Ji Hyo POV:

I vaguely remember people crowding over me like I was an exhibit. Above that, I felt my head spinning as everyone's faces mashed together to become one... 

I woke up at home on my bed. Using my elbow to support me as my other hand rubbed my eyes open, I felt my brain knocking against my skull. The pain was throbbing and so painful I laid back down on the bed. Just as I finally controlled the pain and was about to fall back asleep, my irrtating maid decided to come and ruin things for me. 

"YOU ARE AWAKE! GET UP AND EAT YOUR DINNER!" She placed the tray of food at the foot of my bed. Despite her rudeness to me, I needed her. I needed her at times to make me laugh and to help me with my academics. I garnered all the energy from every hidden corner in my body and got up. I picked up the tray and headed down to the dinning room for dinner. Placing the tray down and laying my food down properly, I finally started eating. Every bite and mouth felt like my stomach was going to flip over due to the pain from my head to my entire body. Silence echoes in the house as the night fell. My parents will not be in town this week for they have to meet some other company in Japan to discuss about an event which they were working together. I left my tray there and headed to my room for a shower. After showering and getting my maid, June , to clean my hair dry, I plopped down right onto the bed and fell deeply asleep... 

"JIHYO!!!" June was shaking me. Finally I dragged my body up and washed up. I was no longer having a migraine or a fever or feeling ill. I headed out to school without my boring and cliche American Breakfast. Instead I went to the nearby minimart and had instant noodle for breakfast. The taste of its spiciness. The warmth of the hot water. The way my eyes seemed to tear as the heat got into my eyes. I missed it since a long time ago. Feeling satisfied and happy, I made my way to school to be greeted with concerns and worries of so many people. 

"Hey, how are you babe?" Eun Hye came to find me again. She touched my head and smiled from ear to ear. "You are feeling so cool today! Let's go!" We hooked our arms and headed to class. The moment I entered class, the teacher announced aloud," Please sit with your partners that was arranged yesterday! No changes allowed unless you want to fail this assignment!" Eun Hye looked at me, guilt and worry filling her eyes. Slowly, she unhooked her arm from mine and literally ran to sit beside Jong Kook. Her beloved boyfriend. Leaving me alone by the teachers' table. I suddenly recall that yesterday after the performance was supposed to be project group pairing. Now I was either partnerless or...

"Eun Hye! I am so sorry. Due to your absence yesterday, you will have to be paired with the other absentee." He smiled to me. "Kang Gary." 

I felt my world kind of like crumble down. I know who he was but he was that quiet and shy guy from our class. I never really spoke much to him although he hanged out with Jong Kook and Dong Hoon so much. Before I could say a word, someone crashed into me so hard my books fell out from my arms. 

"SORRY MR SONG!" He bowed so low I could not regconise him. However when he got up, the way the hoodie flipped back and the way his cap stood out, I knew instantly who it was. Kang Gary. 

"Nice timing. Gary, your partner for this entire project this entire semester. Song Ji Hyo!" People around me started clapping. Gary looked at me and all I could do was to tell him,"Let's go sit up there. Behind everyone else..." the word else dragging as I walked up the stairs to the seats higher up. He followed me and sat down 2 seats away from me. I got up and shifted to the seat beside him. 

"Song Ji Hyo!" I offered a hand. He looked at my hand and eyed it carefully. He then slowly reached out and shook my hand. Warmth spread all over my hand and I could not help but plaster a smile on my face. "Kang Gary," His deep voice resounded in my ear as the warmth from our hands spread like a forest fire...
