I'm Sorry.
Songfic Compilation.Chapter 45; I'm Sorry.
“I need to see you one last time. Please, call me back when you get this.”
Woohyun desperately cried into his phone in hopes that Nicole would meet him at least this once.
It had been weeks since he last saw her and he was dying a little more each day seeing how his calls were not even returned.
Nicole left him just so simply, with no strings attached.
No words, texts. Nothing.
It was like she was never even there in the first place.
But she was. She wanted to listen to Woohyun’s voice.
Nicole needed him especially at times like this but he couldn’t.
She had never wanted anything to turn out this way.
Not when she know how Woohyun is definitely hurting.
But what he doesn’t know was that as much as he was in pain.
Nicole is a hundred, thousand times of that.
Woohyun, while missing her, he could look at photos, maybe even listening to her voice in random videos they took together.
But for Nicole, all she could do was remember him by memory.
She had to recall how soft his voice sound and how warm it felt to be in his arms.
She always needed to imagine him next to her nowadays.
These days, her life had been a little far too cold for her to adapt to.
Nicole actually planned to run away and maybe find Woohyun and live life with him but she couldn’t.
Not when she’s trapped in this kind of life.
Her parents owed debt to some thugs and instead of paying back or at least trying to, they sold her to them.
Nicole didn’t have a say at all.
“Please don’t leave me like this.”
Woohyun cried to himself, unable to fall asleep.
He had tried to go to Nicole’s home and find her but she wasn’t there.
In fact, her whole family weren’t there.
He felt so lost.
He had never given her enough.
He had not given her all that he wanted.
In fact, while dating each other, it was Nicole who had always been so giving.
She was the one who cared the most about him.
Woohyun had always taken her for granted.
He had always thought she would forever be with him.
At times, he even made her cry with his temper.
But Nicole, she’s as patient as anyone can get.
And she loved him.
“God, please. I haven’t loved her right.”
He prayed his knees on the floor.
He wanted a chance; he needed to see her again.
He doesn’t care to what extend he has to go to just as long as he can see her again.
“Please, can I use the phone? I need to call one person only. Please, I beg of you.”
Nicole pleaded, hugging the knees of the man before her, the owner of the brothel she was sold to.
She needed to hear his voice before she go insane.
Please, she begged.
But all she got was a kick in the face and a heart that could never be fixed until she see the only man she would ever love.
