My breath caught in my throat as I glanced down to my wrist, to the time that was steadily ticking down to the moment that I would meet my soulmate. I watched the numbers move, each second taking me closer and closer to seeing his face, to finally being able to feel his touch and be in his embrace. It felt like I was about to faint, there was so much pressure placed on my shoulders. Somewhere out there, there was a person with the same time on their wrist. What were they doing right now? Were they just as nervous as I was about our meeting?

Two minutes was all that was left.

I glanced around the street as I wiped my sweaty palms on my skirt. Wide eyes searched the area, looking for that one person that would be mine forever. My throat tightened and I shuffled my feet as I looked down once again. The stoplight on the corner turned red as I glanced around, the people walking around and not having a care in the world about what was going to happen. I looked down to my worst again.
