People say "Don't judge a book by its cover." but admit it, we all judge the covers or titles before we read a book.

If your titles are boring, nobody bothers to pay a visit to your story. 

 The titles should be 
♦ eye catching
♦ Interesting
♦ Unique 
♦ Short

If your title is dull and fairly common, Na-Uhh.
For example, "Falling in love with A Jerk", "_____, The  Jerk", or "Marrying The Jerk." 
There are a lot of jerk stories or titles, so avoid using them. I mean they are catchy titles but there is a battle for jerk stories in AFF. 
 

Also, it should be appropriate and match your storyline. 

Another point, if you make your title too long, it won't grip readers' attentions. So it should be short and easy to remember. Not to mention, it would be hard to put in the poster. 

"An effective title should be interesting, convey the tone or central idea of the story, and be easy to remember."

If you have problems, brainstorm it. 

1. A key word or phrase that runs through your story.

2. The name of a character or place important to the plot.
