Soojungie?
I wake up startled and looking around just to meet the sunlight from the windows that come in between the room’s curtain. Then I look at the figure on the bed and see Soojung still not waking up and my hand still holding her hand
I look sadly at her, Just a dream, huh? but still manage to give her a small smile. I give her a morning kiss on her lips then as I still staring at her pretty face while her hair gently, my eyes landed on my phone on the bedside table, it shows that now is 11:00 A.M, my eyes widened at this
! 11 AM already?
“Yah Soojungie!! If you want to appear at my dream to wake me up at least do it earlier, it’s freaking 11 baby, I’m so lateee” I said and then quickly open the curtain, the window, grab my things, call the nurse then bid my wife goodbye
“I’ll go work now Soojung, take care okay” and I kiss her forehead first before quickly go out from the hospital and make my way to the company
“Sorry I’m late” I said
“Dude, overslept again?” Henry said already sit there with Jjong on our studio
“Yeah, kind of, so what’s new?”
“We need the music done this week and we will do the demo next week so the company can choose the songs” Jjong said, looking at the calendar to find our demo schedule
“Great, we already finished the songs right? 2 songs in korean and 1 song with English”
“Yep we are, but you know the boss just called me and want us to make 1 more English song, since the group this time will hit it on U.S” Hen said giving me the paper from our boss
“Oh.. an International group.. it’s a band right?” I said and take the paper from him, reading the group’s detail
“Yep, I’m not sure an idol group will get that famous overseas like they are in here Korea, so the company decided to make it a band I guess?” Jjong said while still checking the music notes
“Right, I thought so, well let’s do this” I said to them and begin work for the song
“So what’s the concept about?” I asked them, after giving last check for the 3 songs that we already make and now about to start make the 4th song
“The boss said it’s about love” Jjong said, glancing at Henry
“Yeah so? What love? Break-up? First love?” I ask them and they seems a little bit hesitant
“Uhh, it’s about.. it’s.. uh..” Henry said but then Jjong cut him
“Let’s put it like this, the boss told us that the music video will be about a boy where his lover is in a coma state and not waking up, the boy love her so much and always beside her hoping that his girlfriend will wake up someday, uhh something like that?” Jjong said to me
I froze there for a second before giving them a small smile “Sounds like my story”
“We are sorry Am, we don’t know, it’s the boss who--” Jjong said again but I cut him
“Haha, why are you saying sorry? It’s for work, nothing wrong, don’t worry dude. So it should be a slow song am I right?” They nodded at me
“Um.. can I write the lyrics? It’s been a while since I write a song for Soojung, she will be happy if I do that and the concept suit our condition now, maybe she will wake up if I do that consider she got mad at me before because I never write her anything anymore” I said to them chuckling
“Of course you can” Henry said to me and ruffle my hair
“Hahaha okay it’s settled! Let’s do this!” Jjong said and we started working on the song
We manage to finish 70% of the melodies and will do the finishing after I get the lyrics done. It’s already late now, around 10:00 PM, Jjong and Henry already got home an hour ago while I still stay here at the studio to arranged some melodies and write the lyrics for our song.
Author’s POV
While Amber still stay at the studio, there are two figures having some drinks at some bar. They keep on having drinks as if something is bothering them
“Why.. Why don’t you tell her Jong?” Henry said drinking his beer
“Heh, I don’t know what are you talking about Hen” Jong said chuckling and drinking his beer
“You know we both know what I mean. The music video for that song, you didn’t tell her everything about that video..”
“......... Even if hen.. Even if it is just for work and she said it’s okay.. I can’t Hen.. I can’t..”
“But if we don’t tell her..”
“Can you said in her face that at the end the girl in that music video will never wake up, never make it and die leaving her lover all alone. Well? Can you?”
“...”
“You can’t right? Let’s just hope this won’t happen in Amber’s real life”

Amber’s POV
Still staring at the music notes, I feel like I don’t have any inspiration to write the lyrics. I used to write songs even when I still at Junior High since I’m from a musician family so it runs on the blood. But I love to write a song mostly since Senior High, since I started to write songs for her.
“Eh? You here already?”
“Oh hi princess”
“And guitar? You can play guitar?”
“Didn’t I tell you I can play guitar and drums too?”
“You can? Well not much surprise since you’re from a musician family”

I’m actually really embarrassed because she see that song, I never tell her that it’s for her but I think she know that I write it for her just from the lyrics.

“Uhh, actually it’s a duet, there’s a boy part and girl part there”

Goodbye Summer… our first secret song, our first duet, and my first song that I write for her. I still remember how she enjoyed the melodies, the lyrics, how she will move her head alongside the rhythm and how her eyes closed and lips forms a smile enjoying my song

“Wow, that was awesome! You’re surprisingly good!” She said clapping her hand
“Surprisingly, huh?” I said pouting at her
“Merong~ let’s sing it together now” She said stuck her tongue out and pulling me closer to her
“Yeah, yeah, you the girl part and I will take the boy part and the rapping, sounds good?” I said to her and give her the lyrics and show her the part she will sing

Startled, we quickly apart from each other and look away from each other, I quickly grab my phone and look at the caller ID
Seriously now Jjong? I pick up the phone and talk to Jjong
“What the hell Jong!?” I said annoyed, that was close and from all this time he had to call me now
“Woaa, what’s up dude? Did I interrupt something?”

“Something intimate?” He ask teasingly
“Shut up, what do you want?” I said embarrassed, I can feel my face turned red and I take a glance at Krystal who not looking at me and hung her head low, covering her face with her long hair
“Oww, don’t tell me you’re in the middle of having se—“ Jjong said sounds surprised
“Yah!! I’m not”
“Hahahaaha I’m just teasing Am. Look, the boys want to hang out at Henry’s place, you want to join?”
I hesitate but then I can’t be here longer because it would awkward with Krystal so I say “yeah, sure, I’ll go there after this”
“Cool, see you there then, and don’t think you can get away Am, tell us everything happen and what did I interrupt hihihi” Jjong giggling like a girl
“Stop that Jjong, you sounds like an ahjumma, and I will never tell you guys anything”

“Whatever, see you then” I said and ended the call before he can tease me again
I turn my head and look at her to catch her looking at me too. Soon as our eyes meet we quickly look away from each other again. I coughed to get her attention and she finally look at me
“Ummm it’s Jjong, he said the boys want to hang out at Henry’s place and they invited me too, umm.. so I kind of need to go there now” I said scratching my neck and try to not have an eye contact with her
“Uhh.. sure, I need to go home too anyway” she said not really looking at me too
“Well, okay. Anyway Krys your voice sounds really great, you should sing more” I said grinning at her, trying to make the atmosphere not awkward between us
“Yeah, yours too Am, and the song really amazing” she said finally smiling at me

“Yeah yeah mrs. I’m-so-awesome”
“You’re just jealous of my awesomeness”
“Whatever Liu” She said rolling her eyes and we laughed together after that. Finally the awkward atmospheres are gone
“Come on Krys” I said to her, grabbing our bags and handed her bag to her
“Soojung” she said slowly, I can’t quite understand what she talked about so I make a confused face
“Pardon?”
“I said Soojung, stupid. Just call me Soojung, stupid” she said and after that walking away from me
“Come on, stupid” she said turning to look at me who still not move an inch from my place
“Yeah yeah..... Soojung stupid” I said catching up with her, we walk side by side
“YAH!! WHO TOLD YOU TO CALL ME STUPID!?” she said smacking my arm
“Ouch! Hey! But you said ‘I said Soojung stupid. Just call me Soojung stupid’??” I said rubbing my arm

“Hahahaha Ouch! hey hey hey stop! Ouch! I’m just kidding hahaha”

“Aww.. Sorry Soojungie” I pouted cutely at her
“Soojungie?” she said turn to look at me with confused face
“Yeah. Soojungie” I said grinning at her
“Stupid” she said but I can see from the corner of my eyes that her lips form a small smile “I will call you Josephine then” she said then stuck her tongue at me and ran away

“Hahahahaha, hey Josephine” she said teasing me

“Yeah?” Hearing that she talked about that song again I suddenly get nervous, remembering that we almost kissed because of that song
“Umm.. can you make it as our secret? As our song? I mean, don’t sing it with anyone else” she said shyly hanging her head low
I can feel my face become red and hot because of her request.. Did she just.. “U-uh.. S-sure” I said while scratching my neck, feeling embarrassed. Our song. Our secret
But then despite our awkwardness, we found ourselves smiling all the way while walking together and just enjoy this feeling between us

Memories of her sure make me have some inspiration, in no time I already finish half of the lyrics. Feeling tired, I take a rest on the couch for a moment. I lay down and close my eyes, a five minutes of nap wouldn’t hurt right? Without noticing it, I already feel asleep and dream about some of my memories at my sleep
“Soojungie, want to go home now?”
“Aww, sorry Am I need to do some test now, just go home without me today, be careful okay?”

“There are not many people call her Soojung. It’s only her close relative, parents, sister, and me who called her that since I’m her best friend from when we’re still a cute little baby”

“Hahaha, so what’s wrong with the Soojung name? why only few people call her that?”

“Soojung only let people she love so much calls her with her Korean name”
A/N : If anyone notice, in present time Amber always call Krystal “Soojungie” but in her memories in previous chapters she call Krystal “Krystal”. If anyone notice, now you know why hehe and yes people, Amber’s memories are in order from how they first meet til now so it’s not just some random memories... uhh well it can be random sometimes lol
