“Where am I?” he repeats to himself, taking slow and steady steps further out onto the beach, eyes flitting back and forth between the waters and the emerald jungle behind. He wanders over to the edge of the shore, turning back to stare at the skyline above the palm trees shooting high into the air, dull panic settling heavily in the pit of his stomach.
