“You’re late.” Sooyoung ranted, hands on her waist. “Again.”
Taeyeon sighed, swiftly stuffing the black hooded mask in her duffel bag as she enters from the back door. “The bistro will run without me, Gluttony.”
“Shh!” Sooyoung quickly covered Taeyeon’s mouth. “Are you insane? Don’t call me that!” She hissed, looking from left to right to check if anyone heard them. “What if someone—“
“There’s no one in the room, Sooyoung.”
“You never know!” Sooyoung shook her head. “Don’t forget Greed was captured. Damn so easily! I told her it was a trap. But, no. No, she didn’t believe me. Still went to that—“
“Ok, ok.” Taeyeon waved her off. “I get it. Sorry, okay? I’ll be more careful. But, have you seen this?” She handed Sooyoung a newspaper.
“Sidekick BlackPearl on the roll,” Sooyoung read. “Saved another cat from—“
“Not that.” Taeyeon pointed on the big bold letters printed on the front paper. “Headlines. Read the headlines!”
“Ms. P on much deserved vacation.” Sooyoung crossed her arms. “So, they haven’t found her yet, huh?”
“Apparently.” Taeyeon secured the apron on her waist. “After capturing Greed, their favorite hero just disappeared. Just like a bubble!”
“Ha! Talk about mediaplay. The government’s gotten busy bribing these reporters.”
“They are. And so should we.” Taeyeon walked towards the front door and flipped the signage to open. “Time to earn a living, Soo.”
