Prologue:

Bae Suzy.

Bae Suzy, and her brother, Taehyung, were orphans. They lived with their maternal grandparents, until they decided to say goodbye to the world too, leaving the two children on their own. Suzy was twelve at that time and Taehyung was nine. The same year their grandparents passed away, Taehyung was diagnosed with lung cancer. During that time, the children were under the care of their aunt, Park Im-nee and uncle, Park Jin-hyun. Taehyung was definitely younger but, he was stronger than his sister, mentally, that is. Suzy would sit beside his bed and stare at him continuously. Taehyung would do nothing but smile at his noona. 

"How do you feel?" She'd ask everyday.
"Cancer-afied." He'd reply and she'd laugh and cry at the same time.

The cancer was curable, but there was a catch, he'd lose his voice. The cancer had spread to his larynx, so they had to throw it away, meaning he couldn't speak anymore. The treatment was costly, and Suzy's aunt and uncle weren't really that well to do. They didn't have their own children, but they still couldn't afford cancer treatment along with Suzy's education. For the sake of her brother's treatment Suzy gave up school, for a year. Taehyung couldn't attend school anyway, naturally, so both of them stayed out of school for about a year. Even after Taehyung was cured, he had a lung condition, he needed continuous treatment otherwise things could get out of hand. Suzy's life wasn't easy for the next few years, Taehyung had to either stay at home or at the hospital most of the time, and Suzy handled different jobs and school together. If there was one thing Suzy decided not to give up on, it was hope and her brother. Even, with the difficult life she had, she never stopped smiling. She knew, to live she had to let go of her weak self, and find strength, which she did.

Oh Sehun.

When your father, is a prestigious music producer, you don't really have much to worry about. Sehun was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was an only child. He had been surrounded by music ever since he was young. His mother used to sing him to sleep, her voice was like honey. As a kid, he couldn't get himself to sleep without listening to his mother sing first. Music was something that he was naturally attached to. His mother wasn't a professional singer but, she had a beautiful voice. He wanted to make other people happy through music just like his mother did. Sehun inherited his mother's talents, at a very young age his father molded him to become music-artist. The Oh Family had become well known in all of South Korea.

Sehun loved being on stage and performing, but it turned out that, that part of his job was the only thing he actually liked. He was home-schooled, he didn't have friends and he had to be surrounded by body-guards. He turned out to be a quiet person. He'd have to put up a fun, out-going facade in front of his fans, when his actual personality was the opposite.
His whole life was planned out for him, he loved his fans but, he didn't want any. He did not want any of this fame, none of it.
