A/N: I'm not sure if you still remember this story since its been awhile... anyways here's an update.. I hope you enjoy reading ^^

-To be a Family part4-

“That punch was just the first. I’d beat you into a pulp for doing what you did to Jinyoung, you bastard!” 

Those words were said in a dangerous tone that promises hell.

“What the hell Jaebum?!” Mark shouts, voice full of anger and dangerously as soon as he regains his balance. He’s the quiet type of guy and didn’t like fighting at all but he won’t let anyone hurt him either. Mark never backs down a fight when he’s defending himself or protecting someone and most especially when he knows he didn’t do anything at all.

The person called Jaebum didn’t even bother with the dangerous tone of Mark.

“And what are you talking about? I didn’t do anything to Jinyoung.” Mark said, despite being mad at Jaebum’s sudden attack he’s also a bit confused on what Jaebum’s talking about.

But the confusion in Mark only made Jaebum’s blood boils even more.

“After promising never to hurt Jinyoung, you dare and did it. I’ll ing kill you for that.” Jaebum shouted and make an attempt to punch Mark once again.

Mark prepared himself for it and of course he’ll never let Jaebum punch him again.

Jaebum throws a punch and Mark who’s really good when it comes to reflexes. He easily dodges the punch and because of that Jaebum got mad even more for it.

Jaebum continues on trying to punch Mark and Mark continue to dodge and block Jaebum’s punch, They continue to do it until they both heard a familiar voice, shouting at them, making them stop.

“Stop, Stop it!” Jinyoung said as he tries to stop Mark and Jaebum as he gets in between them.

Jinyoung was shocked when Mark’s been punched earlier. He couldn’t react immediately and could only stare and listen as Jaebum, his best friend, tries to beat his husband. But when they continue, Jinyoung finally get over his shock and he get off the couch and gets in between the two to stop them from hurting each other.

“Jin, don’t get in the way. I’ll give this bastard a lesson.” Jaebum said when Jinyoung suddenly appears in between of him and Mark.

“I’ll be the one to teach you a lesson. I ing didn’t do anything.” Mark replies.

Both Mark and Jaebum glare at each other after exchanging those words. They almost ignore Jinyoung’s pleas to make them stop.

“Please Jaebum hyung. Stop trying to hurt my husband. He didn’t do anything.” Jinyoung pleads Jaebum as he stares directly at him, giving him those pleading looks.

Jaebum stop when Jinyoung gives him that look. He almost says yes, he’s weak when it comes to Jinyoung asking him of something or anything. That’s how special Jinyoung is to him but then remembers something important.

“How can you still defend that bastard when he’s going to leave you?” Jaebum asks Jinyoung.

Jinyoung looks at Jaebum with confused expression. Jaebum then glares at Mark.

“You didn’t do anything?! Impregnating Jinyoung and then leaving him to raise the baby alone?! You bastard! I’ll kill you” Jaebum threatens Mark.

Hearing Jaebum’s outburst Mark looks at him still with a confused look before getting mad again for that accusation.

“What the hell are you talking about?! Who says about leaving him?! I am not going to do it, ever!” Mark then says after.

Jaebum stops and stare at Mark, assessing his words. There was something by the way Mark said those words that made Jaebum stop from beating him.

Seeing that Jaebum stay still, Jinyoung takes that chance to speak.

“Jaebum hyung what are you talking about?” Jinyoung asks. His facial expression shows that he’s really confused.

Jaebum looks at Jinyoung and then back to Mark. He looks at the married couple and both are giving him confused looks. Jaebum takes a deep breath and looks at Jinyoung.

“Jin, didn’t you tell me earlier that you’re pregnant and Mark’s leaving you?” Jaebum asks, as he clarifies something.

Jinyoung blinks at Jaebum, trying to digest what his best friend just told him, while Mark gives Jinyoung an unbelievable stare.

A few seconds passed and Jinyoung finally understood what Jaebum’s saying.

Jinyoung blushed beet red in embarrassment.

“Baby?” Mark calls Jinyoung’s attention. His voice tells that he wants explanation.

Jaebum stared at Jinyoung as well.

Jinyoung blink and bit his lips.

“Uhm, you see… Jaebum hyung, err, earlier I was a bit upset when I called you. Mark and I had a misunderstanding and…” Jinyoung paused for a second and then “But we’re okay now.” Jinyoung added.

Jaebum stares at Jinyoung and then finally gets what he’s talking about.

Earlier, he received a call from a sad Jinyoung telling about his pregnancy and about his thought that Mark’s leaving him because he’s weird, he’s a guy and yet got pregnant and everything. And now apparently his dear best friend forgot to tell him that they are already okay and him, well his only mistake was he suddenly appears on their house without a second thought.

‘How can I not immediately go here when I hear how upset he was.’ Jaebum thought as he stares at Jinyoung.  

“I’m sorry Jaebum hyung.” Jinyoung apologized. Jaebum of course couldn’t do anything now but to just nods at him and then Jinyoung looks at Mark, whom by that time is showing an upset expression. Mark was a bit upset that Jinyoung consulted Jaebum first before talking that matter to him.

Feeling a bit betrayed that Jinyoung talked to Jaebum first before consulting him, before Mark could stop himself, his mouth started running.

“It would have been nice if you talked to me first before you called Jaebum, Jinyoung.” Mark speaks voice lace with a bit irritation and addressing Jinyoung on his name and not his usual endearment.

Jinyoung bit his lips, guilty of what he did. He knows he should’ve talked to his husband first but he was hurt earlier and Jaebum has always been the person he always tells his worries about. After all he’s his best friend.

“I’m sorry.” Jinyoung muttered. He felt ashamed on what he did. He looks at Mark but Mark’s giving him an upset, disappointed and a bit of irritated expression that made Jinyoung feel worst.

Jaebum on the other hand who’s caught in the middle of it felt the tension between the two and seeing the sad look on Jinyoung, which he really can’t bear, Jaebum butts in.

“He says he’s sorry, no need to be upset about it.” Jaebum said as he directly looks at Mark.

Mark raised an eyebrow on him in return. Jinyoung on the other hand thought that he should’ve stop Jaebum from speaking because even though he’s grateful for his best friends protective instinct that saved him lots of times, sometimes it also the cause of the fight especially with Mark.

“And besides if you didn’t act indifferently after finding out that your husband’s pregnant then Jinyoung wouldn’t even think of you leaving him. So don’t get upset and scold him because you have no reason to.” Jaebum added, voice hard.

Mark’s usually a calm person, not really minding about other’s words, but somehow Jaebum always say the right words to irritate him. Jaebum always pushes the right button to make him mad.

“I don’t think you have the right to tell me that. This is between Jinyoung and I, an outsider’s opinion don’t matter.” Mark said coldly. Emphasizing that Jaebum shouldn’t in to the matter that involves just him and Jinyoung.

And just like how Jaebum knows how to irritate Mark, Mark also knows how to make Jaebum mad in return. Not to mention that Jaebum always have a short and hot temper, and so he snapped.

“How dare you call me an outsider?!” Jaebum ask, voice in a high pitch, obviously angry. Jaebum then suddenly grab the collar of Mark’s shirt.

“Let go!” Mark said, voice in a angry tone too. He’s trying to get rid of Jaebum’s hold on him.

But Jaebum didn’t let go, and Mark doesn’t have a choice but to grab Jaebum’s shirt in return. Jinyoung shout to make them stop, trying to break them apart but the two men are both hardheaded they wouldn’t let go of each other.

With Mark and Jaebum grabbing each other’s shirt, glaring daggers at each other and Jinyoung being ignored, Jinyoung scream so loud to get the two’s attention which they did but after that Jinyoung suddenly feel dizzy. He lost his balance and he would’ve kissed the floor if Mark and Jaebum weren’t fast to catch him.

“Baby!”

“Jin!”

Both Mark and Jaebum exclaimed as they catch Jinyoung. Both are glad that they cached Jinyoung on time and they both lead him carefully towards the couch.

“Baby, are you alright?” Mark ask, obviously concern.

“Jin, tell me what’s wrong?” Jaebum ask, likewise he’s concerned.

“I got dizzy. I’m alright. Don’t worry.” Jinyoung said in a weak voice. Jinyoung looks at his husband and then at his best friend. “Please stop fighting. You know I can’t stand it when you fight with each other.” Jinyoung said.

Seeing Jinyoung’s expression, both Mark and Jaebum look at each other and of course since Jinyoung asked for it they decided to make up, all for Jinyoung’s sake. Well they were okay before anyways, its just sometimes they get on each other’s nerves but of course when it comes to Jinyoung they are both willing to do anything to make him happy.

“I’m sorry.” Both Mark and Jaebum say as they apologized for their actions.

Jinyoung smiles and nods at them.

“I hope you’ll stop fighting, the doctor said that I shouldn’t get stressed and upset, and you know how much I hate it when you fight with each other.” Jinyoung reminded them.

Mark and Jaebum felt guilty and apologized once again.

“Now, please make up.” Jinyoung says.

Mark and Jaebum stare at each other and with Jinyoung waiting for their next actions, both extended their arms for a hand shake.

“Sorry.”  Mark and Jaebum says and Jinyoung smiles.

“Good” Jinyoung says and then he hears his stomach growls. Jinyoung blush and Mark and Jaebum couldn’t help but to smile on it. Jinyoung’s just too cute when he turns red.

Mark leans over Jinyoung and gave him a kiss on his forehead and then says…

“I’ll go and prepare food for you.” Mark said and Jinyoung smiles at him gratefully. Jinyoung then raise his hand and touch the part that Jaebum punched earlier.

“How are you feeling?” Jinyoung asks eyes and voice full of concern.

Mark then gives him an assuring smile.

“I’m alright. I’ll take care of this.” Mark says and then he goes to the kitchen to prepare food. When Mark’s nowhere to be seen, Jinyoung looks at Jaebum.

“I’m sorry hyung.” Jinyoung says. He’s apologizing for not informing Jaebum that he and Mark already resolve the matter he confided on him earlier on the phone.

Jaebum smiles at Jinyoung.

“You don’t have to be sorry. Thanks to you, that actually gave me an excuse to punch that Tuna husband of yours.” Jaebum says, grinning. He calls Mark Tuna instead of Tuan whenever he’s annoyed at him.

“Jaebum hyung!” Jinyoung exclaimed and Jaebum laughs.

“I was just kidding. Relax. Shouting like that is bad for the baby’s health.” Jaebum reminded him.

Jinyoung pout but relaxes as what Jaebum ask him to do. Jaebum saw the blanket on the couch gets it and starts draping it to Jinyoung.

“Hyung you need to let me go, you know… I’m old enough and married.” Jinyoung said as he gets comfortable on his position, letting Jaebum cover him with blanket.

Jaebum sighs upon hearing Jinyoung’s request. He finished covering Jinyoung with the blanket before he answers.

“I know. I just tend to forget that my little brother’s all grown up, married already and now having a baby.” Jaebum said. “I just worry, okay.” Jaebum added.

Hearing that from Jaebum, Jinyoung can’t help but to smile. Jaebum never changes, he’s still the overprotective best friend/ brother he cherished so much.

Im Jaebum, he’s Jinyoung’s best friend. They met in a summer camp back when they were in junior high. They were on the same group and when they met they automatically click. Jinyoung and Jaebum have similar names from famous artist and some of the kids from the camp made fun of them. Jinyoung doesn’t actually mind but Jaebum has a temper and he got into fights with the other kids. Jinyoung was the one who always calms Jaebum and tries to stop him from getting into fights.

Jinyoung’s the one who can immediately calms Jaebum down, the one Jaebum always listen to.

Jinyoung and Jaebum are each other’s best friend. They are so close that they treat each other as more than friends but brothers

Jaebum is an only child that’s why he’s over protective of Jinyoung. He thought of Jinyoung as the brother he never had thus the reason why he cares for him so much and treasures him.

“Hyung, thank you.” Jinyoung said.  He knows how much Jaebum cares for him and he’s really grateful to him.

Jaebum smiles at him.

“You’re welcome. You know how much I care for you.” Jaebum said. And Jinyoung nods. “Now, how about telling me more about this pregnancy of yours.” Jaebum then ask.

And with that, Jinyoung tell Jaebum more about his pregnancy and what the doctor said to them.

Jaebum stayed at their house for awhile, talking to Jinyoung. When Mark return, with the food, Jaebum ate with them too. He and Mark even bicker a bit well, Mark loves saying things that makes Jaebum temper loose, luckily Jinyoung didn’t noticed. Mark and Jaebum have that kind of relationship its not that bad actually. It’s just a normal since Jaebum’s the ‘’so-called” big overprotective brother and Mark’s the guy who stole his brother.

Before Jaebum left he told Jinyoung and Mark that he’ll visit more often much to Jinyoung’s happiness and to Mark’s dismay, well of course he didn’t show that to Jinyoung or else Jinyoung’s going to scold him.

After Jaebum left, Jinyoung felt sleepy once again which of course Mark noticed. Jinyoung’s in the middle of yawning when without warning Mark suddenly picks him up, bridal style earning a yelp from Jinyoung because of that sudden action.

“Mark!” Jinyoung exclaimed, eyes-wide as he looks at Mark but his arms automatically wrap around Mark’s neck so that he wouldn’t fall off.

“You’re sleepy.” Mark says and then he starts walking towards the direction of the stairs. He goes up and proceeds to their bedroom.

Inside their bedroom, Mark carefully laid Jinyoung on their bed and then lays beside him.

“Let’s take a nap baby.” Mark suggested as he gently wrap his arms around Jinyoung.

Jinyoung automatically snuggle closer to Mark’s arms, grateful with the warmth that his husband’s providing.

“Thank you.” Jinyoung says sleepily.

“You’re welcome.” Mark says while gently Jinyoung’s shoulder, lulling him to sleep.

They stay like that for awhile, and then Mark softly said something, it was faint but Jinyoung still hears it.

“I can’t promise to be the perfect Dad to our child but I’ll do everything to be the best.” Mark promised and Jinyoung who’s slowly drifting to sleep can’t help but to let out a smile upon hearing it. He knows that Mark will definitely fulfill that promise. Mark never breaks a promise and Jinyoung knows that very well and with that promise in mind, Jinyoung succumb to his much deserves sleep.

The following day, Jinyoung and Mark started their day normally with slight changes. It was Jinyoung who’s usually preparing breakfast before but since he’s pregnant and Mark doesn’t want him doing much work takes it upon himself to cook for them He woke up early too.

Jinyoung told Mark that he doesn’t have to do all of that but Mark insisted. Jinyoung couldn’t do anything but to let his husband pamper him and enjoy it. And so when breakfast is done they eat peacefully. And as they eat they both decide that they are going to tell the good news to both of their parents after breakfast.

And so after breakfast Jinyoung and Mark settled on their living and room and called their parents to tell them about Jinyoung’s pregnancy.

They first called Jinyoung’s parents. Jinyoung’s parents were surprised about the news but of course like a normal parents they rejoice knowing that soon they are going to have a grandchild. Jinyoung’s mother told him about the things to remember when pregnant and of course even though Jinyoung’s a guy, Jinyoung’s mother believes that there’s no difference about what should and shouldn’t be done when pregnant. Jinyoung of course is grateful with his mother for telling him those things.

Being pregnant is something new for Jinyoung especially since his condition isn’t normal, since he’s a guy and he can’t help but to feel mix emotions about it but he’s really thankful that his family is there to support, help him and of course love him unconditionally.

Before they ended the call, Jinyoung’s parents as well as his sisters promised to visit them soon.

After that, they called Mark’s parents. Despite the time difference, Mark’s parents answers their call. And the moment they break the news that Jinyoung’s pregnant. Mark’s mother almost wants to book a flight to Korea immediately.

Mark and Jinyoung told them that they don’t have to go to Korea immediately, no hurry as they say but they can visit them anytime though especially when the time for Jinyoung to give birth.

Since Mark’s mother is very much excited about the baby, Mark’s father jokingly ask if he should buy a house in Korea for them to live closer and so that they could visit them anytime they want. With that idea, Mark’s mother couldn’t help but to hug her husband for that thinking about it

Mark’s father may have said those things jokingly but with Mark’s mother’s reaction, he might consider doing it for real.

And like Jinyoung’s mother. Mark’s mother reminded both Mark and Jinyoung about the important things they should remember about pregnancy. They talk about it for awhile, the topic of the child’s gender and name was added to the conversation too. They continue talking when Mark’s siblings join and starts getting excited about the baby too. And when they finally bid goodbye, promising that they’ll call often to check on them especially on Jinyoung’s condition.

After talking to both of their parents Mark and Jinyoung cuddle on the couch, thankful for the things their parents said to them.

Jinyoung’s happy that both his mother and mother in law gave him good advices about his pregnancy. Jinyoung was talking about that when he noticed that Mark’s seems to be in a deep thought, not paying much attention to him.

“Is there something wrong?” Jinyoung ask as his voice with a worried tone.

Mark hearing the worried tone in Jinyoung’s voice looks at him and shakes his head.

“No baby, nothing’s wrong. Don’t worry, okay.” Mark assures Jinyoung.

Jinyoung stares at him for awhile, assessing if he’s telling the truth. Mark then gave Jinyoung a smile. A sincere one. The one that Jinyoung will never resists.

Jinyoung looks at the smile, one of his most favorite smiles from Mark.

And then Jinyoung’s stomach growls and once again he blushed in embarrassment.

“I’m hungry again.” Jinyoung announced. Jinyoung can’t believe that he’s hungry again.

Mark laughs at him.

“Let me prepare something for you.” Mark said as he gets off from the couch.

“Let me help.” Jinyoung said and then make an attempt to get off form the couch. But mark shakes his head no.

“Just stay here and relax baby, I can do it.” Mark said. He didn’t give Jinyoung a chance to argue and Jinyoung just give up.

“Sorry.” Jinyoung said apologizing for making Mark prepare food for him again.

“No need to be sorry baby. You’re eating for two now. Don’t apologize okay.” Mark said.

Jinyoung nods and he’s thankful that Mark’s understanding and willing to prepare food for him. Oh how much he loves his husband for doing those things for him.

“Now just relax while I prepare something for you” Mark said and then he left Jinyoung on the couch and then proceeds to the kitchen.

As Mark prepares food for Jinyoung, his mind starts drifting off. His minds starts drifting back on what he’s thinking earlier.

When Jinyoung asked his earlier what’s wrong, well it was true that there’s nothing wrong, it just that he’s thinking about the things that both his father and father in law said to him earlier when they were talking to him.

Their words doesn’t sound so bad but the way they said it and the expression that comes with it really made him think about it more.  Both his father and father in law were both grinning when tehy said the words.

“Good luck with the cravings and the sudden mood swings”

A/N2: I’m so sorry for the super late update. Got drown with work and RL matters, I can spazz but my muse was gone  so I apologize to dear readers for only updating now. ( Ithink I've found my muse agai ^^)  Not sure if you still remember this story or looking forward to this much but here is the update. Comments are love and very much appreciated. How was it?

Will try to update as soon as possible, hopefully RL and work’s will be good to me so that I’ll have time to write ^^.
