Stop it

A new Journey

As soon as he saw Keke making the sign to shalt he stopped his track and waited for the commander to for further instruction. He had practiced the same situation over and over and yet it was an entirely different feeling knowing that this was no simulation but that the danger this time was real. He tried his best to stay calm and not let the adrenaline get the best of him. It was important to wait for order and never rush into action. Commander Tats signaled everybody to spread out and surround the group of enemies. They were double the count of their group if not more and heavily armed but their group had the advantage that they were on a higher platform and still unnoticed. Keke had warned them late but not too late. He had heated a lot of the one that commander trusted, everybody had. He still could barely believe that he was part of this group. As Shishi had come for him and explained to his superior that he was needed for a mission he had thought there had been some kind of mistake that maybe someone shared the same name was him and his superior had apparently thought the same as he asked for Shishi to repeat his command but Shishi had just pointed at him and told him to come ignored by his superior totally. But then it had turned out that not only was he in a mission together with the legendary Shishi Mato but also with the well-known Tats and rather than being afraid that the bandits could harm him he was pumped up to proof himself. Dada had always been a person that never get tiered as long as he did what he liked to do and that was how he managed to be one of the best members of his previous team but he had never thought it would be enough to fight alongside Tats Mato. The honor was huge and he knew compensate for it. It was the first chance to show that it was no mistake and that he was worth being part of this team. It could be an even greater push for his career if he could prove himself now so there was no room for mistakes. He put on his glasses and turned them to visibility mode. He counted fifteen persons and he could at least see five carrying guns but he would just assume that everybody was armed. He saw an emblem on one of the persons looking like a crossed sun. He had learned about them. They were a group of scavengers that hated the government and distrusted the city. They lived in the wild robbing, stealing and even killed to get what they could. They often brought devastation to smaller towns that were not properly shielded and they were known of been ruthless and dangerous. These parts of the outskirts were their territory. The government hardly took any action to take them down or adjudge there deeds and more and more reports came in lately. With every failure the government made their members rose. They knew no law and punished persons with their own reasoning and that mostly consisted of death for those who tried to harm them. If they saw their uniforms they would ty to kill them for that Dada was sure. He looked to Tats who signed to everyone to quietly get closer but not take any actions yet. He made his way forward and tried to be as quiet as possible. He will wondered why the enemy had not seen them yet because even if they were on a higher position whereas they were in a valley below they must have seen them until now but they were not taking any action. Dada drew his gun as they got closer and closer. The commander apparently wanted to wait until they were assaulted but the enemy did not draw any guns nor tried to flee. Something was definitely off and he was not the only one to notice it. Dada knew it would be best to attack right now even if he knew it was not possible to just shoot them down just because they were armed and this was possibly the reason why Tats let them wait. The seconds of waiting for Tats to take action felt like forever. He tried to watch every movement the enemy made but they were just walking their way as if they had not seen them at all. From the corner of his eyes he saw someone to his left turning hundred eighty degrees. It was the robot who was suddenly aiming his gun at someone behind him and that was when Dada noticed there were five persons behind them ready to shoot. While trying to corner the enemy they had been trapped from two sides but Dada had no time to think of how that could possibly have happened because as soon as the other part of the enemy had been noticed they begun firing at them. Tats gave them the signal to shoot back but Dada had to find some cover first because the enemy was attacking. There weapons were far not that advanced as the newest supersonic guns that Tats had managed to equip them with but was better positioned and in the majority. The shots were impossibly loud and seemed to come from everywhere. Tats, the robot and him tried to take care of the ones in the valley while the others tried to take out the ones behind them. He fired a few times hiding behind a rock that was far too small to cover his body and then ran towards the left to get into a better position. A few bullets went down right next to him only missing him by a touch. Dada saw one of the opponents fall to the ground being shot into the head supposedly by Tats who was just a bit behind him but making his way towards the enemy. He succeeded to take another one down who fell on the ground screaming. For one second Dada was shocked about what he had done starring at the man in horror but the movement of Tats got him back to the here and now. He had only heard that Tats was someone how still used traditional Matoki weapons but he never thought these rumors were actually true but now he saw that he indeed was fending bullets with two laser reinforced swords instead of using guns and he went more and more forward towards the enemy lines as if he could not be harmed at all. Dada decided he should best position himself that way that he could cover Tats the best possible way. He heard shouting form Shishi telling someone to move forward and wondered for a second if the analyst could handle the situation but had to ignore this question because he saw someone aiming directly at Tats from the side and he fired another three shots at him one hitting the enemy’s torso. He saw another one changing his ammunition and Dada used this moment to shot. He had to shoot five or six times until he got him. By now he was out of breath and heavily sweating but the adrenaline kept him fighting. On his left he noticed how the robot was now fighting against three of them without any problem.  He ran nearer towards Tats current position and stopped at a tiny ledge just above were Tats was fighting for of the enemy’s man. Dada shot down another one having a hard time to aim not firing at Tats who was moving at impossible speed. Tats had slashed his sword into the enemy’s body by now but two of them were still trying to get him down. Dada shot at a tall man that was currently trying to attack Tats from behind but all his bullets missed. Dada aimed again but noticed that he had spent all of his ammunition. He searched for more but he had used it all. Tats had by now slayed another one but managed to lose his weapons in the process. Dada saw the remaining guy attacking Tats pressing the commander onto ground and he had a hard time fighting against it. The others were far of on their right and couldn’t really help them. He thought about attacking him with his fist because he had no ammunition left but then he heard the robot saying something. In an instant he knew he was about to toss his weapon to him and a plan formed in his mind. He saw that Tats was hurting as the other tried to press onto his throat to choke him leaving him gasping for air and the only thought that came to his mind that he had to do something at all costs so he tried to symbolize Tats what he was about to do and hoped that Tats had enough trust in him that it was going to work. He made a backflip from one of the rocks and tried to catch the gun that Toto was indeed throwing, catching it midair and putting to holes into the enemy’s head. It was only after his feet caught ground again that he realized how crazy his idea had actually been but he had only thought about the commander being in danger and how he could stop it and even if it was more luck than judgment he had somehow managed to do it.

Author’s note: I’m sorry that all my updates take forever at the moment. I had a cold and couldn’t really concentrate well, so I wrote nothing the last few weeks. I try my best to make it up now but the chapter is still a bit short and I have never wrote a fighting scene before so I don’t know if it’s suspenseful or boring. The next one is going to be a little strange because I want to try something different but it’s not finished yet so you may have to wait a bit more.
