Do-Won’s POV

I got out of work late today; the sun was just setting casting an orange glow on the sky. I quickly go home and get dressed for my night out, I’m wearing a sleeveless white shirt and black skinny jeans. I look at my watch; 8:00 PM, perfect. I walk out my door and call a taxi. When we get there, I pay the driver and get out of the taxi. The gazes of the guys who are there fall on me, I smile slightly, this usually always happens when I arrive at the club. I walk in the door and hear the familiar bass make my head pound, wonderful. I walk straight to the bar to order a gin tonic like I usually do.

The bar has changed since I last came here, which was about a week ago. It’s now got loads of rose vases, they rearranged the drink shelves, and the once mahogany counter has been turned into a marble one; it’s nice. They’ve also added lots of vases filled with roses of all colours giving the bar a lovely smell. The bartenders are still here, I don’t really know them that well but I do know their names, Hyuk, Hongbin, Ravi, Ken, Leo, and N. They’re all quite good-looking so every evening I see girls flirting with them, I don’t talk with them except when I order something but I have seen a bit of their personalities. Hyuk is very flirtatious and so is Hongbin, Ravi is quiet but when he does talk, he makes jokes, Ken is outgoing and funny, slightly flirty as well, Leo is very quiet and doesn’t talk much at all, and N is shy but he does talk more than Ravi and Leo. All are nice, but very different from one another.  

Just when I’m about to order my drink a guy sits down next to me.

“A vodka martini for the girl and I.” He says, speech slurred. He grins drunkenly at me. What? A vodka martini? No thanks, I have a slightly low alcohol tolerance and a drink like that is too much and I hate vodka as well, it makes me cough and extremely drunk after a few sips.

“Sorry, I don’t—” I start but he cuts me off with a look. then one of the guys sets the drinks down in front of us but I don’t see who.

“Drink.” He orders. I do because those two words and the way he said them were quite intimidating, I brace myself for the taste but there is none, it’s only water, thank god, I think. I almost sigh in relief, the guy has already left since I’m being so boring. I take a closer look at the glass, etched in it is the design of a rose and it’s painted blue, nice, I think. Then Hyuk sets my gin tonic in front of me with a smile playing on his lips.

“Enjoy.” He smiles at me and it makes my heart jump slightly, why are you like this, he’s just being the usual flirt, I tell both my heart and myself but I smile back at him, only a small one though.

The serving of the drinks:

“A vodka martini for the girl and I.” The guy says, speech slurred. Then he smiles weirdly at Pearl(their nickname for her). Ken grits his teeth when he sees this.

“Sorry, I don’t–” But then she falters when the guy looks at her. N starts making the martinis when Ken puts his hand on top of one glass.

“Don’t give her that stuff.” He whispers angrily. N nods understanding immediately what Ken means, he glances at Pearl and then pours water into the glass and puts it on the table. Ken watches as she drinks it and a look of surprise crosses her face and then relief. Hyuk goes to make her usual drink, happy that he can finally serve her: their favourite customer, not to mention the prettiest.

“Enjoy.” He smiles at her and she smiles back at him. Hyuk’s heart leaps as some jealous eyes glare at him wanting to be in his position.
