I

Fallen' Angel

A/N: Hope you guys enjoy the first chapter!

Chapter One:

They say if you wish for something wholeheartedly, then you'll be granted with that wish in no time. That the more you desire for it, the faster you'll get it. But that's just a lie. As much as we want it to be true, we have to realize that everything that comes out of people's mouth is very untrue.

-

"Are you okay?" Jisoo asked the little bird who was smeared with blood on the upper part of its wing. Her heart ached watching the bird struggle with its fragiled self. Stupid Jisoo, he can't speak. She stared at it until she grew tired of it. She felt envious towards the poor bird. The fact that it got to die a pretty death made her grip the hem of her knitted sweater even harder. Jisoo carefully covered the bird with her handkerchief and made her way to the gas station market. Oh, how much she wished to die a quiet yet lonely death.

The night was creeping in but the way the stars lit up, somehow made it an alluring sight. The lovely sides of nature made her realize at times that life wasn't so bad. As much as she hated her job in the market. She couldn't help but be grateful that they gave her an opportunity despite the few people who needed the job as well.

She needed the money. No, it was required for her to get the money.

If it wasn't for him, she probably wouldn't be where she is right now. She would've been in her third year of college, enjoying every bits of her life. Unfortuneately, things didn't go her way.

Beginning her shift, she meticulously began to organize the new products that were stacked in a box. One by one, she sticked a price onto each product until there was none left. Even though it seemed such an easy job, it was frustrating and hard at times.

Coming from a second job, it would be expected to run out of energy. She'd be busy with other customers, runing back and forth. But it wouldn't be so bad at times, especially with the help of two boys who have helped her survive in that place.

Just as she waited for someone to come by, her stomach growled. She was hungry. Jisoo hadn't eaten since the morning and all she wanted to do was eat the food she was serving her customers earlier that day. She quickly fetched herself an instant ramen noodles located at the corner of the market. Jisoo eagerly ripped the plastic surrounding the medium sized cup and poored the boiling water on it.

As she waited for it to cool down, the bell signaling that someone came in, rung. Waiting to see who it was, a man who seemed to be in his 40's, greeted her with a smile.

"Hello"

"Hello" Jisoo shot back. He then went back to searching for his need essential. It didn't take long until he found it. As he placed it onto the counter, Jisoo gladly took it and swiped it into the machine. "Why is such a pretty looking lady working at such a job late at night?" the man suddenly asked.

Jisoo was taken aback by the unexpected question. In all truth, it made her think. Why is she working at such a place? Especially at night, when things could be dangerous. But then she remembered. It was all because of him.

"Money" she answered. The man nodded as he understood the reason.

He then put a ten dollar bill on the cup that read tips. "You really don't have to, sir" Jisoo told the man. The man just smiled at her. "Don't worry about it and just take it." Jisoo's corners at the end of rose up, revealing a sad but happy smile. She thanked the guy as she bid him goodbye.

It was rare to meet people who seemed to show a sense of compassion. Now a days, people were rude or even brash. Kind acts like these created a small hope within her.

Time went by quicker then she expected. Waiting until the other person came to take over her shift, she began to pack up the few things she brought with her. Not a lot of time passed until the guy arrived. As she made her way home, she decided to take the long route. She honestly didn't want to go home. Not yet. She needed to prepare herself for what was waiting for her at home.

The walk back home was quiet. Just the way she liked it. There were a few people still out and about at this hour. Most likely people, who have been partying half of the day. Then there were other people who were hurriedly heading home.

Jisoo's eyes widened when she heard the rustling of leaves behind her. She automatically quickened her pace and pulled her hoodie over her small head. The sound was no longer there as she realized that it was a stray cat randomly walking by. She brushed it off and hurried back home.

She tightened the grip on her messenger bag that was noticeably peeling off. She peacefully began to hum herself a lovely tune while once in while closing her eyes. The fresh breeze colliding with her delicate skin made her shiver inside her warm sweater. Soon, it'll all be over she whispered to herself.

-

The door creaked just as she opened it quietly. Peaking to find any signs of him, she swiftly waved her hand around. But to her relief, there was no one there.

Slipping out of her shoes, she began to pant heavily. She felt frightened. There was someone inside. She just knew it. A chuckle was soon heard coming from her bedroom. And it meant that he was here. Physically and mentally here.

"Oh, Did you just arrive?" the voice uttered. His rusky voice ringing in her ears.

"Y-Yeah, just a few minutes ago" she didn't mean to stutter. Jisoo had no intention of letting him know how tensed she was because of him right now. She quickly made her way towards the room.

"Are you hungry?" Jisoo asked.

The man chuckled again, "Well, I've been waiting for you to come. So yeah I'm hungry" He stood up and made his way closer to her. "I'm ing hungry" he fiercely told her while cupping her cheeks. "I-I'm sorry, just wait a sec until I get it ready."

Jisoo quickly went to the fridge and took out the left overs from yesterday night. It seemed discolored but she cooked it anyways. She didn't really care if anything happened to him. As the time ticked by, she couldn't help but feel impatient. She tapped her foot repeatedly while waiting for the dish to cook.

Before making her way to the room, she found him staring at her from afar. "Is there something wrong?" she questioned. He looked at her unamused at her sudden change of tone. Jisoo didn't mean for her tone to sound rude, I mean, she was just asking.

"What? I can't stare at my woman?!" he asked, moving towards her. "Do I have to ask for your permission now?" he furrowed his eyebrows at her, making her feel small in his gaze.

"N-No that's not what I meant" she responded rather fast.

He furiously smacked the plate out of her hands and slammed his fist against the table. "Then what did you mean?" he took a fistful of her cardigan in his hand and pulled her by it. "N-Nothing, i-it's just..that..I was asking" she answered, already terrified from his loud accusations.

Jisoo tried to push his hands away but to her luck, that only made him hold onto her tighter. "You're h-hurting me, Insu" she cried. That only encouraged him to hurt her. "Why do you have to piss me off?!" he whispered into her ear, taking in the scent of her shampoo. "Do you just love watching me get mad at you?!"

Jisoo rapidly shook her head, hoping he would understand. But the thing is, no matter what she said he wouldn't bother to listen. He would just go on and on with his scoldings.

"Get off!" she yelped as she felt his hands pinch her delicate skin while holding onto her cardigan. In response, he smacked her across the face, sending her flying to the floor. She groaned in pain as her back landed on the hard and cold floor. He bent down, grabbing her by the neck and yanking her off the floor. She cried even louder as she felt no air coming from .

"P-Please s-stop" she begged. He pulled her from the floor until her toes were in mid-air and strangled her. "Why do you make me do these things?" he looked at her, a sense of guilt over taking his dark orbs. "I love you so much" he told her. "But why do you always get me mad?!"

With her last strength, she screamed pleading for him to stop. She's sure she yelled loud enough to alarm her neighbors. And to her luck, she did. Repeated knocks were heard at the door, which then made him drop her to the floor.

"See what you caused?!"

Before opening the door, he ed his shirt in a fierce manner and opened the door.

"Hello?" he said, greeting the small figured woman at the door.

"Is everything ok?" she asked, flustered at the shirtless man. "Screams could be heard from this place" she told him. The man smiled at the lady, almost hypnotizing the poor woman with his charms. "Well, I'm sorry if you heard all those sounds" he apologized. "My wife and I were just having fun" he smirked, hoping she would get the clue.

The lady got the hint and scurried off, but not before she apologized for interrupting. Insu watched her figure disappear while cursing some words under his breath, "Stupid ing old lady."

Soon after, he averted his gaze to her. She was panting for air while holding . "Shut up!" he scolded. "Because of you, the neighbors almost found out!"

Jisoo just stood there, sobbing and consoling herself. Trying her best to stop crying. But something unexpected happened. The glint in his eyes changed.

He reached for her and embraced her tightly, hoping she would forgive him. He whispered how sorry he was while rubbing her back smoothly. That only made her start tearing even harder.

If she was able to be granted a wish. Just one wish. She'd wish to find true happiness. Even if it meant leaving him.
