began having constant fainting spell and it seemed as though she always had a fever. Niel brought her all the herbs she needed from what byunghun had informed him and made sure she was getting all the rest she needed. Not to forget, byunghun has using his healing power for most the time to heal their mother even though he always got exhausted easily recently. However, he couldn’t stop. their mother was dying and everyone does aware about it.

Niel leaned against the door and he watch byunghun, who was sitting at the same spot since three days ago, his eyes shut while his hands on the chest of their mother with the same light of blue coming out from him.

It was three days…and byunghun still didn’t stop using his power.

Niel shook his head, he couldn’t let byunghun continue being like this. he’ll break himself if he keep using his power more than his limit.

FLASHBACK

“ah..so u saw his power?” niel’s mother asked on the next morning after she had woken up from her unconscious state.

“mother…will he be ok? I mean…when I saw the blue light surrounding him, I guess…he need to use lot of energy to create them isn’t it?” niel said “I read about healers and I found only experience healer will be manage to use their power like what he did, but I wonder, byunghun is still too young but how can he use his power just fine?”

Mrs ahn smile and reached to take niel’s hand in her brace. “byunghun has a very powerful ability my dear, much much greater than my own, and probably even greater than any healers u have read about”

“is it because of where he came from?”

His mother hummed in thought “might be possible. We know where he came from but we still don’t know where he is EXACTLY came from, maybe from the place which having full of strong magical beings. But we will never know right? all we can do is being thankful for having him here to help us”

Niel walked to the country yard, finding byunghun lounging under one of the trees with a book of spells in his hand.

“instead of healing, can u hurt anyone with ur power?” niel asked, taking seat next to the small healer.

Byunghun shrugged and closed the book “I can’t tell”

“then…can ur power hurt u?”

“I never know, niellie-pretty”

Niel felt his eye twitch “what the hell did u just call me?” he asked in a low voice

Byunghun burst out laughing so hard that he fell onto his side “haha look at you niellie…your face!!! your face so red like clown!!!”

“YAH! U idiot…just shut it off or I’ll kick ur ”

“uh oh…niellie-pretty is gonna get me!!” byunghun cried as he jumped and climbed up the tree he had been sitting under “get down here u idiot!!” niel yelled, shaking his fist

“that doesn’t seem like a very good idea!” byunghun called down

Niel shook his head and sat back down, picking up the book byunghun had been reading previously “healing spells???” he mumbles

Byunghun climbed down a moment later, joining the taller boy. Niel then shut the book and rolled his eyes “why are u reading about healing spells when u already good at those?”

Byunghun’s smile faltered a bit “I’m not good enough when it comes to magic…I might fall short”
